Re: YouTube Is Hiding The Dislike Count, Good News For Switch Online's Video Team

I would have been highly against this if it wasn't for the social justice warriors and generally idiots who use dislike buttons as a political/religious/fanboy/whatever tool rather than judging the quality of the content. Review bombing is a perfect example of that. It makes sense that it will help to create a more peaceful culture, but it will also be a huge advantage for YouTube since it also helps to prevent people from being discouraged of creating content on the platform

Re: Three Kingdom Hearts Games Are Coming To Switch, But They're All Cloud Versions

@NintendoGamer22

I definitely agree. People can get irritated or even offended by cloud games, but in the end: If they didn't make them cloud games, we wouldn't have gotten those games at all. It feels like many people are pretty black and white about it and think "if I can't have the game because my internet sucks, then nobody shall have it!!11".
At the end of the day, it's just that people who would never have gotten the games still don't get it, and those with better internet will get them... It's better that some will get the chance to play them than nobody at all.

By the way, still find it quite ironic that people overseas thought I had bad internet when I complained about PKMN SW/SH lag online when it released, but at the same time, I'm sitting here, just chilling and playing cloud games with my mobile connection xD It's good stuff

Re: Teardown Suggests The Switch OLED Dock Is 4K 60fps-Ready And 'Future Proof'

Well, considering that Nintendo has been looking into an upscaling technology themselves, I doubt that they would use Nvidias DLSS to begin with but their own version. Take it with a huge spoonfull of salt, but what if they are on their way with their own technology, and that it's capable of running well on the current Switch versions through the dock?

@jrt87
Amen. I find the "need" argument for gaming consoles (or any entertainment) quite weird to begin with. At the end of the day, gaming consoles aren't "needs" but "wants". Not saying at all that it's wrong to want something, but arguing with someone that you don't need this and that in a gaming console doesn't make sense, because it's extremely subjective.

Anyways, I've been thing about it, and I think it's time to replace my 2017 version... that OLED screen looks really attractive

Re: Gallery: Atlus Shares 30 Screenshots Of Shin Megami Tensei V For Switch

Gotta admit, my first smt game was nocturne (beside the Persona spin-offs of course), but I'm really excited for this one! It's gonna be interesting how the story will be, seems like it's getting more Persona-ish with traveling between apocalypse-Tokyo and illusion-Tokyo

@Strumpan
People who say it looks like a ps2 game are usually fans of another system that either who want to provoke Switch gamers in general or gamers who're frustrated of the game being a Switch exclusive

Re: Roundup: Here's What Was Revealed In Nintendo Direct E3 2021

danemord

@GinMiguel

And that's what can put some people off... Directs are in general diverse, not focused on for example shooters or RPG but an all-around show. People who seek something very specific would be better off waiting until after the show and see if there's a good trailer for them. After all, if the specific game is not mentioned, it's just trash for them.

But if you look at it more objectively (as objectively as you can with entertainment)... There wasn't really any games that either isn't metarated as a really good game or isn't from a good rated franchise. That's what you call a really good Direct from a general view.

Luckily I'm not picky with game genres and franchises as long as it's quality, so the direct was jackpot for me
