I recently found my Neo Geo pocket in an unpacked box from my last move. Great system, but I never got many games for it. Hopefully Switch can remedy my past mistakes.

@BionicDodo I think Video files take up a lotnmore space than in-engine cutsceens. While this didn't come out on cart in the end, they probably developed it assuming that it would.

@Kidfunkadelic83 Blazblue: Cross Tag Battle is much less complex than mainline Blazblue or Guilty Gear games. As long as you can do quarter-circle punch, you'll be fine. Only $5 right now too.

@JasmineDragon Check out Tron Uprising if you get the chance. Kinda like Clone Wars in that, while a cartoon for kids, it has some of the best storytelling of the franchise. Plus, Bruce Boxleitner voices Tron, and he's a main character. Not just a cameo.

@Shiryu Boggles my mind that Battle Grids is the only game with split-screen light cycle racing and arena battles.

I wasn't planning to double dip this game. But now I might.

Does this game also have a stacked brunette in a tank top, boots, and booty shorts with weapon holsters on her thighs? Oh, and an armband. Cause that would also be really original.

@MindfulGamer Have to agree here. Most rpgs would benefit cutting the size and scope, but KoA sticks out. Lots of areas, especially dungeons look copied from previous parts of the game. And I swear about 7 people voiced every character.

I like it despite this, but it would have been better if they aimed for 40 hours instead of 100.

The remaster did not run well when it first came out, so wait for reviews with this one.

That said, if it is well optimized this is an easy recommend. Not so much an rpg as an action game stuffed into an RPG world. Best combat in the whole genre.

Yeah, I wouldn't believe this because of articles from those sites, but I still think it might be true. Black Panther and Captain Marvel are the only solo (as in non-Avengers) MCU movies to take in over a billion dollars at the box office. Disney will always follow the money in the end.

I too began purchasing Codemasters product upon hearing this news, knowing future discounts would be less generous, and future games would be less good.

Also, I predict their studio made from former Evolution employees will be the first one shut down (Motorstorm, OnRush, Dirt 5 dev). Might even happen as part of the merger.

@Kidfunkadelic83 In Nintendo's defense, lots of (morons) people keep buying those Mario/Zelda spinoffs in huge numbers. 1080, Waverace, F-Zero, Excite Bots have vocal fanbases, but there really aren't that many of us. Even Metroid was never huge by Nintendo standards. Boggles my mind, but it's true.

@Munchlax PS4 struggled to run Automata. Getting it on Switch is probably not in the cards. Replicant was a PS3 game so it could feasibly happen.

Awesome. Another Bushido Blade type Kickstarter failed a while back, so I thought this was a lost cause. Glad they have the money, now they just need to make a game. That's the easy part, right?

@Maulbert These games were a lot of fun, but yeah. Having the two greediest publishers simultaneously milk the genre guarenteed it would burn out fast.

I admit that I don't follow this guy that closely, but has Patcher ever been right about anything?

@HobbitGamer Do you have to use the toys every time you play, or do they give permanent unlocks?

@TimboSlice I actually like the idea of a Ring Fit character, but that game is probably too recent. Maybe as the 6th one sometime next year.

I've been interseted in this since Classic Game Room did a review years ago. Nice to see there is now a legal avenue to check it out.

@sketchturner I think the Adventure games are fondly remembered because people kinda forget the non-Sonic levels. Once you beat the game, you never have to go back. Over time, memory fades of the slog it was to play as Knuckles, Eggman, or (uuuugh) Big the Cat.

Sure, the Sonic/Shadow levels are shallow, but it's a fun shallow.

This is like that guy who trademarked the word "Edge" back in the 90's. It's the reason Soul Edge was called Soul Blade in the US, and why they misspelled "Calibur" in the sequels. Then he tried to sue EA over Mirror's Edge and they ate him for lunch.

Every once in a while EA does a good thing.

Hope this turns out well. Looks cool, and I'm always down for a good arcade extreme sports game. And to say roller derby is underrepresented in gaming would be quite the understatement. Even wakeboarding has more options.

Judging by the trailer, the switch could totally handle it.

Xbox sales in Japan are like rounding errors to the other systems. I mean, come on. I know MS is a western company, but it's not that bad of a console.

@Ratking No. 30 fps on Switch. It's available on PC if you want 60 though.

@AG_Awesome Prime 4 was originally going to be made by the development team that had been worki g on Star Wars 1313, before Disney bought Lucasfilm. It was an interesting choice and I had high hopes for the game. Was disappointed things didn't work out.

@Yanina Agreed. Ninja Gaiden is cool, but I'd love to get DoA on Switch (No, Extreme does not count). A port of 6 would be nice, but best case would be an exclusive Switch entry Like DoA Dimensions 2 or something.

@FullMetalWesker Generally, if you tell people ahead of time before removing a product, sales go up. Many who were on the fence would decide to purchase knowing it was their last chance. I just did this with the PC version of Forza Horizon 3.

Glad it's back. Taking a game down with no warning is just a move, and a self-sabotaging one at that.

I own all these so far, but will definitely pick up some NGPC games I missed out on once they are rereleased. Looking out for Metal Slug: Second Runner, Biomotor: Unitron, Beast Busters, and especially SNK vs Capcom.

Was surpried when it wasn't announced for Switch in the first place.

@Blizzia Anybody can acuse someone of anything, but when lots of people acuse someone of similar behavior over a decades long timespan, you kinda have to take it seriously. Especially in the entertainment industry where PR is everything.

Also, Ellis ain't going to jail here, he's losing a job. Government needs hard evidence, but a private company can fire you for just about any reason.

And really, I don't think Warren's career is over. He should lay low for a bit, make some appologies, maybe get a "real" job for a few years, but I think he would be welcomed back by at least parts of the industry after a while.

The thing I find most surprising here is that Splatoon has outsold Vice City.

I'm definitely in that late 30's with kids camp where I get maybe an hour a night to game. And that's assuming I don't fall asleep while playing. Considering how many half finished games are in my backlog, I may take you up on this advice.
