@Hughesy I thought you meant discrete surround sound, sorry. Even still, this should be far more accurate as the game is using information of where the sounds are coming from and distance between the player and sound source, etc. compared to a typical virtual surround algorithm which will, at best, use a 7.1 audio stream as its source, which Fortnite doesn't even support.

@NintonicGamer That's probably because Smash for Wii U uses very high-bitrate BFSTM audio files, whereas Ultimate uses low-bitrate Opus audio files. While Opus is an incredible compression codec, it does have its limits, which causes the music in Smash Ultimate to suffer greatly (I would've appreciated if the sample rate might've been lowered to have a higher overall quality at the same bitrate, but RIP). Also, Smash Wii U has a heckton of high-quality videos (fighter reveal trailers n stuff).

@Hughesy Huh?? Fortnite doesn't support surround sound on PC at least. The Switch has support for uncompressed 5.1 surround sound anyways, but this is something totally separate, which the game still doesn't support. This new option uses info from the game itself for more accurate HRTF info.

The Paladins comparison really hits hard, though. There's no good reason for it to run at 30fps. I understand why the texture quality was lowered, though it is slightly disappointing, it's fine.

I gotta be honest, an actual N64 game would look much better than this. The final shot with the trees looked hideous and I can guarantee y'all it wouldn't have looked that bad.

@nintendoknife idk chief personally i prefer the ps vita because the oled screen is friggin amazing... the switch has the advantage of n64 support though

@JohnnyC Funny thing is that they wouldn't even need to be streamed. Admittedly I haven't tried Gamecube games myself but the Switch can run many fine in Linux from what I've seen. Get a properly-optimized emulator (not to bash Dolphin, but something made in-house for the Switch and its OS would be better) and the Switch could totally emulate most any Wii game with few issues.

Also I'm p sure that PS Now doesn't support PS2 games, afaik the PS4 emulates them

@Rhaoulos I'd advise against Sandisk if you're shopping online. I always get counterfeit Sandisk cards from Amazon, although they usually work well enough. Still, I only buy Samsung cards online now. At least from Amazon I've bought several and never had an issue.

Honestly having The Complete Saga remastered was the most hype part of that presentation. I heckin loved Lego Indiana Jones and Lego Star Wars when I was a little boi, I remember hiding under the sheets for hours playing them on my DS. I just hope they don't have voice acting. I loved the Lego games before they introduced it but afterwards I just couldn't get myself to like it, it lost so much of its charm

Y'all are so focused on Labo VR for BOTW but have you considered using a Wii U emulator and modded version of BOTW for VR? We already have a first-person mod.

This would definitely save money for large Smash tournaments, it's a little complicated to have everyone bring their own Switch for such large tournaments and $14,000 saved is a metric ****ton of money

@Spudtendo I modded my Joy-Con to have a d-pad (custom white shell) and while it's a bit tougher, it's still fine in multiplayer.
