Very disappointing, what’s the point if everything is already announced? Think fans have a right to voice this by the way, it’s been a tough year but PlayStation and Microsoft are managing to carry on so to expect something around E3 time with new game announcements is hardly a big ask!

This game is good fun, not really played a paper mario before but i'm really enjoying it. There is no xp so far but so what? If that means less forced grinding then that's a good thing! Most RPGS get so grind heavy it spoils the game.

@SwitchVogel you are absolutely spot on, there seems to be a lot of filler third party stuff but very little from Nintendo themselves other than the odd major release.

@Bunkerneath yeah you are right, this article has revealed that there will be music in the game! totally ruined it for me, I thought it would be a silent game.

It’s a good game, i’d give it an 8 defo one of the better 3D platformers on the system. 7 is ok but to rate it any lower than that is just clearly haters wanting attention, giving it a 2 is pathetic really and whoever wrote that review should be struck off.

@Rhaoulos I think most people don't love this game don't worry! it's very average if we are being honest. i love nintendo but this just didn't hit it for me.

@backup368 you sir are a Numpty! Banjo Kazooie is amazing and was revered by most people who played it for a reason. Hell there has even been several user created levels and a level editor created by it’s community. If Microsoft had any sense they would use their Rare IP it still holds a lot of value. Nuts and Bolts was just never the right idea, it would be like Zelda’s next mainline game being a Lego building game or something.

How far in to the main game do you have to be to play this?

fortunately the 1 island actually works well for me, i game more and my wife just got into this game so me progressing it is actually better for us both to engage. but i can see why this is a nightmare for some and an absolute dick move by ninty.

This game is great don’t get the haters on here. Maybe the weekend crowd or something but it’s the kind of game I can pick up and play everyday for a few mins. Not really sure what people expected. Nintendo has gone above and beyond on this one imo.

There are a handful of really good worlds so far made by users. I agree the search mechanism needs helps as the random worlds are just pot luck if they are good. That said you can find the good ones on the internet fairly easily of course.

Give it a week or two and I bet there are a lot of great ones!

@Heavyarms55 Pokemon basically reskin the same game every year too a little hypocritical imo, esp with their mobile games doing exactly what you detest (i detest it too btw but it's not just EA that are the problem)

It's a good game, not quite great like BK but good nonetheless. The hate it gets is ridiculous and you can see why developers have moved away from the 3D platform genre. Sad for me as it is my favourite genre.

this studio is going downhill fast in terms of respectability! really liked them but this constant media hype that is fizzling into nothing is extremely disappointing.

Bought octopath traveler and am really enjoying it. The retro style with modern enhancements suits my style of gaming perfectly. Can’t wait for the sequel!

Not worth the six month direct wait but it was a mini I guess. Still would like to know what Nintendo are working on!
