About a month ago, we reported on an ongoing project by a YouTuber named CryZENx wherein The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is remade in Unreal Engine 4. Naturally, the project looks absolutely stunning, and while one must wonder what the full game would be like in this style, it's certainly nice to see the quintessential Zelda game rendered in glorious HD.
Last time, we were shown what Gerudo Valley looked like and now it's gone a bit further to the Spirit Temple within. It's all sand and rocks, of course, but Adult Link and all of his gear are arguably the stars of the show. Now if only we could see the Forest Temple...
What do you think? How far will this project go before getting shut down? Would you buy an HD Ocarina of Time? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

OMG!! I love the Gerudo! I agree with @Tsurii though. Has a little too much heatwaves. While I think a full Nintendo remake of Ocarina of Time will be a lot more polished and have a more realized art design, this is a very good peek at what a future Ocarina of Time would look like. I hope whoever made this eventually gets a job doing this because they have a lot of talent.

Their camera work leaves a lot to be desired, at least this time they didn't spend half the video looking up Link's tunic.
There's always something off about these videos. I think it's that they don't look natural and that they're lifeless.
@Utena-mobile Let's be real. If Nintendo remade OoT again, they would still include the hookshoot-able spots on the sand goddess statue.
Link's animations are looking less clunky, and they've toned down the particle effects as well, which is definitely a welcome change.
Wow, that is amazing
One of my favourite parts of the game.
@InternetBowser 3DS isn't capable of HD
Ocarina of Time 3D looks good enough for me. If it was remade in HD, it probably would look VERY different than this because of the varying graphical styles.
Looks very nice.
Poor cameraman, he has to deal with having all that fairy dust in his face.
I'm still hoping for a remastering of this game for the 20th anniversary. I know it got the 3D facelift already, but man..... imagining Ocarina of Time with the engine used on the upcoming Zelda game makes me all fuzzy inside. That's to say that I think Twilight Princess HD looks quite nice, but all the flat textures leave me wanting.... I'd love to see Ocarina of Time again, but not just nicer textures; I'd love to see the scenery really prettied up overall and feel really alive and vibrant, like all the swaying grass fields from the E3 trailer of Zelda U from 2014.
@InternetBowser I think some of the Unreal Engine effects are a bit tacky, and definitely feel out of place in a Zelda world. What I assume are stock particle effects on Navi and such seem like nothing more than "Add ALL THE FLAIR!!!" than cohesive elements. I'm impressed by the work of this person nonetheless, but I suspect that using some stock UE4 assets and effects (or not quite modifying them enough) leads to the uncanny feel of some elements mixed together. It's like a weird combo of a fantasy setting and realistic effects, but only on certain objects.... it's weird. Impressive, but weird.
All CryZENx does is take 3DS models, retextures them and throws a load of particles around. Check out Zelda as Imagined https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hW1MQFW6iHA
What is it about Unreal Engine 4 tech demos that leave such butthurt reactions from people? This stuff looks dope!
Please don't say Nintendo should hire this guy. Nintendo developers are capable of this as well. It does look pretty nice though.
@allav866 I don't know anything about hookshot spots on the Goddess of the Sand, but I meant that Nintendo would have more fluid and realistic animation and movement. That's what I meant by more "polish"
So I'm all for this project, but Navi's fairy dust all in the screen was a big enough pain already. Now Link is kicking up dust in the players face. A way to hide nearby particle effects would be much appreciated later down the line.
Looks great!
I always enjoy seeing stuff like this, but I have a few issues with how the environment is rendered. I feel like the glare of the sun is too jarring, and the shimmering is a little too much so. Plus, Link looks a little...I dunno...bland? I feel like his wardrobe could use some polishing.
Props for an enjoyable off-remix of the Spirit Temple theme, at least.
Why not do the entire game? It looks awesome so far!
Quick, watch the video before Nintendo issues a take down notice!
Well they finally got the Adult link figure looking as good as the Young link figure. Very nice!
@Utena-mobile I know, but I was jokingly referring to the fact that the Sand Goddess's chest has two tiny areas you can hookshot onto, and they weren't removed in the 3DS remake, so if another remake were to happen, they'd still be there.
@Clownshoes I don't know man, Zelda U is looking and sounding like it's gonna set the bar pretty high. They have a lot of confidence in it.
CryZENx:
Would you all please stop for a minute, and check the last 2 characters on that user name? I don't think it's a coincidence, and based on that, a question comes to my mind:
Why is it still in youtube, given the publicity that this user has received in the last 2 or 3 months?
