Personally, I can live with 720p games but framrate means a lot more to me. I can deal with 30fps on handheld and mobile, on console it really ruins it for me. It's way more noticible to me. I can live with it I guess, but somehow I have a feeling big games wont achieve high fps or high resolution on Switch, and that's very disappointing to me, who, as a customer, will likely never take the $300+ system outside my front door.
The set up is alright. I don't like the assymetry of the joy con L and R though. Also really hate those + and - buttons, really, what was wrong with circles?
So, not that this isn't beautiful, but, can I make the joke that the new metroid game has such a stigma that the space 3DS can't even have the name of the new space game on it?
While this sounds cool in theory, that's a lot of parts that can be lost, ESPECIALLY, if this thing is portable like rumors say. I'm not carrying around a bunch of modules just to play my favorite games on the go.
While I don't disagree with the idea... That really depends on the pokemon that will be in Gen VII. For example, if they jumped and added in Gen IV next, Porygon Z would be added, but Porygon 2 wouldn't be. It's a pretty tricky situation to go out of order.
personally, I think the rumored leaks sound terrible. something as expensive as a console shouldn't be treated like a handheld. it'll break easily. and sure, I could keep my nx at home and safe, but the design decision will affect the console's power and potentially even gameplay, if it expects you to play Pokemon Go or similar game-types on it.
will I be playing at the end of the year? absolutely. I love the game and I have a portable charger and enough data in my plan. Am I playing now? nope cuz my phone is broken.
maybe with their first party stuff, like Miitomo, but... for something like Pokemon Go, there'd need to be long-distance internet connection, and location data. And I do not trust Nintendo enough to pay for a data plan.
I was disapointed with the Mania announcement, got excited when they said that it wasn't project 2017, and then they said it wasn't a sequel, but then it was just sonic generations again. And by the looks of it, it'll likely take the gameplay of generations but without the nostalgic levels. Which unfortunately was the only thing I liked about generations. Unfortunately, Sonic Mania looks better than 2k17 to me. And unfortunately, the sonic advance trilogy looks better than mania to me. Maybe if they announce more characters for either game I'll be interested, or maybe if they somehow get Jaleel White to play classic sonic it could at least be funny.
I'm down for this. I especially like how HoloLens can detect surfaces in 3D so it could much more accurately decide where a pokemon is standing and where a pokeball can be thrown
All sponsored locations need is an infinite lure module. And places like Gamestop could potentially just invest in buying lure modules and using them often to attract customers, if their stores are allready pokespots
kind of disapointing. It has a lot of great games, but my genesis classic has 80 games included, and could load classic carts. sure the controllers it came with sucked, but you can plug in real genesis controllers.
I rather like (and own) both the DSi and the 3DS Smile Basic game. Thankfully I've moved on to real game development now, so this doesn't hurt me one bit.
If they fix all the freezes an optimize the menus to be less cpu intensive, it'll be great. An extra plus if they add some performance options to turn things off like the dynamic backgrounds or even to simplify animations and models. Basically, make the game playable and I'll be happy. As it stands now, I have very mixed feelings as I've yet to take a trip that didn't have technical issues.
I can hardly play the game. It needs not only better servers, but some performance boosts as well. My tablet from 2 years ago can't run the game without crashing just from how much cpu the game demands for scrolling down menus.
Thank god they aren't rushing a game for the anniversary. The last thing we need is to celebrate his 25th anniversary by celebrating how terrible his modern games are.
add a local 2 player to a console system and I'll be interested. Just don't make me have to find an odd number of players who need to own a 40$ game and a system on top of that. e.e
Did someone give Kraken to an Aerospray? That sounds like a terrible idea. That thing was obnoxious enough as it is. At least the new splat charger looks cool.
Maybe if they at least show SOMETHING that hasn't been previously shown or announced I'd be a little excited. At this rate I'm more likely to be more watchful of Oculus's E3. and I'm not even getting an Oculus.
uh, He can have his chance when I see him animate, but that art style isn't doing anything for me right now. surprise me, please, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
So I'm all for this project, but Navi's fairy dust all in the screen was a big enough pain already. Now Link is kicking up dust in the players face. A way to hide nearby particle effects would be much appreciated later down the line.
i've been working in unity, but by the time I can get a decent product worth producing on real consoles or handhelds, the NX Will definatrly be out. I hope it'll support unity as well.
I've no issues with Lost World, it was a good base and an interesting experiment for the franchise. And while I'm not a fan of the formula, the smartest thing they could do would be to make another generations/colors style game.Personally, though, I miss multiple playable characters. I love playing Tails and Amy and Shadow and Silver and the whole crew. I mean, boom and 06 had those as features, but... they could do better.
If we get all five of these released, it'll be a good year. Although I have a feeling NX will be for next year, but so long as they show it off and maybe release a final name that doesn't include the word "Wii" or "New" in the title, it'll still be a good year.
Fire clown car looks kinda lame unless enemies can make use of it.P-doors are interesting, but don't add anything that some well placed blocs couldn't do. Bumpers however... that's something I could use.
I'm not opposed to the idea. Nintendo is always trying to widen its audience, after all. And just think of Nintendo and Microsoft working together on a new Banjo Kazooie game. I don't even think the xbox haters would be opposed to that.
This is really cool. Using multiple devices, and multiple processors, to get more work done can definately help nintendo compensate their systems' notorious lack of power.
Certainly interesting, but an external display for old games seems a little pointless. I guess it'd be cool to have external data that isn't normally displayed, like a map, would be cool. i'm sure if he kept going and streamlined the design you could get some cool things, but, it'd be easier to do work on a game programmed with external transmission intentionally in mind.
so, I was planning to use a female avatar, and any customization loss is fairly upsetting. The default bust size is alright, but I was planning a younger looking character. If there is an age modifier, I hope they fixed it to effect bust size as well.
Eh... some ideas are okay. I don't agree with a lot of his alpha setups, but I would certainly appreciate some nice stages for for glory mode. Most of his character balances are ridiculous, imo. Especially what he proposed for link and toon link. And I don't think he realizes how much a lot of his team heal suggestions can be abused. At least it was an interesting read.
