@Blizzia Anybody can acuse someone of anything, but when lots of people acuse someone of similar behavior over a decades long timespan, you kinda have to take it seriously. Especially in the entertainment industry where PR is everything.

Also, Ellis ain't going to jail here, he's losing a job. Government needs hard evidence, but a private company can fire you for just about any reason.

And really, I don't think Warren's career is over. He should lay low for a bit, make some appologies, maybe get a "real" job for a few years, but I think he would be welcomed back by at least parts of the industry after a while.

The thing I find most surprising here is that Splatoon has outsold Vice City.

I'm definitely in that late 30's with kids camp where I get maybe an hour a night to game. And that's assuming I don't fall asleep while playing. Considering how many half finished games are in my backlog, I may take you up on this advice.

Has a nice form factor. I like how it manages to be sleek and modern, but with clear retro inspiration. They did a really good job designing this thing's shell casing.

If only they'd put half as much thought into any other aspect of it.

@Euler Oh, I agree. Actors and sports stars should be paid in sand considering how many would line up to take their place. By all means, lump them in with the overpaid CEOs. And while you're at it, ban public funds being put into building stadiums.

This is going to look so good in HD. Just fantastic art direction.

I am not getting my hopes up, but:
-There was that rumor about a big Nintendo game with "tyers".
-It seems weird they would bring back the original Captain Falcon actor just to record a few grunts and slurps for the Min Min Smash trailer.

@GrailUK All I can say is, back in 2007 or so when I worked at a childcare center, most of the kids that like Pokemon and Yu-gi-oh were also into this.

@graysoncharles Rise could work, it had a port to 360. But yeah, Shadow is probably asking too much of the Switch.

@pinta_vodki Agree with everything you just said. I had no idea until recently so many people hated The Fly. Or Skyler for that matter.

@withad. Got to agree. Most of the OT character faliures were established in TFA. The "surprises" in TLJ all make sense if you are really paying attention. I'd go so far as to say Ryan put more thought into reading TFA script, than JJ did writing it.

@RustedHero I think the problem is they got it near perfect with Reflex, and weren't really sure what to do next.

@LunarFlame17 Have to agree. While Act Raiser 2 was better than the action sections of the first game, it was still too basic to hold up on it's own. The first game being and okay action game mixed with an okay god sim, came together in a "the whole is greater than the sum of it's parts" sort of way.

@EmirParkreiner I agree here. As much as I want more F-Zero, I don't think anyone could make a game as good as Amusement Vision. GX and the first two Super Monkey Balls had a level of polish I have not seen anyone else achieve since.

It's not gonna be Dr. Coyle. My money is on Min Min, or multiple skins that leaves out Twintelle, Mechanica, Master Mummy, Helix... and Dr. Coyle.

I remember getting a Dreamcast and deciding between this and Soul Reaver. Went with Soul Reaver, which I do not regret. Always figured I'd play Shadowman eventually, but never got around to it. If this port turns out well, maybe now is the time.

@NoNoseNosferatu You don't have to care. I'm just saying it helps a charity get more money. That's why they do these kinds of things so often.

@NoNoseNosferatu It's kind of like micro-transactions. Lots of people paying a little, often ads up to more money than one person paying a lot.

Let's not forget Astral Chain and Daemon X Machina were announced around May, and released in August/September last year. There may be some good things coming soon.

@FargusPelagius EU did have some great characters, but if we're being honest, is Dash Rendar really one of them?

I was not expecting Astral Chain to pass 1 million. A surprise, to be sure. But a welcome one.

Prime 4 is not happening this year. Unless they made it a 2D side-scroller.

@DarkLloyd Yeah, Tony Hawk HD wasn't great, but if they gave it the same treatment as the Crash and Spyro remakes, I could see that being pretty rad.

@the_beaver I'm keeping my fingers crossed they start a "selects" line around the launch of PS5 and Series X. It would make a lot of sense, but you never know with Nintendo.

Does anyone remember this got a sequel on PS2, Star Wars Racer: Revenge? Was also pretty good, and you could use the dual analog sticks to control each engine individually. Worked a little better than holding two N64 controllers

Finally. It would be smart to discount ARMS when this releases. Bring this gem back to life.

All the usual neo-geo recomendations are great and have been mentioned here, so I just want to mention a couple black sheep that I find more enjoyable than people give them credit for.

Samurai Shodown 3 is a bit less polished than the rest of the series, but has some mechanics unique to the entry that speed up the gameplay and make matches more dynamic. If you can appreciate it for what it is instead of getting hung up on what it should be, there is a lot of fun to be had.

King of Fighters 2001. They even list this one separate from the others by dropping the "The". KoF 99-2001 have you pick a striker character which perform assists kinda like in Marvel vs Capcom games. 2001 takes this further, allowing up to 3 assist characters at the expense of having fewer actual fighters on your team. Meaning, instead of being locked in the usual 3 on 3 matches, you can have one fighter with 3 strikers. I won't argue it's the best game in the series, but certainly the most inique. Worth checking out if you already own 3 or 4 other entries, and want to try one that spices things up a bit.

I would enter this if I was better at the game.

@SupaWaluigi I say 4 is better, but it's kind of a matter of taste more than quality of the games. If Saint's Row 1 and 2 are like an over the top parody of GTA, SR3 is like an over the top parody of SR 1&2, and then SR4 is a sci-fi-superhero game with crass gangsters.

@infernogott I think they will get the rights back, or work out a deal with the current licensee to do the remakes. Activision has the money for either.

After the success of the Crash and Spyro remakes, Activision said they were looking to other franchises to give the same treatment. Given that and the recent rumors, I'm pretty convinced this is going to happen with THPS. I predict this year they will release 1&2, followed by 3&4 in 2021, and the undergrounds in 2022. It just makes too much sense.

Hope it turns out well. I miss the arcade extreme sports craze of the early 00's.

Totally fair. A true sequel with 16 bit style graphics would be cool, but whenever you are ready.

@JayJ Totally agree. ARMS is one of those unique, goofy concept type of games that made me love the Dreamcast back in the day.

@nab1 I still own them too, but yeah, these would look fantastic in HD.

The only thing I've played is Street Challenge on Wii VC, and it's pretty awesome. After this glowing review, I can think of no reason to skip this compilation.

It's weird how excited I get when anyone simply acknowledges that Bushido Blade exists. Such a forgotten gem.

Considering Doom 3 is $10, this is the price I was expecting. Kudos to Bethesda and Id for not being dicks. We don't see that a lot on the Switch.

I would love to see Platinum make a racing game. I hope one of thse four things is a new racing IP. Or Excite Truck.

More people need to play Devil Summoner 2.

I don't have a problem with this. More people playing Bayonetta is a good thing. It might even be in Nintendo's best interest. If they cut Platinum some slack here, they will continue to see Nintendo as a safe and reasonable partner for futer games. If not, Platinum may think twice about future partnerships now that they are trying to have more control over their IPs. Industry is changing. Microsoft games are on Switch, Sony games are on PC, even Nintendo has games on mobile.

They expressesd a desire to make a battle royal game a while back, and Anarchy Reigns would translate into one perfectly. I think this will happen.
