I've only played WW HD, but I couldn't wait to be done with it. I think it's a 5/10 at best. I plan on one day giving it a second playthrough, though, to see if it has grown on me any more, but a friend is borrowing my Wii U right now to play through both HD Zeldas, so it might be a while before I get it back.
I may try this at some point. I'm not a huge fan of point & click, but there are some good ones out there. I thoroughly enjoyed Jenny LeClue - Detectivu, Thimbleweed Park, Stick It to the Man, & The Cave. Those games were hilarious. I also like Syberia (beat the first 2 games & I've been in the middle of 3 for a couple of years now) & Secret Files (beat the first one & I've been stuck in the middle of the 2nd one for well over a year). And I have the Deponia games, which I've only ever toyed around with the first one a bit to see what it was like; one day I'll give those games a proper playthrough.
This was a 10/10 game for me on Wii U. Unfortunately, don't have the money to splurge on this right now. Absolutely love this game. Never got tired of combat or exploration. Can't wait to get it on Switch.
Well, to be honest, I didn't think RE1, 2, 3, or Code Veronica X were scary either, back in the day. Not even the infamous dog scene in RE1 (my sister felt otherwise). Never played any other RE game, though.
One thing EO3 does better than the first 2 games is getting rid of dolphin training & petting/feeding the marine life to learn more about them. Dolphin training was ok for the first couple of animals, but trying to train them all got boring & too repetitive really fast (although I still pushed through & trained every one). And feeding/petting fish was too time consuming & not too fun, either. So I like that with EO3, there's not 2 or 3 tiers of info locked behind animal interactions, but you learn everything by simply scanning them.
I loved BOTW but just cannot get into TotK. I'm stuck at the wind temple. And I despise the ultra hand; it makes the game a chore & takes the fun out of it for me (I'm not that big into crafting in games).
I'm still excited for this game, despite the review. The first two games in the series were really enjoyable, especially EO2 (although I felt the abyss in EO1 was much better (and bigger) than the abyss in EO2), despite their flaws.
I tried Abzu twice and just could not get into it. But one day, I'll give it another shot. And I played Subnautica for an hour or two, and it was just too tedious. But I'll attempt it again, too, some day.
I just recently downloaded TOTK, and I think so far it's a bit underwhelming. I'm still on the great sky island (or whatever it's called) & have the 1st 3 abilities/upgrades, but I think ultrahand is too much of a chore (& also fuse, though to a lesser extent) & hope the game gets better. But as of now, I think one BOTW was enough.
I skipped 1-2 Switch, & I'll be doing the same with this one. Absolutely zero interest. I'm honestly surprised they made a sequel, because I didn't think the first one sold well enough — wasn't it only like 250,000 or 300,000 copies?
I have Pikmin 3 & Pikmin 1 on Wii U, but just couldn't get into either one. I played through several game days on Pikmin 3, but not too much on the first one. I didn't like using the wiimote & then having to look at the GamePad for the map. It just felt like too much of a chore to me.
Arkham City on Wii U was the first time I ever played an Arkham game, & it's one of my favorite games ever. Then downloaded Arkham Origins &, despite it's many bugs, is also a really, really fun game (I like it just as much as Arkham City). And while not as good, I also really enjoyed Arkham Origins: Blackgate HD on Wii U, as well. So I'm ecstatic about the trilogy coming to Switch, as I've never owned any form of Xbox, & the last Playstation I've owned was a PS2. I'm super excited to be able to play Arkham Asylum & Arkham Knight now. I just wish Arkham Origins (& Origins: Blackgate) would come to Switch.
Europe/Japan for me (first time I've ever seen it). I rate this game 4/10. It was quite average & it got very boring after a little while. I forced myself to trudge through it to the end, though. I felt the same about Wind Waker HD on Wii U (only version I've ever played), although WW was a little more fun than PH. I'm willing to give WW another playthrough, though, to see if maybe my view of it will change. I just don't know if I'll ever get around to playing it again. The next Zelda I plan on playing is TOTK, but that may be quite a ways from now since I'm broke.
I remember reading & re-reading everything I could about Final Fantasy in Nintendo Power, & I was extremely excited to get the game. It still is one of my favorite NES games. I'm not sure how many times I've replayed & beaten it, but it was a whole lot of times. The last time I played it was on Wii VC, & it seemed so short in length compared to when I played it on NES. I love the original Final Fantasy.
@Piyo I like Xeodrifter. I played & beat it on both Wii U & Switch. I'm not too into Mutant Mudds, though (even though I still bought the collection on Switch).
Oxenfree 2, Teslagrad Remastered, Teslagrad 2, Shadows Over Loathing, & Animal Well are all going on the wish list. I loved Teslagrad on Wii U (have it on Switch but haven't played it yet). And I've played through Oxenfree multiple times (such a great game). Although I haven't finished West of Loathing, I've put several hours into it, & it is hilarious. Animal Well has a nice art style & looks fun, so it has piqued my interest.
I first played this game on Switch (& I love it), have put over 1000 hours into it, & still haven't beaten it. I probably started over 3 or 4 times just because I wanted to do things differently, but eventually I moved on to other games. I tried to get into it again a few months ago, but I ended up tackling some of my backlog, instead.
I got pretty far in this game, then kept losing at one of the boss battles (or mini boss? Don't really remember if there are mini bosses). I recall the combat started to get a little too repetitive. Or was it too frequent? Not sure. It's been quite some time since I played it last. At any rate, I think I started to get a little bored of it, but this may be the incentive I need to continue once I finish The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics.
@abbyhitter Me, too! I watched a video of the full battle with the final boss and gave up after a few tries. I'll get back to trying to beat it some day, but I'm not in any hurry.
I've always found Treehouse presentations boring & way too long. After seeing portions of the first few presentations that they've done, I quit watching them altogether.
I first played Earthbound on Wii U VC. It has some charm & is quite funny, but it got boring after playing it for a few days. I eventually moved on to other games.
I was so excited for Chrono Cross & bought it when it first released but, other than the graphics & music, was disappointed with it. I ended up trading it in a couple of weeks later. I just couldn't get into it. I'm willing to give it another try, though.
I'll pick it up at some point. I love me some plane games on Switch, even though I haven't finished a single one. In fact, most are still in my backlog.
In my high-school/community college years, I owned the SNES version of Aladdin. I would get so mad at it when I kept dying repeatedly. Eventually, though, with enough perseverance I finally got really good at it & would breeze through it every time I played it.
I haven't played either of the two NES Metal Gear games since I had an NES back in middle school/high school. I sure wish they'd make their way back to a Nintendo console some day.
I took a break from BG2: Throne of Bhaal & Pillars of Eternity to play through both Axiom Verge 2 & Ori & the Will of the Wisps (which I finished a couple of days ago). Now I'm working through Jenny LeClue Detectivù.
My twin brother & I got an NES for Christmas 1987 when I was 12. Along with SMB/Duck Hunt, we also got Wizards & Warriors. Took us all day to realize how to progress past the first level (i.e. go up, instead of left/right). Seems like we got one other game that day, too, but I can't remember.
I'm not that into first person perspective games (with the notable exception of the Metroid Prime series). I prefer playing Skyrim in the 3rd person perspective.

@RiasGremory I very much agree with you. TP is my favorite pre-BotW Zelda.

Re: Legacy Of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered Announced For Switch
I never could complete the first one because of a game-breaking bug. Never played the 2nd one

Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Endless Ocean: Luminous
I'm excited for this game, even if it doesn't look/sound as good as the first two games.
On another note, I wish Treasures of the Deep would get a re-release or remaster. I had a lot of fun with that one on PS1.

@jojobar That's because Nintendo's getting ready to ditch the Switch.

Re: Inti Creates Announces New 2D Action Side-Scroller 'Umbraclaw' For Switch
Not a fan of the art style. It reminds me of stained glass, which I don't like the look of in video games.

I ran into that issue on the Wii U (I don't buy physical), but it only allowed a few hundred (not sure of the exact number).
