Re: Talking Point: Everyone Else Is Busy Revealing Switch 2 - What Gives, Nintendo?

I am still holding out hope that the leaks are fake, or are not revealing the whole picture. An iterative approach is fine, but that isn’t necessarily the Nintendo we know and love. I love Nintendo because of the random, the out of the box thinking, the innovation. If it just higher specs, I’ll still be buying, but I will be a bit disappointed .

Roll on the true reveal!

Re: Random: Metroid Prime 3 Dev Left Retro Studios After "Unhealthy Relationship" With Nintendo Micromanagement

For sure echo the majority of the comments, the minor details make Nintendo games… whenever a Metroid game comes out, we all stare at the shoulders, what do they look like in this game? Slightly strange comments and sounds like they needed to go work on their own stuff. Also saying that working with the low tech of the Wii also makes me question them… just because graphics aren’t top end doesn’t mean you can’t make a top game, again, Nintendo show that regularly.

Re: Poll: How Often Do You Trade-In Your Switch Games?

zander_dale

I learnt my lesson from my Gamecube, Wii, Wii U, DS and 3DS... where I sold my collection to upgrade for the next console. Criminal. Never again. Slowly I am building those collections up (for twice the price minimum). I shan't be trading any switch games in thats for sure!

Re: Poll: Pokémon Scarlet & Violet's Free Epilogue Lands On Switch Today, Will You Be Playing It?

zander_dale

Having been a die hard Pokémon fan since blue and yellow, this was the first game that I haven't completed. I didn't even make it into the crater! I have also not bought the DLC. Maybe a just feel a bit burnt out.

Despite the open world feel, it felt like a backward step compared to Arceus, and the bugs and jankyness just put me off. Fun for a bit, then just... meh.

I might pick it up eventually, but we shall see.

Hopefully the next game will pique my imagination and reenergize my love for the franchise!

N.B. This is my own experience and I totally get why people love and hate the new games.

If there are any reasons to dive into the DLC - let me know!!

Re: Soapbox: Switch Is Great, But The GBA SP Was The Pinnacle Of Public Transport Gaming

zander_dale

I have been finding this as well. I havent taken my switch on the bus to work in a while, its slightly too big, while the gba sp slips in and out of my pocket, doesnt need me to do a wide arm grip and can packed into 10 min levels. I do love it. I have gone for the 3ds recently, but it depends on what games I have on the go and when. Flights and longer trips, switch, short trips to work.. gba! Especially with a modded screen....

Re: Feature: Which Zelda Games Should You Replay Before Tears Of The Kingdom?

zander_dale

I have recently replayed Link to the past and Minish Cap. I have also finally completed Wind Waker after 20 years ( I really thought I got further as a kid). Currently working through oracle of ages, before I dive back into Skyward Sword or Link between worlds(*edit)... I also really want to replay the DS titles... Goddam I just want to play Zelda all the time. So excited for Tears of the Kingdom
