Re: Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath Gets A Physical Kollection On Switch This June

90sRetroGaming

No way this is the last DLC. Wasn’t there a datamine not too long ago with eight, or so more character slots left, not including Kombat Pack’s 1 & 2 characters?

This makes me think there will be one, or two more $40 Kombat Pack’s down the line, and I don’t feel like buying the Aftermath Kollection, just to have to turn around and spend an additional $40 or $80 on top of that.

I want Mortal Kombat 11, but only when there’s a final, complete version for $60.

Re: UK Charts: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Returns To Top Ten With 317% Weekly Sales Boost

@hashkey Because, people, including me, are tired of racing on the same tracks, battling on the same courses, and using the same characters over and over again, after nearly six years.

There’s a TON of courses that haven’t been brought back yet, same for characters that haven’t been introduced, and have been neglected after multiple entries.

New items, new single player content, I could go on and on. Tour is doing a lot of things right that should have been done in MK8, but I don’t like the format, nor do I like the crappy gatcha/microtransaction system it has.

Re: UK Charts: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Sales Jump By 108% To Speed Into Second Place

90sRetroGaming

@westman98 Believe me, I’d rather have a brand new game over DLC for 8 Deluxe, but they’re showing no signs of a new game being in development.

Couple that with fact that this game refuses to stop selling (and incredibly well, might I add), that they may as well release more DLC for this, for the foreseeable future.

I’ve kinda given up hope at this point for a brand new game, and it’s extremely disappointing... 🙁

Re: UK Charts: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Sales Jump By 108% To Speed Into Second Place

With the way that this game keeps selling incredibly well, you would think that they’d sell another meaty expansion pass like they did on the Wii U version, or, at least some DLC every few months, or so.

Why not bring most, or at least some of the content from Mario Kart Tour over? Alternate costumes, alternate colors, reverse courses, trick courses, remix courses, alternate background settings (ala Sonic Mania’s Encore Mode), etc.

I mean, something, anything. Playing the same content in Mario Kart 8 in 2020, feels beyond stale now, especially if you’ve been playing it since 2014. Please add more content to freshen things up.

Re: Hell Yes! Doom 64's Re-Release Includes An Entirely New Chapter

90sRetroGaming

@THENAMESNORM The Doom 64 pre-order bonus previously applied to all platforms. They never stated that the offer wasn’t coming to the Switch. It’s just now that this Switch delay messed everything up.

They do need to reassure, and make clear to people that it’s still a bonus for the Switch version. They’re not really keeping people in the loop as it pertains to this specific version of the game. It’s pretty frustrating.

Re: Tetris 99 Big Block DLC Adds Two New Offline Game Modes

90sRetroGaming

I don't have a problem with the $9.99 DLC. What I do have a problem with, is the method used to unlock the Gameboy theme. I'm not the greatest at Tetris, and usually last until 65-80ish bracket.

So I have to play this back to back 50 times in order to unlock the theme? Why not include it for free with the $9.99 DLC, or at least let us outright buy it with 100 of our pre-existing gold coins in our My Nintendo accounts?

Re: Power Rangers: Battle For The Grid Arrives Next Week On Switch eShop

90sRetroGaming

@Mach_Rider I pre-ordered the digital collector’s edition yesterday afternoon. I’m going to be pissed off if I don’t get the digital art book, for pre-ordering.

That’s one of the main reasons I decided to order through the official website in the first place. Hopefully, it’s just an error, and it’ll be re-listed in the product description.

Re: Video: Mario Kart Wii Mod Doubles The Number Of Characters In Every Race

90sRetroGaming

@Silly_G I’d rather have a new installment, too, but the game is still selling like crazy (unsurprisingly), and because it continues to do so, I don’t know if a new one will happen anytime soon. I’m just getting desperate, at this point. I want new tracks and courses to race, and battle on. I’m getting extremely bored with the older content. I just want more, and have no problem paying for it.

Re: Video: Mario Kart Wii Mod Adds 24 Racers

90sRetroGaming

Can we PLEASE get an expansion pass for MK8D already? Dang. There’s so many unused SNES and GBA courses that haven’t been “retro’d” yet, it’s pitiful at this point. Getting so tired of racing on the same courses. Need more battle courses, characters, and karts, too.

Re: Reminder: Sega Mega Drive Classics Is Out On Switch Today, Here's The Launch Trailer

90sRetroGaming

@presenttense All three Ecco games, Eternal Champions, and Sonic 3 & Knuckles...AND Sonic CD as a bonus. Plus the mod support, like you said. The Steam release truly is the definitive version.

Still bought it for the Switch (digitally). 51 Genesis games for $30 is a good deal. There’s still no good reason for the two Wonderboy games to be missing from the Switch version, though. They own the IP. It irritates me that they didn’t even replace them with anything.

Re: Mighty No. 9 Developer Comcept Remains Tight-Lipped About Handheld Releases

90sRetroGaming

I backed the PS3 version, which included the PS4 & PSVita versions via crossbuy. They need to either refund those of us who got an incomplete transaction, or offer us a different game in it's place to make up for it.

I already have the game on the other platforms, so a Steam, Wii U, etc. code would be completely useless for me. I'd be happy with an improved Switch port, but I'm not holding my breath.

Re: Sonic Mania Has Sold One Million Units Worldwide, Plus Version Release Date Confirmed

90sRetroGaming

Free would have been nice, but $5 is fair. What I do wish they would done though, is make a hi-res, digital equivalent of the 32-page art book, and reversible Genesis/Mega Drive cover art, for viewing on your Switch, for those who purchase the $4.99 DLC pack.

I have a problem with this, and it bugs me that it takes a random person like me to think of good ideas, that should be obvious to the companies/developer.

Capcom digitized 250+ pages of artworks (in hi-res) from out of print artbooks, and included it with Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers, for viewing on the Switch. Why couldn't Sega do this for those buying the DLC?
