@mister_magnus
I have the game on Steam and love it to bits. I feel tricked, having bought the game a second time only to find out that the so called remastered version is inferior to a 6 yo 2D game, when there is absolutely no reason to run so poorly.
Frame rate is absolutely noticeable and although this is not a twitch game, it can be bothersome under specific circumstances, like when trying to escape quickly or hide bodies. If we don't complain about it, they won't bother fixing it.
I got Mark of the Ninja Remastered and although it is as good as ever, it has some serious framerate issues. Keep that in mind, in case you decide to buy it.
@Cobalt Please control your lols and your same old boring negativity. I have multiple systems, I play Forza all the time and I enjoy and play the Switch outside. You find others predictable, yet you cannot see exactly that in yourself.
Their excuses aren't good enough on anything around a paying online service. It's not about the cost, it's about what it offers. In system voice chat, messaging and inviting friends, dedicated servers is what should be a given.
It is really weird that the company with the biggest and greatest catalog of retro games, does not understand retro gaming in modern days(or online for that matter) . Indies get it, Sega gets it, Capcom finally gets it!
They are sitting on a goldmine, but instead of giving people convenience and incentives, they create obstacles.
Not super happy for paying a fee for something that used to be free and is subpar to the competition. I know the price is low, but still.. And I care not for NES games.
There was no shortage of retro inspired games in recent times and many of them proved to be masterpieces. The Switch played a major part to this trend and I couldn't be happier!
I wanted this game from the moment it was released on Steam but held off buying it cause I knew it would come to Switch eventually. I mean, it is perfect there, it would be madness not to!
Anyone saying 60fps doesn't matter in a twitch game like this,is clueless. That being said, the game is totally playable and enjoyable, but the framerate rate drops are noticeable and annoying. I think the devs made the right choice to release the game now though, since it is not in a terrible form, as long as they stay committed to fixing it.
This is gonna have to wait. With Octopath, Megaman X, Dead Cells, Pocket Rumble, Lumines, Bomb Chicken, Hollow Knight, Sonic DLC bought recently, the day had to be in Martian hours to able to keep up!
@roadrunner343 Agreed,though the nature and visual style of this game is better suited to the Switch imo. I wish it could be played without compromises and I really think that with some effort put to it, there would be no reason for not being a flawless 60.
Actually, CD Media is the same distributor as in Greece. Previous distributor, Nortec - for both Greece and Turkey as well, was in dispute with Nintendo and they dropped distribution rights, before CD Media stepped in.
As for the prices, I am not sure why that is. In Greece, Switch unit and game prices are more or less the same as with the rest of Europe.
There is no way I am going to pick them all up at once. Outside of the cost, they are time investing games and they deserve my attention. I am thinking Dead Cells and Okami first and this and Iconoclasts later.
I like Epic, the way I used to like Valve, when they were actually developing games. Their contribution to gaming, with Unreal, Unreal Tournament,Gears of War, Unreal Engine and their stance against Microsoft when they tried to create a close guarded environment for PC games development, has won my respect.
I wanted this game ever since it was first shown in the Switch 's presentation. It looked and felt special, demos added some credit to it and I am so happy it really is!
