Re: We Can Now Relive the GameCube Era Thanks to this Joy-Con Compatible Keyboard

Braok

@Grumblevolcano Again, gyro controls are about as effective as a mouse. Keyboard doesn't matter unless you're playing something like Quake where you have to switch through a dozen weapons quickly and accurately. I was able to use a Steam Controller in low Masters rank in competitive with great success (Widowmaker and McCree, mainly). If you aren't a starving stick of a human who desperately needs protein then it's COMPLETELY competitively viable. Splatoon proves it

Re: Poll: Who Is Your Favourite ARMS Fighter?

Braok

@LUIGITORNADO im not trying to shame anybody, im just trying to tell them that they need to calm their d***s down, theyre gonna get a heart attack from how much they care about a fictional characters butt
Maybe thats the same thing

lol

Re: Poll: Who Is Your Favourite ARMS Fighter?

Braok

You all need to calm down. I get it, TWINTELLE IS THICC, but it's a VIDEO GAME, if you want thicc there are hundreds of sources you can get that from which I will not list for very obvious reasons. You're lusting for a fictional character. I don't care if you like her design or draw lewd depictions of her, but calling a fictional character your "waifu" just for her body and nothing else is going a bit far. And no, I'm not talking about everyone who voted for Twintelle, but the vast majority of you voted for Ms. Thicc who's tight pants have red stitching.
Just a friendly reminder that video games are interactive media, not passive. Please don't play ARMS with 1 hand if you are lucky enough to have 2.

Re: Senran Kagura Nintendo Switch Title Will Have a 'Charmingly Stupid' Story

Braok

I guess I'm getting this on launch day, I had already made a Japanese Nintendo Account. Better make sure to close the game when exiting my room. Will it have a button to instantly show a fake turn-based RPG on the screen when your mom walks in? Maybe?
Jokes aside, someone's going to lose their job because of this. It's scary m9

Re: Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Composer Confirms Soundtrack Is Practically Complete

Braok

@Zeargo please just play xenoblade chronicles

Xenoblade Chronicles and the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney trilogy are the best games I've ever played (DOOM might be up there after I finish it, my save file was corrupted at the end of chapter 6). Make sure you have some good audio equipment for it, that's half the enjoyment.
Also, an 8 year old said I dabbed terribly. Please make my day better by letting me know another person has the chance to play Xenoblade Chronicles.

Re: Feature: The Best Nintendo April Fools' Day Gags of 2017

I've never played Bayonetti, can't wait for 1440p 144fps Bayonetta
Or better, 1080p 240fps Bayonetta :^)
That would be pretty hard to achieve, if not impossible even with a GTX 1080 ti and i7 7700k on lowest settings, to be honest
Still, jokes aside, high FPS Bayonetti with any form of input I want...
I will complete Bayonetta at 10fps using a Piano!
Good thing I own a Makey Makey

Re: Video: Digital Foundry Breaks Down the Resolution and Framerate in Splatoon 2

Braok

@speedracer216 but framerate means fun my boy
Imagine playing a shooter at 20fps, unplayable
There's a reason there are completely unnecessary 240fps monitors for PC now, you won't have as good of a time if you don't get a high framerate, and a low framerate isn't good for competition either. 30fps would be fighting with the controls m8, shooters demand a high FPS. It's in their name

Re: Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Uses Dynamic Resolution Scaling To Maintain Performance

Braok

I must have good, young eyes then, because it's easily noticeable on my 42 inch 720p plasma TV lol

especially in portable mode, you can clearly see the grass at a lower resolution than Link and then you go down a bit more and there's so much grass it has to lower the resolution of the entire screen
Nothing that impacts gameplay though, the low foliage resolution can be distracting (especially when you're looking for the Blupee) but it's implemented very well imo

More importantly than dynamic resolution, Fast RMX devs need to tone down the default volume lol

Re: There's an Option in FAST RMX that Makes the Whole Game Sharper

Braok

@GustavoMaciel IMO the only game it looks good in is DOOM, it helps the A E S T H E T I C and is very subtle.
Other than DOOM and probably a few other examples chromatic aberration is terrible, though you seem to disagree with me
It's nice to see graphics options on a console game though.

Re: Nintendo Switch Teardown Images Pop Up Online

Braok

@JaxonH they could underclock it though
EDIT: had a bunch of stuff written up for this edit but I realized I sounded like a complete idiot (more than before) and that I don't know shizzle about batteries
NINJA EDIT: theres still nothing wrong with underclocking it and they could just make this custom GPU equal to the X1 instead of underclocking it

Re: Nintendo Switch Teardown Images Pop Up Online

If they used the, what, 16nm architecture (Pascal) they probably would've saved space, cost, and battery life...
First, there might be space for a bigger battery. Second, it's more efficient. Third, it would cost less for something equal in power.

I'm really hoping this is just because they couldn't get it out on time.
This isn't about power, it's about efficiency. Less heat, money, energy, and space. If they delayed the console we could have that. NO. NINTENDO I REALLY WANT THE SWITCH BUT I DON'T THINK YOU MADE A GOOD DECISION HERE.
