Bandai Namco and Outright Games have revealed that PAW Patrol: On A Roll - a game based on the popular pre-school TV series - will be heading to Switch this October.
With 16 daring adventures featuring all eight beloved heroic rescue pups and Ryder, this game will no doubt please the little ones in your life who are glued to their screens when the show comes on - and perhaps those parents out there who can't help but like it, too!
Players can use each pup’s unique abilities to rescue their friends and keep their community safe. Favourite Adventure Bay locations are present in the game, too, including Farmer Yumi’s Farm, Jake’s Mountain, a desert canyon, under the waves, and more.
Features:
- Ryder and all eight PAW Patrol pups, including Everest & Tracker
- 16 daring adventures set in eight Adventure Bay locations
- Special pup abilities that need to be used for each rescue
- Playing as two different pups per mission
The game is being released worldwide for Switch, 3DS, and other platforms, on 26th October.
Do you know someone who might go crazy for some PAW Patrol goodness on their favourite games console?

Damn it, i would have got it if it was on the Wii U
O.o
Gosh....
5 machines at the same time.
My 5 year old is gonna be freakin' stoked...
if i was into something like this or if i knew a family member that was. i would have said "yes".
It feels almost nostalgic to see a game release effort like this, because most tie-in games are just tossed on mobile device app stores these days (usually cookie cutter of whatever gameplay style is trending atm).
If not for the fact that the demographic was aimed at pre-schoolers and this is being stretched across 5 platforms, I'd be convinced that this game might actually turn out decent.
My son is going to want this, I hope it's actually good!
I'm not familiar with the brand, but considering the pattern of children TV Shows getting game adaptions. The game most likely won't be good.
That said, as DTFaux said, it does mean something to release do this type of thing on consoles these days. Mobile Market, in comparison, is cheaper to develop for and likely has higher profit margins for this target demographic.
I'm glad to finally see a quality product aim to younger gamers (aside from Nintendo IP) Hope this brings local co-op play. Will pick it up for sure! Can't get any gameplay video from Google search.
@daveh30
Mine too, she loves Paw Patrol.
Itll be a choice between Switch and 3DS; with the Switch she has to be supervised, whereas she can play the 3DS/2DS on her own. I guess I'll see how it performs first and then decide.
@daveh30 Friggin' saaaaaaaaaaame.
I'm probably going to see this game being played by at least one friend online on Switch.
@Skunkfish
I could have typed that word for word
Hopefully the game is above average because my boys would love it.
Lot of parents on this site... who knew?
Definitely getting it for my two year old. My 6 year old might like it too. Which version we get depends on the price.
@Seacliff Every single spongebob game was a masterpiece, so I’m not sure what you’re talking about.
@DTFaux No joke. If this thing even has some decent reviews, I might consider picking it up for my four year old.
How did this game miss E3?! It would have made it all worthwhile!!!!
🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
I always humor myself to the thought of one of these games actually being literally good. Like plays like a fine-tuned game.
It won't happen, of course, but I am always amused by the idea.
You can tell what kind of game it is when it simultaneously releases on a bunch of platforms, PC and handheld.
Good for kids that like the show, though.
As many have said above, anyone with kids in the 3-7 range will want this. My kids are in this range and when I said there was a Paw Patrol game coming to a Switch they both sang the theme of it on repeat for the past 5 minutes.
@SheldonRandoms What? I totally wasn’t going to get this game, whatever are you talking about??
quickly shoves cash back into wallet
I hope it is decent.....my little one would love it
The only child I have is an inner child. So... Hmmm. I’ll wait for a discount!
I've got 3 year old that loves sitting and watching Mario if I got this she would be made up.
I am bewildered that there is a PC version of all things! That shows a great deal of confidence from Nickelodeon's end. The 3DS version is also quite surprising as there have been almost no third-party releases for the 3DS over the last year (even indies have given up on developing for it). It seems the only thing keeping the 3DS alive these days is its rich back catalogue and Nintendo's own half-hearted efforts.
Nevertheless, the fact that the Switch is getting these sorts of games is a very positive sign for the ongoing prosperity of the platform.
I am way more excited about this game than I probably should be lol. Good call releasing it on the 3DS too, since the game's intended target demographic is much more likely to have a 2DS/3DS than a Switch.
This is GOTY material right here
It's definitely meant for little kids. Even my elementary school kids weren't interested.
Oh no. . .my 5 year old will want this.
I’m actually interested in how this turns out. I remember my nephews playing Disney Universe a long time ago and had to have it for myself. Same thing with Skylanders. It could be fun to play.
@Silly_G given how it spans multiple devices, it seems they're blanketing everything- we all know the 3DS version is going to bomb, and be the lowest selling of the group- even XBox games are outselling 3DS games, so that should be indicative how things are right now for it.
With no 3DS version in sight at stores, I believe this version was cancelled.
