Gameplay-wise I’m pretty impressed. Aesthetically I’m still underwhelmed that it’s basically the same

Ok I’m a little more sold now. These new abilities are seriously awesome. I really like that Nintendo actually paid attention to everything players were doing with the first game and leaned into it. The fusion stuff brings so many new possibilities to the table. Still pretty disappointed about it largely feeling very samey, but I really liked what I saw gameplay wise

The game is so close to release I kinda don’t want to watch

I’m always excited for a new core Zelda game. But this probably the least excited ive ever been for one. Idk, I’m sure it’s going to be a great game, just doesn’t really have a wow factor to it yet. Personally, I’ve played a lot of souls games since playing botw, and it scratches a certain Zelda itch that Zelda itself hasn’t in a very long time. But that’s just me

Played it so much it makes me sick thinking of it. Somehow, I’m still disappointed in it despite putting so many hours into it. All the new features and stuff were awesome, but it still felt like it was made in 2006 or something.

In smb3, the fortress that takes you to the sky in world 5; there’s these two little dangly lamp things. You never see them anywhere else in the game why

@duffmmann I don’t think anyone is asking about an underground because this game is going to be heavily focused on the sky. I definitely wouldn’t count on or expect an underground

I’m honestly kinda worried this game is not going to pull off what the first one did. It’s going to be a good game, but a lot of what we’ve seen so far kinda looks like areas will be segmented, less open, and a little samey. I think the sky portions will replace the shrines and there will be either 4 new beasts or 4 dungeons.

Kinda wish weapons worked more like a souls game, but I wouldn't mind the degradation thing again. Just as long they add some QoL. Would be cool if there was a better mix of permanent and breakable weapons that do things your perm weapons dont

@H8erade this actually was not working by the 3ds/Wii u era. It's part of the reason the switch is so successful. 3ds struggled for a good while before really taking off, and Wii u never found it's footing. Development and revenue has been streamlined at this point, they are never going back to handheld and console being separated

If the next console isn't a more powerful switch, and it's some other confusing concept, it's dead

@Browny I think in light of recent smash controversy and the fact that DYKG is effectively the face of of video game history online, it’s a perfectly reasonable reaction. DYKG probably plays a huge part in people being interested in retro gaming. Nintendo should be FEEDING DYKG, not putting the clamps on it over something so insanely petty

@HeadPirate I would argue that Nintendo was already highly uncomfortable with there being this big of an esports community for smash. The abuse scandals is just easy ammo for them

@nessisonett welp, my daughter loves it so I don’t know what to tell ya. She also Miyazaki movies which have incredible female leads. She also likes Elsa and Princess Leia. I think you are tunnel visioning this. The whole criticism of the tropey badass female character is just insular online culture war junk. Literally never hear any of these same people criticize male characters for being overpowered.

Like the biggest critiques of this trailer are; peach’s proportions, peach’s face, peach’s voice, peach’s personality, the way she dresses. It’s so predictable how guys are gonna react to this stuff, you can set your watch to it

@nessisonett the dress wearing woman running around ‘doing femininity’ is a much bigger trope by a huge margin. Not to mention majority of male tropes are even more stale, overdone and boring.
