Among Us is a hard one to place for me. I enjoy being a crewmate, because it feels like a mystery to solve, conversely, I dread being the imposter because I'm uncomfortable lying.
I think the only series I would buy on Switch would be Metal Gear. I also answered Tomb Raider, and while I would like to see it come to switch because I love those games, I probably wouldn't buy it because I already have the trilogy on PC and would rather play it there.
Confession: I bought BotW day 1, I have played about 5 hours of it. The game itself is great, I have no problems with it, but I've been distracted by other games, and I've also been on a going on 6 year quest to finish all of the Legend of Zelda games in approx order of release, so I know I'll get to BotW eventually anyway. The most recent game I've finished was Four Swords Adventures, my next zelda game is Twilight Princess, which I have beaten before, however it's been nearly 15 years since then, so I'm going to play through it again. The only game I'm "skipping" is Skyward Sword, since I finished it for the first time about 3 years ago, so it's pretty fresh.
I didn't play the original TCG gameboy game until a couple years ago, and it still holds up super well today! I think a new game in this style would be awesome, my only concern being that the game has changed quite a bit over the last 20 years, and I might have a hard time adapting to it
Depends on the game I'm playing, there are some genres I'm just trash at and for many of the same reasons (ie busy life) I don't want to spend the time trying the same missions over and over. Platformers often don't have difficulty settings, but it's the genre I'm best at, so I'd play on the hardest setting if available, but usually there are optional challenges throughout the game I always partake in. RPGs I'm okay at, usually play on the normal difficulty, but I'm not afraid to reduce it if I'm struggling, often times I'm playing for the story anyway. FPS or other fast paced action games I wouldn't play if it weren't for an easy mode.
Going through this list I realized that I haven't played very many new Switch games this year. Animal Crossing New Horizons and Super Mario 3D All Stars is it, I rated a few other games based on versions I've played on PC or Wii U, but I guess Animal Crossing is my personal Game of the Year on Switch
Just started playing the original Bravely Default a few weeks ago, been having fun so far though I don't get the opportunity to play often, I'll be looking forward to this one when it comes out (and after I finish the first game and maybe Bravely Second)
I still play my Wii U, I have a ton of Virtual Console games on it and many of the Wii U ports to the Switch I only own on Wii U because I couldn't justify double dipping for many of the titles, and it still has a few great exclusives. It's also the default way I play Wii games now too, since I got an HDMI adapter for my Gamecube I've had no reason to have my Wii plugged in
I feel like this was something on one of their dev team's kanban board that's been rotting there for years and some junior dev got given it as his first assignment.
You know, maybe it's an unpopular opinion, but I just don't like Naughty Dog, I have never been impressed by any of their games, despite the press attention they get, the quality of their games is on par with B tier developers imo. Insomniac, Santa Monica, and Sucker Punch are better first party studios for Sony.
I'll see if it goes on sale, I liked the original, definitely have to get better at Puyo Puyo, that was my biggest wall with the original, I'm great at Tetris, but awful at Puyo Puyo.
I think I'll get it, not super excited because I already have played Shadow Dragon on the DS, wish they would've given us a game we haven't seen any version of in the West like Mystery of the Emblem or something instead.
Unfortunate, but understandable. From Nintendo's perspective, people should just play Ultimate, and allowing this type of modding in a large public tournament has the potential to devalue their property.
Maybe after I play the first Hyrule Warriors, I have it for the Wii U, but I've heard the switch version is greatly improved, so maybe I'll pick that up
I love my Wii U, still hooked up to my TV to play it's great library of games, Wii games, and VC/eShop games. Without a doubt has/had the best eShop format of any Nintendo system, I don't know what they're doing with the Switch's eShop, what a mess, I wish they would just copy what they did on the Wii U eShop.
8/12 I've watched playthroughs of pikmin 1 and 2 and played some of pikmin 3. Not the biggest fan of the series, but I've enjoyed what I've played of it so far
Amazing game, I'm one who usually takes my time with playing through games, but I just couldn't put this one down, I bought it on release day and beat it 3 days later. I haven't quite 100% the game to this day (but I'm pretty close!), I play from time to time to get some more moons and some costumes
I guess I'm the "20%" who plays it in both docked and handheld modes. And besides, docked is way better for local multiplayer which Nintendo is the last major company to still offer a genuine delivery of.
I really like this cover, especially the US/EU one, but the JP one is good too. The cover tells you all the background story you need to understand the game.
I don't really think the character fits, Steve is barely a character to begin with, he's just an avatar for the player to interact with the world of Minecraft. I'm sure Sakurai will make sure it works, it just seems out of place to me.
I can agree with this for the most part. I would still put SA1 over Sonic Colors, but that might just be nostalgia talking, I played SA1 and SA2 a lot when I was a kid. I have played them recently, as I pop them in my GameCube once a year or so just to revisit, and while I admit they are both very deeply flawed games (even by the standards of when they first came out), I still find a lot of enjoyment out of them.
Been enjoying playing, only played 64 so far, I'm just going through each game in order I think, going to try to 100%, I just got to 104 stars today in 64, only stars I have left are the stars in tick tock clock and rainbow ride, and the red coins in Bowser in the Sky
I wish they would just fix the problem on manufacturing side and be done with it, surely it would be a more cost effective solution than to be repairing so many for free and constantly getting sued over it?
What about Sonic R? It was part of the Sonic Gems Collection on Gamecube. Love that game for how outrageous it is lol, played it on PC when I was a kid.
I actually had zero issues with the controls for 64 DS, I thought they worked surprisingly well for only having a d-pad to work with. I 100%'d 64 DS before I ever did 64.
Microsoft has been kind of a wild card for awhile now, releasing what would normally be Microsoft exclusives to other systems (especially Nintendo). I wouldn't be surprised if we still saw Bethesda games on Nintendo at least. As long as they keep releasing on PC that's all that matters to me personally, I only ever play Bethesda games on PC.
I kinda feel bad for a lot of people playing it for the first time after hearing everyone online rave about how great the game was in recent years. It's a rough game, collision and physics are weird, the camera can be pretty bad, many shines can be really frustrating. It's a good, but flawed game, it just seems like a lot of people have forgotten about its flaws over the years.
The 3DS unintentionally became the system I own the most games for besides Gamecube (which I collect) with a current 70 physical games and a handful of digital games, and still some more that I plan on getting. It just speaks to the sheer volume of quality content on the system. It's really incredible to think that the struggling successor to the DS in 2011 would become such a beloved system.
