Not super happy for paying a fee for something that used to be free and is subpar to the competition. I know the price is low, but still.. And I care not for NES games.
There was no shortage of retro inspired games in recent times and many of them proved to be masterpieces. The Switch played a major part to this trend and I couldn't be happier!
I wanted this game from the moment it was released on Steam but held off buying it cause I knew it would come to Switch eventually. I mean, it is perfect there, it would be madness not to!
Anyone saying 60fps doesn't matter in a twitch game like this,is clueless. That being said, the game is totally playable and enjoyable, but the framerate rate drops are noticeable and annoying. I think the devs made the right choice to release the game now though, since it is not in a terrible form, as long as they stay committed to fixing it.
This is gonna have to wait. With Octopath, Megaman X, Dead Cells, Pocket Rumble, Lumines, Bomb Chicken, Hollow Knight, Sonic DLC bought recently, the day had to be in Martian hours to able to keep up!
@roadrunner343 Agreed, though the nature and visual style of this game is better suited to the Switch imo. I wish it could be played without compromises and I really think that with some effort put to it, there would be no reason for not being a flawless 60.
Actually, CD Media is the same distributor as in Greece. Previous distributor, Nortec - for both Greece and Turkey as well, was in dispute with Nintendo and they dropped distribution rights, before CD Media stepped in.
As for the prices, I am not sure why that is. In Greece, Switch unit and game prices are more or less the same as with the rest of Europe.
There is no way I am going to pick them all up at once. Outside of the cost, they are time investing games and they deserve my attention. I am thinking Dead Cells and Okami first and this and Iconoclasts later.
I like Epic, the way I used to like Valve, when they were actually developing games. Their contribution to gaming, with Unreal, Unreal Tournament,Gears of War, Unreal Engine and their stance against Microsoft when they tried to create a close guarded environment for PC games development, has won my respect.
I wanted this game ever since it was first shown in the Switch 's presentation. It looked and felt special, demos added some credit to it and I am so happy it really is!
@sportvater Leaving it for later. I am platformed out at the moment, with Shovel Knight, Donkey Kong, Hollow Knight and others, plus I purchased too many games and want Octopath Traveler day one.
I am having trouble keeping up with all the games and I already decided to skip Wolfenstein 2, YS 8 and Crash for the time being. I love puzzle games, I adored this on PSP and could not pass!
The portability of the system is a big selling factor and it's been proven with ports such as Doom and Skyrim that the audience will even double dip on games cause of that. Also, it may not be as powerful as the others but with certain sacrifices, ports of demanding games are possible. Software sales are very healthy on the system, it is owned from adult gamers as well as younger ones and those people spend money. Games like AC, Splinter Cell and Far Cry would sell, I am sure!
Didn't touch it on PC waiting for its Switch release. I avoided spoiling it with YouTube videos and such and played not knowing what the game is all about. It was a gaming revelation, similar to my first time I played Dark Souls!
I loved the demo so much, that I'm willing to excuse its price tag. I can totally understand those who won't though, it definitely should have been cheaper to warrant good sales.
Sonic and all Stars Racing Transformed was amazing, but the lack of 60fps and limited draw distance on WiiU made it less enjoyable. Let's hope a potentially Switch port fares better on that department.

Re: Mega Man 11 Switch Release Will Include amiibo Support
It would be great if they restock the amiibo, the prices for it are insane.
Re: Nintendo Partners With Asmodee Digital To Bring Best-Selling Tabletop Games To Switch
I like the game diversity coming to the system. Now we need some realistic racing games, the only thing the Switch is lacking imo.

Re: Review: Overcooked 2 (Switch)
Is it 60fps? This is such an important factor to the fluidity of a game like this, but I cannot find an answer anywhere.
Re: Octopath Traveler Ships One Million Copies Worldwide In Just Three Weeks
The audience is there. Square should consider bringing some other popular RPGs to the system, Kingdom Hearts would be lovely!

I am still playing Octopath Traveler and just got Megaman X Legacy Collection.

I will get this for sure, but my Switch backlog and the approaching release of Okami, Iconoclasts and Dead Cells call for prioritization.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend?
Juggling between Hollow Knight and Octopath, some Lumines and to my surprise, Pocket Rumble!

No it is not good. They should redeem themselves by releasing a good, working port of the next game. This is their doing after all!

Sure. Good luck setting up a match with your online friends and using voice chat.
Re: Nintendo Bans Online Services For Prominent Hacker's Switch Console
@Howwy
Yeah I know, they cheaped out there too, by using a non custom, off the shelf, Tegra X1 with known vulnerabilities.
Re: Nintendo Bans Online Services For Prominent Hacker's Switch Console
Ban them? I say give them jobs. Nintendo could use them to improve the poor security of its system and the mess that is the online service.
