@JimiVall I don’t think that’s necessarily true. I personally think the abbreviated style here is still pretty excellent. Like I mentioned above, my issue is more about it being dialogue driven vs gag driven

Kind of disappointing that it’s shaping up to be more of a dialogue based show rather than gag driven shorts like the ones that inspired the game. Really into the voices. That said the animation and style are great even tho they are abbreviated from the game. I’ll definitely be checking this out when it drops, I just love Cuphead too much not to

@JimiVall that would be an extremely expensive and difficult show to make. It took like 8 years to animate all that stuff by hand for the game itself.

@Thomystic interesting tidbit, a long time ago sega sold commercial software packages that included some stock sound effects. A chinese pachinko machine manufacturer started making cash registers and loaded them with that sonic ring sound. I think that was in the 2000s, so there’s loads of gas stations that still use them

@MegaVel91 I think we’ve got a pretty good grasp on what this game is. There’s stuff they haven’t shown obviously, but if there was more to the core gameplay we would have seen by now.

I was all in when they revealed this game, but honestly idk. With the exception of the Pokémon vehicles thing, I feel like nothing really new has been revealed since then. I have a feeling this game is going to be kind of just ok. It really reminds me the gamefreak game Town

@Gamepro500 mk8 is not a new Mario kart game, and they’ve already said multiple times that the switch is going to have a longer than usual lifespan.

I think it will be tail end of this year if 2022. Splatoon 3 will likely be summer, I think there would realistically be 4-5 months between it and Zelda. I still would not be surprised at all if it was pushed. Zelda always gets pushed

I’m hyped it looks rad. Had a dream that there was a lightsaber type weapon…now I’m thinking that might actual be possible. Do it!

I loved this game. I don’t really see myself going back to it, but i thought it was a great sequel even if it wasn’t that fundamentally different

Honestly I didn’t know a single gamer in real life who wasn’t extremely hyped immediately. Was a waayyyyyy different energy than Wii U reveal. Was pretty obvious it was going to be a blockbuster imo. People who doubted it either had Wii U ptsd or just the usual Sony/ms/pc elite gamurr$

I’ll believe it when I see it, but totally ok with just prime 1. The other two really aren’t that good. Bring on a prime 1 full remaster, I’ll eat it up

I played every day for about 9 months, with many of those days feeling like i was obligated. jumped back in when the update dropped, and honestly it feels quite refreshed. I've bulldozed about half my island just to have something to work towards with all the new items. It's a shame this stuff wasn't here to begin with, because it feels so much more complete now.

I think it's pretty clear Nintendo going to stick with the switch concept, potentially in other forms, for a good while. If their next console was just a better switch, I am 1000% ok w that

I've been saying this too. First off, it's like saying lazy astronaut. Game development takes a crazy amount of effort and planning, even horrible games. Its really just money at the end of the day. Directors and producers and executives and even shareholders sometimes decide how much money is going to be spent on any given aspect of development, and it trickles down from there. there's not n64 trees in pokemon because some guy just wants to go home early. its the result of a calculation somewhere way higher up the chain. blame execs, not devs

There’s no question that yoshis island is a better game, but I personally love yoshis story. I’ve never played another platformer like it, the structure is very unique. My only cons would be the floaty controls and the baby singing. Other than that, I think this game deserve more credit than it gets

I don’t think I realized until I was older that sonic 2 on game gear was straight up just a bad game and that’s why it was hard.
