Re: Nintendo Is Considering A Successor To The 3DS According To Its New President

thehoppypoppy

The only problem I see with focusing solely on the Switch is the price point. No way can most families afford multiple Switches in their budgets. If the 3DS successor were a smaller Switch (perhaps without removable controllers, cause some kids aren't gentle. . .mine certainly aren't) and if some sort of game share set up existed, I guess it could work. But with Switch graphics, would the price of the smaller units still be low enough? Plus are families going to spring for the more expensive Switch titles, even with a game share set up?

Re: Nintendo Says 3DS Will Keep Being Sold Unless Switch Becomes A "One-Per-Person System"

I don't get it. Nintendo is still making money on the 3ds, the Switch library is still growing, those who want to upgrade to the Switch probably will (if they haven't already), those who don't want to upgrade still have something to look forward to. Can't we just be happy that everyone has something to be happy about?

My 3ds is likely my last gaming system (unless my kids get interested in a system when they're old enough, but that's probably YEARS away, before I would feel that they were old enough). I'm okay with a slow decline for the 3ds. Hoping for a couple more Atlus releases (that alone would make it worth keeping my 3ds handy), as well as at least a few other releases (though with my backlog, I could probably do fine without). It's such a great little system!

Willing to bet the Atlus games coming up alone are worth keeping your 3ds handy. Alliance Alive and another EO (that was announced, right?) at least. I'd totally dig a Link's Awakening remake! Still hoping for EO Untold 3 (I know, I'm a broken record). I'm all for 3ds support for as long as it can last.

My definition of "big sale" is obviously a little different from other people's, haha. I would call this a decent sale, at best.

At least a couple of Atlus games are being released, at least in the US (Alliance Alive, Radiant Historia Remake), soon (March?). The 3DS well isn't completely dry . . .yet. I think it's definitely winding down though. Still hoping Atlus makes EO Untold III. :-/

I guess that I need to play the demo before I decide on this one. It looks interesting, and I DO love Tomodotchi life. We'll see, but I'm more eagerly anticipating EO V and FE Warriors. I also have yet to get Ever Oasis.

Was going to get this Day 1, but money got tight (apparently bills and food are important). Thankfully I have a few games to hold me until a later date that is TBD. I'm so glad that this turned out so well! I had a feeling it would be awesome! I look forward to getting around to it one day!

I'm hopeful for at least a couple of 3DS surprises. I'm already sold on Ever Oasis, so I don't NEED to see more (although it's always nice to watch). Would like some more details on Hey! Pikmin and Fire Emblem Warriors.

I doubt we'll hear stuff about EO V and the Radiant Historia remake, and those are the only other games, that have been announced, that I'm interested in.
