Original Article (Tue 18th Aug, 2020 14:15 BST): Nintendo has announced plans to host a 'Share The Fun' sale on Nintendo Switch this week.
Currently confirmed for Europe only (we'll keep an eye out for confirmation of any similar sale taking place in North America), the sale will have a focus on multiplayer titles available on Switch. It'll be kicking off this Thursday and will discount titles by as much as 75%.
We'll make sure to round up some of the best offers from the sale once it's live on Thursday, but consider this a heads-up - you might want to avoid picking up any multiplayer games over the next couple of days, just in case your chosen game gets a tasty discount later in the week.
Which games would you be tempted to buy at a discounted rate? Anything you've had your eye on? Let us know in the comments.

Bet Snipperclips will be included.
@Snatcher Nintendo had a similar sale exclusive to NA just a few months ago. Seems fair to me.
NOA does do a good amount of sales, but it seems like Europe gets them a lot more frequently and they are steeper.
No Nintendo, stop draining my bank accountttttt
I want dariusburst,devil engine & rolling gunner lol so no chance
Fingers crossed for ARMs
Minecraft. My kids all wany a copy each
@syrupdash why?
@r1chard arms crossed for Fingers
@setezerocinco it's always included.
@IronMan30 I have 2 accounts - one American and one Europe. And I can tell you: American sales are more often and crazy cheap (sometimes) in comparison.
Hoping Good Job! will be included in this sale
I need this type of sale from the Japanese eShop. I have 1500 Japanese gold coin begging to be spent.
@Coxula I said "seems" for a reason, not trying to say it really is the situation. It just looks the way I described, both regions do tend to get frequent sales.
@IronMan30 Just hit the «Sales» tag on top of the articel, and you can see how often you see «North America» compared to «Europe».
My favourite games are multiplayer for playing with my family so hope there's something cool i haven't got yet
I’ve literally just bought ‘Borderlands The legendary Collection’. What are the odds?😂
I'd love a good deal on Stretchers or Nidhogg.
Why doesn’t Nintendo just do international sales.
I'll check out the sale, but I probably already bought the multiplayer games that I want.
@theiRiS preach
@Sinton it's really not that important...
@IronMan30 Important enough for you to point out.
@Sinton cool, I guess I haven't used the ignore button in a while. Thanks.
@jimtendog don’t exaggerate, it will be 2 pound max.
Depends on what is on offer but I rarely get multilayer games for switch. Unless it is a game that can be played SP that has added on multilayer.
Overcooked please!!
@theiRiS Your right.
@theiRiS the tax system in europe makes even the games on sale overpriced
I'm digging fighting games lately so I'm hoping for something like Dragon Ball FighterZ or Under Night In-Birth going on sale.
@VenomousAlbino congrats.
Besides that though, the featured sale games in the article aren't all that exciting or cheap.
Hmm, Overwatch catches a bit my interest as I'm lacking an FPS game.
Do people play it on Switch, is it easy to find matches? What about the performance?
@Lugazz if you're after FPS games in general, check out Bulletstorm, Duke Nukem, Doom series or Turoks. Unless it is solely the online competitive aspect you're after which is all Overwatch offers
It's a very big deal that ARMS is on sale, hasn't been for years I think.
Meh. 33% seems to be the best Nintendo can do with their games...
I'll pick up overwatch then if it's 50% off
Anyone know what the local multiplayer for Grid is like? Far as I can tell, it’s just you and a friend racing without AI? Hoping that’s not the case?
Damn I was hopping to find Resident Evil Revelation in the sale!
Awesome but, why they don't do the same in America?
Burnout's 30% off... almost there, I'll pick it up for $20 or less, EA.
Hate to be "That guy" but not a single title is 75% off
@Coach_A @Coach_A Borderlands will scratch that itch as well
edit: although no pvp
@colmtheperson
Unravel 2 and Dragonball Xenoverse 2 are
https://www.nintendo.co.uk/Official-UK-Store/Nintendo-eShop/Nintendo-eShop-Sale/Nintendo-eShop-Sale-1460557.html
Dragonball Fighter Z is 75% off too
@Kasma88 It’s with AI if you want and it performs pretty well. The new online update is a lot of fun too. You can join any race your friend is in if you have a buddy with a copy of the game.
I've just completed Divinity Original Sin 2 and if you like epic RPGs with great turn based fighting mechanics then get this, its brilliant and no excuse 30% off!
@colmtheperson Pikuniku is now £2.92 from £11.69 (75% off).
It just hit the us eShop. Absolutely massive, some great stuff that has never been on sale before like Motogp 20, Luigi's Mansion 3 and super mega baseball 3
@SquashyCat Nice, sounds worth picking up then! Thanks!
Europe has Yoshi while US has Luigis as main discounted titles.
I got Splatoon 2!
I can't wait for first-party titles not to exceed the dreaded 30% discount.
Yoshi seems decent for that price. I have wanted to play GoVacation since it came out as well.
I don't understand why Nintendo don't put 1-2-Switch on sale for £10-15. It's a great, fun game that needs more people to pick it up on a whim.
@citizenerased Yes. almost there! Just a bit more!
Luigi's Mansion multiplayer any good?
divinity 2 or overwatch, you will thanks me later.
Unrelated sale, but NBA 2K20 is only $4.99 now in NA (if you have the 41 GB of room to download it).
@AlexSora89 Joke's on you. It's 33%!
@mjharper Exactly and data is not for free...that's fairly sizeable...
Divinity Original Sin II.....
Interesting that they put Luigi’s Mansion on here, given that the multiplayer feature is DLC. Still, I’m not complaining haha
@MSTRDM Borderlands has PvP, you just whack your friend with a melee attack and they whack you back and a fight will start. It's limited but it's there.
@IronMan30 I just want to say I like your avatar Bill Hicks was the man
So I got Luigi’s Mansion... my first time with the series.
@KnightsTemplar right! I was able to save up $20 in points on amazon to get it for $10 and able to save up $15 in points at gamestop to get it for $15. The only real sale they ever did was for non-switch platforms at $10 for the 10th anniversary.
I see NBA 2k20 was 4.99 but it's 2 DLC packs are 99.99 and 79.99 yikes what's up with that? No thanks. When things get that spendy I ignore those titles. Hoping for a PES release but they will probably pull the same DLC money grab.
Quidco have 20% cashback on Switch software for today only so now's your best chance for savings on games never on sale. Unfortunately only 2% for pre-order games.
@ilh but then again, the 2 games I would have got are now at the same or better price elsewhere even after 20% cashback.
To bad it didn’t had Resident Evil Revelations on the List.
