Re: Soapbox: I Never Completed Breath Of The Wild, And I Never Will

Confession: I bought BotW day 1, I have played about 5 hours of it. The game itself is great, I have no problems with it, but I've been distracted by other games, and I've also been on a going on 6 year quest to finish all of the Legend of Zelda games in approx order of release, so I know I'll get to BotW eventually anyway. The most recent game I've finished was Four Swords Adventures, my next zelda game is Twilight Princess, which I have beaten before, however it's been nearly 15 years since then, so I'm going to play through it again. The only game I'm "skipping" is Skyward Sword, since I finished it for the first time about 3 years ago, so it's pretty fresh.

Re: Best Of 2020: There's No Shame In Playing On Easy, Even If You're A Pro

Depends on the game I'm playing, there are some genres I'm just trash at and for many of the same reasons (ie busy life) I don't want to spend the time trying the same missions over and over. Platformers often don't have difficulty settings, but it's the genre I'm best at, so I'd play on the hardest setting if available, but usually there are optional challenges throughout the game I always partake in. RPGs I'm okay at, usually play on the normal difficulty, but I'm not afraid to reduce it if I'm struggling, often times I'm playing for the story anyway. FPS or other fast paced action games I wouldn't play if it weren't for an easy mode.

Re: The Wii U's Getting A New Game Today, Just In Time For Christmas

I still play my Wii U, I have a ton of Virtual Console games on it and many of the Wii U ports to the Switch I only own on Wii U because I couldn't justify double dipping for many of the titles, and it still has a few great exclusives. It's also the default way I play Wii games now too, since I got an HDMI adapter for my Gamecube I've had no reason to have my Wii plugged in

You know, maybe it's an unpopular opinion, but I just don't like Naughty Dog, I have never been impressed by any of their games, despite the press attention they get, the quality of their games is on par with B tier developers imo. Insomniac, Santa Monica, and Sucker Punch are better first party studios for Sony.

Re: The Wii U First Launched Eight Years Ago Today

I love my Wii U, still hooked up to my TV to play it's great library of games, Wii games, and VC/eShop games. Without a doubt has/had the best eShop format of any Nintendo system, I don't know what they're doing with the Switch's eShop, what a mess, I wish they would just copy what they did on the Wii U eShop.

Re: How Well Do You Know Pikmin?

8/12 I've watched playthroughs of pikmin 1 and 2 and played some of pikmin 3. Not the biggest fan of the series, but I've enjoyed what I've played of it so far

Re: Feature: Every 3D Sonic The Hedgehog Game Ranked

I can agree with this for the most part. I would still put SA1 over Sonic Colors, but that might just be nostalgia talking, I played SA1 and SA2 a lot when I was a kid. I have played them recently, as I pop them in my GameCube once a year or so just to revisit, and while I admit they are both very deeply flawed games (even by the standards of when they first came out), I still find a lot of enjoyment out of them.

Re: Random: Switch Owners Are Discovering Just How Frustrating Super Mario Sunshine Can Be

lacaras4

I kinda feel bad for a lot of people playing it for the first time after hearing everyone online rave about how great the game was in recent years. It's a rough game, collision and physics are weird, the camera can be pretty bad, many shines can be really frustrating. It's a good, but flawed game, it just seems like a lot of people have forgotten about its flaws over the years.

Re: Nintendo 3DS Production Has Officially Come To An End

The 3DS unintentionally became the system I own the most games for besides Gamecube (which I collect) with a current 70 physical games and a handful of digital games, and still some more that I plan on getting. It just speaks to the sheer volume of quality content on the system. It's really incredible to think that the struggling successor to the DS in 2011 would become such a beloved system.
