Re: Guide: How To Access the Nintendo Switch eShop For Multiple Regions

90sRetroGaming

@NEStalgia Hopefully that's the case. I have two Nintendo Accounts. My main US one, and now a JP one. I have one NNID, and would prefer to not have to deal with multiple NNID's.

What's funny is, I was logged into my US My Nintendo Account, and when I clicked the My Nintendo tab in my JP Nintendo Account, it automatically created a JP My Nintendo Account.

There, it gave me 100 platinum coins, 30 sign in bonus, 30 sign in bonus (weekly), and it made me by a points jar for 50 platinum coins.

I guess that means whenever I buy games from the JP eShop on my Switch, I'll still receive gold coins to my JP My Nintendo Account. Pretty neat!

Re: Yooka-Laylee Formally Confirmed for Switch Along With Wii U Backer Options

90sRetroGaming

They should have gone the route of what Wayforward did for people who originally backed the (now cancelled) PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Shantae: Half-Genie Hero, by offering a complimentary Steam copy of the full game, free of charge, in addition to being able to switch your original pledge to a different platform of choice. A show of good faith in order to make up for both the cancellation of the original platform of choice (Wii U version), and for having to wait for the Switch version to be completed.

Re: NES Classic Mini Demand "Greater Than We Anticipated," Admits Reggie Fils-Aime

90sRetroGaming

If anything, this overwhelming demand should increase the chances of a SNES mini next year. They should strive to double the amount of games to sixty, including Super FX titles (Star Fox & Yoshi's Island), and third party titles like NBA Jam: Tournament Edition, TMNT: Turtles in Time and Tournament Fighters, and the Mortal Kombat's (at least II). Even at an increased cost for licensing, it'd be worth it at the end of the day.

Re: Short Hyrule Warriors Video Signals the End of a DLC Era

90sRetroGaming

Bought it all, all on their respective launches:

Hyrule Warriors digital ($60)
Hero of Hyrule Pack, Wii U Season Pass ($20)
Hyrule Warriors Legends digital ($40)
Legends of Hyrule Pack, 3DS + Wii U combo season pass ($20)

$140. Crazy, but worth it. Money well spent. If I could criticize the DLC, it would simply be the lack of new stages for the games from their respective packs.

Why didn't they include a new stage or two each from Majora's Mask, Twilight Princess, Wind Waker, Link's Awakening, Phantom Hourglass & Spirit Tracks, and A Link Between Worlds, in these packs? I'll never understand why.

Also, still salty about the lack of Saria, Malon, Nabooru and Kaepora Gaebora.

Re: Reminder: Pokémon Sun And Moon Demo Is Available Right Now

90sRetroGaming

Played through the demo. Pretty fun! Great music and some enjoyable characters. It looked like a DS game, though :/. Blocky looking textures, and lots of jaggies on the edges of everything. Sadly (at least for me, anyway) no 3D support except during the Poké Finder segments. Colors looked really nice and the frame rate was smooth the majority of the time, playing on my N3DS XL. The full games should be a lot of fun. Looking forward to it.

Re: Feature: Looking for Hits in the Latest StreetPass Games

90sRetroGaming

@BarryDunne I've bought each of the DLC bundles, on their respective launches. No regrets. For those wanting to know the overall price of everything separately, for all eleven games, it costs $42. If you buy all three discounted bundles, it costs $32. These prices don't include the $5 Mii Plaza Premium upgrade, as it's "technically" not a game. Paid $37 plus tax, including the Premium upgrade, and it was completely worth it! 😃

Re: Humble Friends of Nintendo Bundle Offers Games at a Huge Discount

90sRetroGaming

I own everything except for Rhythm Thief, Affordable Space Adventures and the Retro City Rampage 3DS home theme. Why do I even bother buying these games, other than hoping for them to end up in one of these bundles? 😞😟

Guess I'll be dropping $13 for the three ones I don't have, keep the 3DS codes for my nieces 3DS and maybe dump the Wii U codes somewhere in a giveaway...

Re: Mario Kart Arcade GP DX Gets A Sizeable Update

90sRetroGaming

I'm really getting fed up with these Mario Kart games being arcade exclusive. I loved the arcades back in the day as a preteen and as a teen, but I don't do arcades anymore, especially seeing as they're pretty much nonexistent in my area anyway. Port these to consoles already, so some of us can actually play them. It would be beyond easy money for Nintendo...

Re: Nintendo Download: 14th April (North America)

90sRetroGaming

Looks like Runbow (finally) with the Extra Value Bundle DLC, and the Lost Reavers Free-to-Play Beta. Boy, I'd love to have those classic SNES VC releases on my N3DS, but I'm not paying $8 each again, when they're already on my NNID-linked Wii U.

The prices should automatically show up as $0.00 on the N3DS eShop. Even a $1.50 "Upgrade" fee for previous purchases would suffice, if free was out of the question.

Re: Minecraft: Wii U Edition is Getting a Retail Release Soon

90sRetroGaming

I don't own this yet. Only Cube Creator 3D and Cube Life: Island Survival. I actually want to buy Minecraft: Wii U Edition, but I'd still want it digitally, even with a physical retail release. I'm just waiting for them to put it on sale, along with all the DLC. $15-$20 is what I've been hoping for, since it's a 3rd party IP.

Re: Reminder: North American Gamers Can Buy an amiibo and Get Mini Mario & Friends Now

90sRetroGaming

Still waiting for that Rosalina restock, Nintendo... Since only like five copies were made...

Anyway, I just bought a cheap Series 2 , six-pack of the Animal Crossing Series Amiibo cards from Best Buy for $4.79 after GCU, for in-store pick up. Just received my (Digital Add-on) download codes via email and will pick up my Amiibo cards later this week.

The Add-on's ARE listed at $4.99 each separately, so if you don't pick your Amiibo (cards) up, or try to return it, they'll likely, retroactively charge you that $9.98, lol.

Re: Nintendo Targets and Blocks Mario Kart Hack Videos From YouTube

90sRetroGaming

@Mijzelffan Never get to first? With FTW hackers, sure. With FTL hackers, not unless they're trying to stop FTW's from deliberately cheating their way to first. They usually always came in last on purpose.

I've been playing Mario Kart Wii since 2009, and have come across dozens of awsome, and super fair hackers, who had actually made the online more fun, and worth playing for hours on end.

I came in first quite a bit while racing with hackers, so I'm not sure what problems you were having there. You can think I'm deluded for feeling this way all you want, but they genuinely made the game more fun for me, and others as well. If they return, I certainly won't cry about it.
