Re: Nintendo Download: 20th September (North America)

Already got FFXV a day after it launched. I've also had Valkyria Chronicles 4 pre-purchased & downloaded for over a month now. And I already have Torna since I purchased the expansion pass for XC2 when it released. I've had XC2 downloaded since launch day and still have not played it, yet. Debris Infinity looks interesting, too. I've added it to the wish list.

Re: Video: Civilization VI Gets Its First Nintendo Switch Trailer

@SimplyCinnamon53 Mine does the same, as well as for World of Goo, Little Inferno, & any other game I have that uses motion controls. My TV remote does the same thing. I haven't really cared too much for motion controls since the Wii Motion Plus. I'm constantly having to recalibrate. I never could understand why people raved about the precise motion controls for Skyward Sword. I don't consider motion controls to be precise if every few seconds you have to recalibrate them.

Re: Review: Lumines Remastered (Switch eShop)

I've never played Luminous, & the trailer makes it look boring. However, I'm a little intrigued based on all the positive reviews & comments I've read. But I never really cared for Tetris & I thought Puyo Puyo Tetris was boring, to say the least, so I don't know if I should take a chance on this one, or not.

Re: Review: Hollow Knight (Switch eShop)

I've played it for about 3 - 4 hours now, & it just isn't gripping me like I thought it would. I'll keep playing, though, & hopefully it'll grow on me. I admittedly haven't gotten very far, yet (I have only one special ability, next to healing).

Re: Review: Nihilumbra (Switch eShop)

I liked this game on Wii U & be at the "basic" levels which, as the review mentions, were not too difficult. I got 2 or 3 levels into void mode, & yes, that's where the difficulty really amps up, but I never got back around to playing the game after that.

I did download it on Switch, however, because I would like all (well most, anyways) of my Wii U games on Switch simply for the added convenience of handheld mode (even though I usually play it docked).

Re: Review: Asdivine Hearts (Switch eShop)

I have this on Wii U & enjoyed it, although I never managed to defeat the final boss. I bought it again on Switch because I want as many Wii U games that I downloaded to be on my Switch, so that they are truly portable (in addition to several of them being improved over their Wii U versions). Now, if only Child of Light, SC: Blacklist, & the Arkham games would come to Switch....

Re: Flyhigh Works Celebrates Kamiko Sales Success With Fairune Collection Announcement

I bought Kamiko after reading Nintendo Life's review (I believe it scored 9/10). And I must say that I am thoroughly unimpressed. Its pixel art is pretty, but it's just not my kind of game. I am still working through my first playthrough (although I haven't played it in months) with the sword fighter (blue haired girl). I just find it kind of dull & mediocre at best. I would probably rate it a 4/10 or 5/10.

Re: Kirby Star Allies Has a Demo Live on the eShop Now

kevin74

I tried giving Kirby a chance on Wii U with many of the virtual console releases downloaded, but I just can't get into the franchise, & frankly, other than the cuteness of it all, don't really understand the appeal. Nevertheless, I have Star Allies on my wishlist, because I liked the look & sound of it from the trailers. But I'm glad I tried out the demo first, because the game, while cute & nice to look at, was a little on the boring side. And I, too, felt like the friend characters kind of do everything. Also, after "easy" mode being way too easy, I tried the "hard" mode. And I finished the "hard" mode demo wondering exactly how it was any harder than "easy" mode, because they seemed identical to me, in terms of difficulty.

While I still may one day eventually download Kirby: Star Allies, I will definitely wait a couple of years or so, when it goes to the Nintendo Selects range.
