June and July are set to be an exciting period for the Switch, with Nintendo releasing Mario Golf: Super Rush and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD.
The other day we got a look at the box art of Skyward Sword and now Nintendo's social account has released a look at the bright, colourful and stunning North American version of Mario Golf: Super Rush.
"Check out the #MarioGolf: Super Rush box art!"
Mario Golf: Super Rush is the first entry since the 2014 3DS title and once again Camelot is in charge.
The game will include all the familar Mushroom Kingdom characters and a variety of lush and scenic courses. In addition to this is a local and online multiplayer, and modes such as Story and Speed Golf. You'll even be able to play as your own Mii and swing your club with the Joy-Con controller.
Mario Golf: Super Rush arrives on the Switch on 25th June. Tell us what you think of the box art in the comments below.

I dunno about stunning but it looks fine I guess. More or less what I'd expect to see for the box art of a Mario Golf game.
With Mii return once again on Mario Golf Super Rush and Miitopia HD, i think Nintendo want to revive Mii games on Switch.
Toadstool Tour was AMAZING, I hope they looked to that game for what to do right. From what we have seen so far, it looks like there won't be much course variety or extremely wacky victory/lose animations. Takes too much of the safe route from Aces. But who knows, this is the first trailer. I'm sure there is way way more yet to be revealed...just bring the Camelot style back please
@PBandSmelly I'm pretty unsure what to think yet from the first trailer. The fact that it actually has a proper story mode is really promising, should hopefully be a lot better than the boring single player mode in Mario Tennis Aces. The courses in the trailer do look pretty bland and boring though so I hope they get more interesting as we see more.
Judging by the facial expressions I'd say Toad is Mario's partner in this foursome.
@Anti-Matter I'm ok with that. I have nothing against them (Turns out they were used in BotW!)
If this brings me even a modicum of the same sense of joy I felt playing Toadstool Tour, then I'll be very happy.
Art looks good! The ball is a little wonky, but I know it is the effect they are going for.
I didn’t realize that golfers only used one glove.
@Anti-Matter don’t you mean DDR?
I can't say I am stunned, but it's pretty nice, I guess. Was hoping for more explosions.
Is that Sue Sylvester from Glee doing the voice over?
@PessitheMystic
I imagined Tomodachi Life 2 or Mii Sports for Switch.
Luigi's trousers look... tight... and now I can't unsee it.
Looks good. Very excited for this.
I can't wait for this game, I liked the MarioTennis Aces game on the Switch. But I found the story mode extremely lacking. I do hope this will bring back the memories of those GBC/GBA Mario sports games.
Even though it's with Miis.
@guamyankee Judging by the direction of their stare Toad has seen something the others have not.
@Clyde_Radcliffe it's enhanced by the swoosh effect of Mario's (big) club. It looks more natural in the video thumbnail.
Looks a bit bland and empty If you ask me.
It sort of looks like the ESRP logo has pushed everything upwards, causing Peach’s head to get nipped by Switch logo. But... well, it’s Mario, and he’s playing golf, so it does the job!
Looking so forward to this, just hope that you can do local multiplayer with a single switch...
Looks like pretty generic to me, excited for the game though
I'm all over this day 1. Cannae wait 😃
That green will be much more muddy in cmyk print. Just s head up.
If they bring the complexity and fun of RPG leveling from GBC/GBA with the Miiness of Open Tour, then there’s a Chance it could work. My biggest fear is that the Camelot Mario sports games are suffering from the same forced lack of ingenuity that the Paper Mario series has suffered from. If this game falls flat, at least I’ll know for certain that it’sa lost cause and won’t have to keep an open mind for future installments.
I still have the GameCube version and I’ve no doubt this will be just as fantastic. Cannot wait. What a lovely unexpected surprise from the Direct that nobody saw coming
Game of the Direct for me, can't wait for this.
As much as I went in thinking this would be clickbait....I was wrong. I wouldn’t call the art stunning, but the attention to detail is pretty top-notch.
Still won’t buy it I thought, I prefer much, much simpler golf games (like Desert Golf!)
NINJA APPROVED
Yeah it looks decent — I really liked Everybody's Golf, and this seems to have a similar vibe.
well that looks pretty ok, i think the most neat part is nintendo being more open to dressing up the cast in sports attire
Dayum. Mario's looking fiiine these days. He must have spent his free time in lockdown playing Ring Fit Adventure.
Not me, though. My diet has consisted of vegetative... games...
More standard than stunning. It's a nice render, nothing special. Excited for the game though and that's the main thing
That subtitle is kind of odd. Rush and Golf are the complete opposites of each other. Plus I keep reading it as "Sugar Rush".
I just hope they don't lock characters behind a paywall like they did with the 3DS version. It sucked because I couldn't play as a Rosalina.
NL pushing the baity headlines again the last couple of days I see 🙄
@Andee I'm a fan of E'sG too. Turns out Camelot developed the very first installment in 1997, before the series went to Clap Hanz.
Maybe they're returning to that less wacky style, now that Everybody's Golf looks more and more like a thing of the past?
Infact, this will be my firts Mario Golf ever, I've always ignored it and tbh I'm fine with more sober course design.
It's about time. It's took them long enough.
I'm super excited about this title! Hope they don't let me down.
Got my eyes on you Camelot!
I don't know if I'll get this. Not a big golf (or sports) fan and Mario Tennis Aces was fun in some areas, but nothing special.
Cover is cool. Not stunning, but cool.
Disappointed with Luigi’s lunchbox this time round
@SuperCharlie78 Yup, it'll be mine too! I did try PGA 2K21 (loved the Tiger Woods series between '04 and '06) but I found it a little dry - I also like the RPG-lite elements that Super Rush are touting!
Looks generic as hell.
Just a standard cover to me, nothing amazing about this what so ever. Then again its golf....
needs dozens of actual mario themed whacky courses
@TheFullAndy,
It looks like a golf game to me, and not sure what we want it to look like to be honest, and in all fairness we have not seen that much of it.
I wanted a Wii Sports club experience with more courses, so this looks like it will do exactly that, I am also not a big fan of all those special moves in the tennis games, hoping this is a more traditional type of affair.
@Exciter89,
The Mario golf titles have usually had a mix of more traditional and Mario themed courses, although on the trailer they did mention lush natural scenery, so we may need to wait and see.
the story mode reminds me of Mario Power Tennis on the GBA. upon leveling up in the single player mode you could allocate skill points towards things like slice, topspin and many more. you also had very fun minigames giving you exp. i hoped it would come back in tennis aces but it seems Camelot saved that for this game.
Buying this on sale for sure
@johnvboy
When the article writer promises stunning box art I expect stunning box art!
That is not stunning box art lol
Hope they bundle Mario Tennis and Gold in the future!!
Urgh. I'll wait for a deep discou...oh damn sorry, wrong thread.
I loved Mario Golf on the Gamecube, and I love a round or two of NES Open on the Online, this is definitely something I'm looking forward to.
I'm not sure I needed this reminder that New York Italians are chubbier than Euro Italians...
@BrintaPap I didn't realise they did that for the GBA one too! I got the GBC game when it was new and I loved it!
Looks a bit bland and empty If you ask me.
@TheAwesomeBowser Considering that this game's major innovation is the Speed mode, you'd think they'd capitalize. An attractive cover with all those Mario characters racing forward, clubs in hand, might easily draw in non-golf fans...
@Divinebovine I also played the gamecube version, the games are totally the same except for the part where the game boy version has a (good) singeplayer game. The gamecube version has multiplayer.
@TheFullAndy,
Sorry I thought you thought the game looked generic, the box art is what I expected to be honest, but yes a bit bland.
@johnvboy
Yeah just the box art, the game itself looks good fun especially the speed golf.
@WiltonRoots,
I wanted them to announced Wii U club sports, as my favorites have always been golf and bowling, the bowling has been taken care of with 51 clubhouse games, this will give me the golf with a lot more variety and courses.
@TheFullAndy,
Sorry pal, should have realized what you meant.
@johnvboy
No harm done!
@johnvboy Yeah I tried out the bowling the other week, I have someone else's account on my Switch so I log in as them and use Clubhouse on mine - the bowling feels great with motion controls, especially with the HD rumble.
It looks like standard level box art nothing special
A nice bright cover, like it!
Well it makes it look exciting sorta, I ain’t gonna buy it golf is way to boring.
looks like this year's mario tennis, in terms of graphics bo art, logo, presentation, etc
fun fact: mario is in the same position for Mario golf 64/gameboy color, super rush, and world tour
I loved the 64, GBC, GBA, and GC versions. Will definitely be getting this game day one especially since it adds character build elements. I know it’s Mario Golf but Wario’s golf outfit alone should’ve got him a spot on the cover. Those pants are fire!
Stunning? Lol, okay dude... 😋
I really don't care about golf at all, for several reasons. But that rush mode... Now that seems like fun. Not so much that it will make me buy a full price game, but credit where credit's due: they actually made me want to play a golf game.
So far, I've only played Mario Golf World Tour on the 3DS, but I've heard a lot of great things about Toadstool Tour and I'll definitely be getting Super Rush soon. Despite the skinny-ass Switch cases, Nintendo still makes some amazing box art for their triple-A Switch games.
Looks nice but will download like I did with the 3DS game
This is setting a pretty low bar for "stunning." It's not bad, but for Mario themed box art, it's pretty much par for the course .
(I'll apologize to the whole internet for that pun).
I can't wait! The n64 and GameCube versions were amazing spend so much time with those! <3
Nice art. You can see it's the game with the long golf stick and not the one with the tennis bats.🏌️♂️
Now that Camelot is confirmed, I'm all in!!!
Would have rather have seen a different mix of characters than in 3d world. Once again Yoshi takes a back seat. No Wario or Waluigi. Art looks boring to me 🤷♂️
@WiltonRoots,
The bowling is pretty good on 51 games,they have made some nice improvements when you release the bowl as well, much better.
I loved mario golf on n64. Will possibly get this but not sure of when.
I can’t justify full price on these sports titles... game looks good, but I’d need a demo of the rush mode, preferably online MP enabled demo, to really sell me.
I'm definitely picking this up. Physically of course.
It’s nice that a major video game protagonist doesn’t set unrealistic body standards.
Now that Everybody's Golf is officially dead, this will be my go to series for my golfing needs.
