The Xbox, Game Pass and Windows game Call of the Sea is coming to the Nintendo Switch, according to a new rating in Taiwan. It was also confirmed for a PlayStation release in the month of April.
This adventure puzzle story is Out of the Blue's debut title - a Spanish studio comprised of a small group of veteran developers who have previously worked on titles such as Metroid: Samus Returns, Deadlight, Celeste and Guacamelee 2.
Players take control of Norah, the female protagonist in the game who is voiced by Cissy Jones - best known for her previous work in The Walking Dead: Season One and Firewatch. Here's some backstory:
Set in the 1930s, it is a first-person adventure puzzle game that tells the story of Norah, a woman on the trail of her missing husband’s expedition. The search takes place on a strange but beautiful island in the South Pacific, filled with secrets waiting to be unearthed. It is an otherworldly tale of mystery, adventure, and self-discovery.

Been on my Steam wishlist for a while so I'll pick this up in Switch instead now.
It's a really good game - if you like games like Myst or The Witness.
Nothing the Switch can't handle.
I recommend it!
I have it on Game Pass and its great, i recommend it and i hope it comes to switch
games that are rated before release usually are true so maybe it could happen.
this trailer does interest me so I hope it comes to switch. It doesn't look graphically demanding so maybe it is possible
Might pick it up on gamepass once I've got through my backlog, but it's not the kind of game I would spend money on.
This is the only game I've ever played that gave me motion sickness 🤢 Also it's not that good in my opinion - 6/10
Definitely would check this out, may pick it up during a sale.
@Mr-Fuggles777
What games do you spend money on?
This is an example of why a Gamepass future is the death knell of good and original games and why personally I hope it falls flat on its face, though unfortunately it seems unlikely.
@TheFullAndy if people want to buy it they will still buy it. Gamepass is a good thing imho (and I dont even have a xbox). Sure the step to buy gets lowered since you can play it on gamepass… but would some people even try this game if it were not on gamepass?
Played some of this on Game Pass and it’s pretty good. Recommended.
@BrintaPap
It will get to the point, and I have seen people say this already about games, where people go "I'll wait til it shows up on Gamepass".
That can only be bad for developers.
Kind of thought this was already out... Like others, I already played this on Game Pass. It’s a good to very good puzzle game, with fine voice acting, colourful visuals and a strong story with a nice Lovecraftian tinge. Switch would be an ideal platform for it.
@TheFullAndy Sure, but the flip side to that is that it allows people to play, and in some cases, buy games they would normally never have played.
Admittedly it's not some small indie game, but I likely would never have played or bought Forza Horizon 4 if it weren't for Game Pass; I've ended up buying a couple of the DLC packs too recently and also bought FH3 off the back of how much I (and my daughter) liked it. If it gets removed when FH5 is release then I'm going to buy it too. I've also played a few things on Game Pass that I only played because they were leaving the service - I've ended up adding those to my Switch wishlist after playing because I wanted to get them on a handheld.
Nobody is forcing developers onto Game Pass, so they must be getting something out of it; they're not going to be putting their games on there if they think it'll lose them sales.
Well worth a playthrough. An interesting narrative, some tricky puzzles and really nice art direction and scenery, at least on the Series X.
@dmcc0 The Forza games seem to be available digitally for exactly 4 years before the rights expire. It's been a recurring happening with the last few games being delisted, so if this keeps up, Forza Motorsport 7 will disappear this winter, with Horizon 4 following next year.
I wouldn't call it great - beat it on gamepass and it was fun , but it has enough frustrating moments that I would call it slightly better than just fine.
The movement speed for your main character is... just...so...SO...slooooooooow.
@TheFullAndy On the flip side, without having to worry about commercial success in units sold, developers could potentially focus on making a game that fits their vision, with the backing of MS for development. Case in point: Psychonauts 2
That said, I don't disagree with you, but if your game wasn't going to sell great, gamepass can be a real boon, particularly for live service games where recurring daily players is more important.
Necrobumb... this has finally come out, but no mention of Switch... anybody know anything more?
