My 3DS is still my go to system for when I travel. The Switch just takes up too much space when traveling and I'm getting a ton of enjoyment clearing out my 3DS back catalog. I imagine I will be playing and buying games for it for quite some time.

Maybe. I want to see how the Switch version holds up or if I just play it on my Mac instead.

In the end though, I imagine I'll just hold out for Diablo III.

@Sakura Agreed. Nintendo needs a lot more 3rd party support and simply aren't getting it.

Ubisoft is only releasing one substantial game a year and Nintendo is probably paying EA to release their half baked FIFA on switch.

The rumored development issues with Retro (arguably one of their biggest developers) certainly doesn't help.

Basically ZERO significant third party support. Nintendo doesn't have a great track record when they go it alone.

I'm sure Yoshi and FE were delayed simply so Nintendo could spread out releases.

That's what happens when you give a new studio the reigns. Should have given this to Retro and have them do what they do best.

With that said I wouldn't expect anything for a good while. If Nintendo is going to maintain their focus of a single game at each E3 it's hard to see Metroid sharing the spotlight with Pokemon next year.

This is just Nintendo spacing out their releases so they don't have an empty month at the start of next year

Going to likely have to wait all the way until TGS until we hear any more information on Nintendo's big AAA games.

Mario Tennis on the N64 is an all time classic.

PES is far superior to FIFA for my taste. Crossing my fingers it comes to the switch. Given EA's lackluster support on the switch.

This sounds... cheap. It's a lot easier for them to slightly modify the Koopa model etc vs using more distinct characters

@NinChocolate Fair point. Nintendo just doesn't typically dumb the difficulty down to appeal only to that demographic - outside of Kirby. Which is why I've never found much enjoyment in Kirby games

@chrislisting You can't look at it as a fan. No way they would include a classic mode. You're asking for two games in one. Which economically doesn't make sense. The cost to produce two games in one and charge a normal price wouldn't result in a profit - something Nintendo won't do.

And honestly, Star Fox games have been horrible for a long time. Diddy Kong Boss battles honestly weren't far off from an on rails shooter experience you would get in a Star Fox game. I wouldn't be surprised if this was the best Star Fox game period when it comes out - hybrid or not. (Just remember what people said about Metroid when Retro made it a 3D FPS)

Diddy Kong Racing was easily one of the best N64 games. FZero GX was easily one of the best gamecube games. Would love to see another super polished Nintendo racer with boss/battle elements at the speed of FZero.

Great - will definitely buy. I still vastly prefer the 3DS as a portable gaming system over the switch.
