Don’t Starve: Nintendo Switch Edition

Thursday is here once again and the Nintendo eShops have been freshly updated with all manner of new goodies. From new indie darlings to slices of retro greatness from yesteryear, the Switch eShops have just got even more tempting. Don’t Starve: Nintendo Switch Edition (Klei Entertainment, $19.99) - In Don't Starve: Nintendo Switch Edition, You play as Wilson, an intrepid Gentleman Scientist who has been trapped by a demon and transported to a mysterious wilderness world. Enter a bizarre and unexplored world full of strange creatures, dangers, and surprises. Learn to exploit the environment and its inhabitants to escape and find your way back home.

Shelter Generations (Circle Ent, $19.99) - In Shelter Generations you embark upon unique journeys in the wild that present varied challenges and familial love – it’s a memorable experience wherever you play.

#Breakforcist Battle (Lucid Sheep Games, $9.99) - Are you hungry!? Introducing an all new version of the cult favorite breakfast/exorcism-themed waffle-busting game, #Breakforcist Battle! Use your magic paddle & ball to rescue breakfast with classic brick-breaking gameplay. Work together with a friend in cooperative play or challenge your friends in an all new competitive battle mode!

ACA NEOGEO Gururin (HAMSTER, $7.99) - "Gururin" is an action-puzzle game released in 1994 by FACE. Enjoy a puzzle game the likes of which you've never seen before while rotating the Magic Troupe "Gururin!" Comes with One Player Mode, Challenge Mode (VS CPU), and Two Player Mode.

Asdivine Hearts (KEMCO, $12.99) - Asdivine Hearts boasts of groundbreaking visual quality, plenty of subquests, a battle arena, treasure to dig for, and an enemy guide to complete. By taking puzzle piece-like jewels and setting them in a box known as a rubix, players are able to customize characters. With a strong focus on cats, this RPG game looks like one which our resident reviewer Morgan Sleeper was born to play!

Burly Men at Sea (Plug In Digital, $9.99) - Burly Men at Sea is a folktale about a trio of large, bearded fishermen who step away from the ordinary to seek adventure. Set in the waters of early 20th-century Scandinavia, the game's story branches through a series of encounters with creatures from folklore. You play as storyteller and wayfinder, shaping the narrative around three ungainly heroes. Play through once for a single tale, then set sail again to uncover paths to new adventures.

Drone Fight (SilverStar, $4.99) - Pilot a radio-controlled multicopter in this 3D air race game. Fly freely over grassland, into tunnels, over canyons and more while completing in an air race over a variety of scenery using items and techniques.

Eternal Edge (Righteous Weasel, $20.00) - Eternal Edge is an Action Adventure role-playing game following the young hero Cross on a quest to defeat the Skeleton King, Lord of the Dead. Gear up with powerful weapons, epic armor, and hidden spells to journey across the vast lands of the Little Kingdom and free its inhabitants from a long reign of evil.

It's Spring Again (Sometimes You, $1.79) - This game intended to develop associational and logical thinking. By following the hints, children help the seasons change. They learn the order of the seasons and create a melody for each of them with a little help from their parents and the narrator. – Available April 17

Pirates: All Aboard! (QubicGames, $5.99) - Pirates: All Aboard! is a competitive battle game for solo and multiplayer pick 'n play fun. – Available April 13

Regalia: Of Men and Monarchs - Royal Edition (Crunching Koalas, $24.99) - Regalia: Of Men and Monarchs is a tactical RPG about the restoration of a fallen kingdom to its former glory. Embark on an adventure that will remind you of your best jRPG experiences - assemble a party of valiant individuals, manage your realms, forge alliances, and vanquish your foes in challenging turn-based combat.

Rogue Aces (Curve Digital, $12.99) - It's time to join the Rogue Aces and liberate the islands from The Baron and his dreaded pilots. Will you be able to face the fiercest of foes with only one life and three planes?

Skies of Fury DX (IlluminationGames, $19.99) - Take to the skies and experience WWI as a fighter pilot! Skies of Fury DX offers players the chance to engage in epic, aerial combat in historic Bloody April, 1917, as both British and German pilots. Check out our Skies of Fury DX review.

Streets of Red - Devil's Dare Deluxe (Secret Base, $8.99) - In Streets of Red - Devil's Dare Deluxe, the only thing scarier than being eaten alive is running out of quarters! A permadeath multiplayer horror beat'em up that bestows players with the skills of retro gaming heroes in a fight against a legion of undead monstrosities.

Word Search by POWGI (Lightwood Games, $7.99) - Word Search by POWGI includes more than 300 puzzles to keep you - and your friends - puzzling for hours!

Zotrix: Solar Division (Ocean Media, $14.99) - Every space station in the network is in danger and Solar Division command needs your help to setup proper strategy for the defense. This, primarily strategy game, blends game mechanics between tower defense and real time strategy with hybrid elements such as patrolling ships, navigation towers. You are trusted this important task before whole network is taken to the edge of the unknown.

  • Fire Emblem Heroes Update – Version 2.4.0 of the Fire Emblem Heroes game released on April 10. Here are the highlights:
    - Stamina Zero!: You will no longer need to use any stamina to play Grand Hero Battles, Bound Hero Battles and Legendary Hero Battles
    - Seven Grand Heroes Added to Rotation: Another seven Grand Heroes, including Camus, have been added to the daily Grand Hero Battle Revival rotation. Along with these battles, GHB Elite 2 quests will also commerce. These quests will be available for a full year
    - New Event: The first round of Grand Conquests will begin at 4 a.m. PT on April 13. Starting at 12 a.m. PT on April 11, tap Events and then Grand Conquest, and you can pre-register for the event before it begins. Also, to celebrate this new event, everyone will receive 20 Orbs
    - Special Orb Promo: Now until 11:59 p.m. on April 25, you will be able to purchase the Special Orb Promo: April Edition. Along with 21 Orbs, 6,000 Hero Feathers will be included as a bonus
