@gcunit As much as I wish I could hack my switch (I can't because of online), cheaters aren't such a big deal like many people make them out to be. There's no way around it; if you hack your Switch, say good-bye to online capabilities.

They have a lot of potential in Smash, in my opinion. I would prefer a stage or assist trophy, but I think they would almost be similar to the Miis. They don't really fit one role, and have so many tools that I think being customizable is necessary.

However, anybody who thinks Steve is confirmed because Microsoft happened to use an extremely common phrase is very desperate. This is dumb.

An easy solution is to use a dedicated stand. I have the Nintendo charging stand, and I use a USB-C to A adapter to plug the black USB cable on the adapter in. The grey is only for rumble and can be left out or in another power source. The downside is that you'd need a USB hub or somethin to charge it, so the Hori stand with dedicated USB and charging ports would be better, but it's larger and more expensive.

@thesilverbrick You only need to plug in the black one to use the adapter. The grey one is to provide power for rumble, so you can leave it off or plug it in somewhere else.

I doubt it would be very successful due to the ease of emulating touch-controlled games on Android, but a proper mobile release would probably be much better than emulating it. It would look better, sound better, and be more visually coherent as you're not cramming 2 screens onto 1. I'd definitely buy Spirit Tracks on mobile.

@Baker1000 the main issue IMO is that they end up having very imbalanced weight. Having the phone above the controller is very fatiguing for the wrists

@Not_Soos She could use a VPN. It must be set in the router, costs money, and I believe the government tries blocking them often. But it will elimimate all restrictions when set right (and connected to a different country, I'd imagine). It will increase latency.

@ActiSwitch Right, that's the one I was thinking of! I read it's 5GB somewhere, not that it matters. Even if it were 5GB and not 8GB, my puny ADSL upload speeds could never handle that! Nintendo isn't gonna leave out those without 1gbps fiber...

@Agramonte PSX, Gamecube, Wii, PS2, etc. have large games... it's pretty hard to download them all at once, especially if you have slow internet.

@Jeronan I think the main issue is the nasty sharpening filter used in handheld mode, and to a lesser extent (present in both docked and handheld mode), the hyper-aggressive post-process anti-aliasing used that makes everything extremely blurry.

The sharpening really kills the beauty in the game while playing in handheld mode, though.

I find this kinda useless considering you can build a PC for a relatively low price which will run Melee at any resolution (emulated) no problem, with equivalent or LOWER input latency than a Gamecube/Wii.

Spending $150 on this just seems kind of ridiculous when you can get a nearly lag-free solution with a higher resolution without spending a buttload of money extra. The lack of a need to upscale the image like on the GCHD is also a plus, so there are fewer artifacts and (depending on the scaler present in the monitor) noticeably lower input delay.

Oh, and a Wii + HDMI adapter is super cheap, though it messes with the image some in my experience.

@Antray1984 If Shulk is removed I will be on the verge of suicide (unless Fiora or Melia replaces them PLEASE NINTENDO I NEED THEM).
Plus, I'd bet you that after the success of Xenoblade 2 Nintendo is working on a remastered version of the first game (or even just virtual console), so keeping Shulk in there would still be good heckin marketing.
Also, Sakurai really loves Xenoblade so I wouldn't be surprised at all if he decides to keep the old characters, as we can see with Waifu Emblem.

I never finished DOOM on PC because of it's buggy save file crud, but this is tempting me to buy it on the Switch. Being able to have accuracy close (or, depending on how accurate you are, better than) a mouse is something that helped me greatly while playing BOTW and Splatoon on the Wii U.
