Launching just two weeks apart over the coming months are Astral Chain and Daemon X Machina, two very intriguing Nintendo Switch exclusives that could be well worth your time. Now, both games' super-duper limited editions have arrived on the Nintendo UK Store and they look very tasty indeed.
PlatinumGames' Astral Chain is getting a Collector's Edition which features a physical copy of the game, a 152-page artbook, a Shikishi art board, a legion pin, and a soundtrack CD. You can also grab the standalone game with just the legion pin for £20 less.
If Daemon X Machina is more your thing, its 'Orbital Limited Edition' includes the game, an 18cm-tall Arsenal statue, a 100-page artbook, a SteelBook and a hangar-style box with a compartment for displaying your statue. Those who pre-order it from the Nintendo UK Store will also get an exclusive metal plate, which also comes with the cheaper standalone option.
Update: And just like that, the limited editions both appear to be out of stock. The standalone versions are still available, but make sure to keep checking back if you're after the bundles.
Update 2: And now the standalone versions are out of stock, too! Typical! Hopefully they'll be back in stock soon.

A little behind the curve on this one NL!? They've been on the website for a week or more now.
Yo Nintendo, how bout you throw some of these goodies towards us Americans? Seriously, even Australia gets an exclusive Glow and the Dark Luigis Mansion Steel Book.
Nintendo Life, there's something clearly wrong with your promotional/marketing/advertising article system, because this is the second time you've published a time-sensitive article a week late. 5 days late in this case.
Both Orbital Limited Editions and Collector's Editions are already sold out.
Wow! Both looks amazing!
out of stock all of them
Yeah everything is out of stock
So glad I managed to get these pre-ordered when I did.. I feel for those that missed out on them though.
There is no point in having affiliate links if the things you are trying to sell are already sold out.
WELL DONE!!!
Was exactly the same with Link's Awakening.
Come on @NintendoLife sort it out
Yeah, I saw the Demon x Machina Orbital a week ago or so. -shrugs-
Daemon X Machina Orbital Edition is still available through Game.co.uk, but like everyone else has mentioned, the rest have sold everywhere else.
@sikthvash
Now that you've mentioned it, Nintendo Life will scramble to push an article update with those GAME affiliate links added in.
Not sure why you would want a limited edition bundle of two new IPs we don’t even know if they are good games yet and no nostalgia towards them or anything 🤷♂️
I'm hyped for both games. The standard retail editions will do fine for me... Just as well really since these sold out long ago.....
@BANJO finally got round to playing your second game at the weekend it’s awesome 👏 when is threeie getting released?
I'm pretty much over special editions. It's just a bulky box with some stuff you'll never look at after the first time.
@RupeeClock Don't know what you're talking about; surely they'll be doing it to keep the followers happy? =0p
Yeah, a bit late with this one. I think I mentioned in a previous comment about pre-ordering Astral Chain from the UK Store a while ago. I was thinking about pre-ordering Daemon X Machina, but after the demo, I am not sure if I even want the game let alone the special edition.
That mech figure looks cool though.
@sandman89 It is awesome... I still go back and play them both quite often. Banjo Kazzoie was the first game I got with my N64. I was relatively new to gaming at the time, I think I made a good first choice...
No news on Threeie, Rare today is not the Rare of old unfortunately.... There has been talk of a third entry but there is worry about the demand being high enough to warrent making it.
There was Banjo Nuts and Bolts released on the 360 and a GBA entry (B&K Gruntys Revenge) although they were just was not the same and lacked both the charm and great gameplay of both Kazzoie and Tooie.
The best we will get is both bear and bird coming to Smash. Although I hope to see HD versions of both Kazzoie and Tooie make an appearance on the Switch.....
Rare Replay on the Switch needs to happen
Yup nearly a week too late.
I do think when you post an article like this and then you find out it is sold out you should really just delete the article. As there's no real point in it being there.
Also might be worth all of the team signing up to the Nintendo Store email newsletters. So it can be posted on the day something is announced as being in stock. Or just the UK readers sign up to them.
@BANJO I have kazooie tooie and gruntys revenge. Just got tooie though I’ve no idea why I didn’t buy it when it came out originally 🤷♂️ Found a copy on eBay. Yes would love them on switch.
@sandman89 It's a great game, really pushes the N64 to its limits... Enjoy!!
Damn! I wanted to know about this when it actually happened, I thought this was new (news)... Really want that Astral Chain edition, it's my most hyped game this year.
Both already out of stock eh? This may be an early guess, but I think both games are slated to do pretty well.
Pre-ordered both limited editions like 6 weeks ago lol
If anyone is still looking to pre-order this, 365games has stock at the moment.
