I don't care if the developers want to emulate the "style of Cuphead" (yes, I know cuphead didn't invent the style), but this is more than an homage. Why can't they get their own ideas when it comes to boss battle set pieces.
I experienced a meteor shower last night, and I probably wished on well over 50 stars. The initial sweep of the island yielded 10 fragments (including one Aries), but as I played, more were washing up on the beach. I expect to find more today unless there's a hard cap.
I think the most sensible thing to do is just deal with it and not make 100+ wishes expecting there to be 100+ fragments on the beach the next morning. They're supposed to be uncommon after all.
Just to repeat what I said earlier. I don't store my details on my switch (or WiiU or 3DS for that matter), and I generally didn''t like to link Paypal to the Switch shop because it made the process of buying too quick and easy (I was worried it might be an avenue for fraud), but I'm open to reconsidering if it is truly more secure.
Is two-factor authenication even an option on the eShop? I use the google authenticator to log into my my.nintendo account, but I've never been prompted to on the shop.
I had some difficulty trying to purchase something yesterday though - I couldn't complete a transaction because the debit card kept getting rejected. I put the details in carefully, and repeatedly, but still no luck.
I then got a different error when I tried to add the same item to my basket, after the previous error related to the bank card.
I ended up temporarily linking my PayPal account and purchasing it through that, but I never experienced these difficulties.
I wonder if my bank had pre-emptively blacklisted the Nintendo eShops due to these reports of fraud.
If I recall, in New Leaf, the turnip prices followed a set of trends, meaning, you could determine fairly accurately how high you could potentially sell them for. I wonder if New Horizons has a similar system.
Mine are currently 39 bells a bunch. I've got a good feeling about them though - I've never known them to be selling for such a low price.
The reasoning for that is it primarily involves using specially designed software tools - not something you or I could do on our switches. Secondly, it's possible to no clip on someone elses Island as well, and that might open up opportunities for exploits which Nintendo may not look favourably on.
Of course, Nintendo are going to (false) copy-strike the video like they did TheSpiffingBrit's video anyway, so I'd be quick and watch the video (and its follow up - due to be released in time) before they are inevitably removed.
I checked your twitter, and that cat picture (plus your love of King of the Hill) has convinced me you deserve my key. I can DM you it if you'd like. I too was pretty quick on the draw, and fortunately, I was lucky enough to get it, but I opted for a switch copy, and they require an American user account. I've weighed up the hassle of setting one up against how much I really want to play the game, and it doesn't seem worth it to me.
It might be a good idea to wait maybe 24 hours, just to be sure your email isn't late. I trust you've checked your spam folder too, just in case.
I'm really anxious to see some gameplay for Shin Megami Tensei V. They're being so secretive with the game. I'd like to see more of No More Heroes too!
I was surprised by the Xenoblade Chronicles epilogue announcement, although between the original Wii version and the 3DS remake, I don't think I have it in me to play through the game a third time.
It's currently available on Apple's new service. I think they stepped in and requested exclusivity, so Wayforward split the game up in to two halves (the first is free, I think), and the second part has recently been released.
I'd been following their twitter, (you'll have to sift through all the fan-art they keep retweeting) and all they have to say to questions about the Switch version is pretty much "more news at a later date."
We probably won't have to wait too long for news on it - the next direct could be a suitable time for them to share this vital information.
I played Super Famicom Wars on an emulator years ago (before it had a translation patch), but to be honest, the subsequent games improve the format too much for me to ever want to play these ones again. I do believe the SNES one has an interesting unit type that is absent from the GBA ones, and the presentation was cute, so I'll say that much.
Unfortunately, I believe the NES version, like the SNES version has a character modelled on Hitler (Hetler), and with the game being so niche, I doubt Nintendo would make the effort to edit the sprite.
Lots of interesting insight from the nintendoeverything interview.
Makes me wonder why the Nintendolife article had to lead with the 'sexy character' angle.
I did recruit Dorothea, however, but she was probably the least used hero after Shamir for me - I just couldn't make room for her in the squad. That's something I liked about Fire Emblem Shadows of Valentia - you were able to deploy your entire army, so there were no stragglers.
Bernadetta (who I was also able to recruit), on the other hand saw much more action - I made her a Bow Knight (I gave her the special move boosting consumable as well), and she was well adept at whomping particularly dangerous foes - Mages with dark magic that can reduce your HP to 1, for example.
I did, however, play on Normal difficulty for my first playthrough, and it was noticeably easy.
I thought Linhardt was a woman when I first saw the design, and I was surprised when it turned out he's a man. I doubt they're going to run with the angle you're fearing though.
If Sony's customers are supposed to be more mature, then why did Sony feel the need to protect them from all the Nintendo (and Microsoft) bullies playing Minecraft by prohibiting crossplay between the consoles, citing duty of care to their players.
@Ryu_Niiyama I’ll take your word for it - I personally wasn’t part of the community at the time, but I can imagine the mini game was seen as a chore in any case. I didn’t mind it myself, but I wouldn’t call it the “best part of the game” either.
I can't remember the probe minigame being widely detested, but it was a heck of a lot better than its Mass Effect 1 equivalent - the moon buggy exploration. Tedious and unwieldy!
One winner only. The raffle prizes are fairly nice (assuming the soundtrack is a full one and not one of those "selection" wastes of time Nintendo release), but by the time the game releases, it'll probably be reduced in price in other places.

It is a bit low brow for the Business Insider, I'll agree.

This article is not too disimilar to the one on business insider. It too appears to be fishing for outrage.

I was buying something off the switch eShop. So you could say it was direct.
