I am near the end on PC and have always wanted to play this on Switch for some reason.I don't know if I''ll buy a story driven game again,but for anyone else,this is a fantastic,full of atmosphere, game.
It is more than fine being a port, with some fine tuning, new additions and maybe a new menu and single player.
Dismissing all of the existing assets of a superb game in favor of a totally new one for the sake of it, would be a shame and a waste of resources.
Also, bring on Shovel Knight!
The need to point out that there are very good games in Switch's library is somewhat disturbing. We all know that, but out of all the editors, no one's favorite was BotW or Odyssey???
I love this game. I have it on Steam and PS Vita and as much as I want to, I can't convince myself to buy it for a third time. I am waiting for a sale maybe. For anyone who's never played it, don't hesitate!
@Nintendofan83 I really hope it is heavy on story telling,like The Last of Us!Not that I would mind something like Resident Evil with the secret Nintendo sauce!
IF the rumor is true, IF it is a decent game and IF it is a good porting job without lacking quality or content, then I'll get it even though I'm not a huge COD fan. It is an important franchise, it will be good for the platform. But it has to be good enough to warrant sales, otherwise don't bother.
Let them have it. Nintendo gamers have a better chance of seeing EA software under Microsoft ownership than the current state of affairs. Not that this is happening any time soon, but still..
There are more than 3 million Switch consoles in Japan alone. By the time a new Monster Hunter could hit the system, that number will be huge. We all know how much Japan loves portables and this series. A new Monster Hunter by 2020 for the Switch could easily sell upwards of 5 million on this platform alone. I wonder if Capcom can comprehend this and how much they love money.
@GravyThief
This is not politics,this is about being a decent human being.No one condone with theft and no one thinks that an adult should not be accountable for his actions.I think they could be less strict and still communicate the right message.
@electrolite77 I think that not even Nintendo anticipated that this console would have such an impact on adult gamers. It is not cheap by any means-compared to PS4/XONE entry consoles, the games are expensive etc. None of these things stopped the Switch from being a mega hit and games to sell loads. It is golden!
I have said it before, but there are many cases that prove just how different the Switch demographic is from the Wii U era. It is the hybrid nature of the console of course that makes people want to experience many games on the go, even if double dipping, but it is mainly an adult console. And those adults spend money. This makes me very optimistic of what's to come!
I think that it will sell good on Switch. There is clearly a demand for ports of older games on a Nintendo platform, either cause Nintendo only gamers might have never played them, or for the portability factor. It will be really cool playing Dark Souls on the go, just like it is with Skyrim, Doom, Rocket League and many others. I will be double dipping no question!
Opinions will be devided whatever direction the series takes. Personally, I don't mind either, since I loved almost every game. But I think the best route is a mix of the open world freedom BotW introduced, with a more linear, tight structure and classic dungeons for the main story.
@ACK
I have made some adjustments there and although it is somewhat better,it does not remedy the actual problem. Maybe I am spoiled,Idk,but for this game in particular it just doesn't feel right.
@Jaredfrogman
What you say can only be true if playing on a TV with high latency (which is the majority of them). There is no excuse for the same to occur when in handheld mode. In this case, there is something not right with the game itself.
P. S If you want to put this to the test, try connecting your PS4 to a decent PC monitor, if you have one available and see if you can spot the difference.
Input lag has nothing to do with framerate. The game can be a flawless 60fps( I am not sure if it is though) but with input lag being present a movement or button press doesn't translate to an instant action as it should.
Performance is not flawless at all. There is noticeable input lag compared to what I'm used to playing on PC for so long. Any improvements on image quality would be welcome, but how the game feels is most important.

I've been waiting for this since the Switch's launch! If only it included online multiplayer..
Re: Ubisoft's Big E3 2018 Keynote Will Be Heading To LA On 11th June

Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend?
Star Wars Battlefront 2 on PC, Thimbleweed Park on Switch, Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze on WiiU!
Re: Developer Iconoclasts Says Porting The Game To Switch "Would Be Fun"
You know what else is fun? Making fun of a great pile of money you could be making instead of making fun!

Hell yeah, buying again no question!
Re: Grab Zelda, ARMS, FIFA 18 And More In The Big eShop Sale On 3DS, Wii U And Switch
Already own all of them except Skyrim. If only it was 30€, 40€ for digital is still much imo. Fifa for 30€ is mouth watering!
Re: Feature: Which Games Do You Want To See In Today's Nindies Showcase?
Broforce, Into the Breach, Towerfall Ascension.

Re: Poll Data Suggests Switch Owners Are More Into Mobile Games Than Their Console Friends
PC/Nintendo gamer here. Can't find anything appealing to Smartphone games, outside the occasional puzzle game, which blends well with touch controls.
Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 Is Officially Announced, But There's No Switch Version
There's still e3 and the months in between. I believe that both this and Diablo 3 will come this year.
Re: Feature: Nintendo Life's Top Ten eShop Games From Switch's First Year
It is not a new game, but Enter the Gungeon is absolutely great! Stardew Valley is as well, but Celeste is probably the best imo.

Re: Rumour: Is Blizzard Teasing A Nintendo Switch Port Of Diablo 3?
I can see this happening, it makes sense. And I only bought it once, played only one character and I would definitely buy a portable Diablo!

If it's from Bethesda, Fallout 4 has a good chance of getting a port.Which would be great,since I didn't get to play it yet!
Re: Rumour: A Second Toy Maker Says A New Sonic Racing Game Really Is Revving Its Engines
The WiiU game was good enough, but playing it on PC at 1080p/60 was a great experience.
Re: Arcade-Action Brawler Varion Is Blasting Its Way Onto Switch This Spring
I hate bouncing shots when playing Enter the Gungeon. Buying a game based entirely on this concept is a big no from me.

Bayonetta 2,Dying Light on Steam!

Don't care if MS buys EA, but not Valve. The only good thing that could come out of that would be Half Life 3 Xbox/Windows exclusive.

At 23 he's probably more foolish than immoral. It is a shame really and it doesn't worth all the trouble he got into for 160€.

Not likely. This is nowhere near as demanding as Doom, it started life on PS3/X360.

It is legendary good. It requires patience and persistence, but once it clicks, it is pure gaming nirvana.

Agreed. So many excellent games, there is no excuse for subpar ports.
Re: More Than 240 Nintendo Switch, Wii U And 3DS eShop Games Are On Sale In Europe
@smashboy2000
Compared to the 60 fps on PC it lacks. It's a more stable 30, but not as fluid as I would like. Perfectly playable though.
Re: More Than 270 Nintendo Switch, Wii U And 3DS eShop Games Are On Sale In Europe
Bought the excellent Shovel Knight Treasure Trove for the third time!
Re: Review: Yooka-Laylee (Switch eShop)
I would rather spend 30€ to get(for a second time) Rayman Legends physical for my platforming needs. A lot more polish, precision and fun!
