Re: Here's A Look At Follower Quests In Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak

danemord

@Highlar I think it depends... the problem we usually have with having an npc on a team in a game is that they tend to like making that one stupid decision that kills them off early and therefore needs help/medic constantly. I think it would make the game way too hard for many if they got carted as well

But I hope it means that the difficulty is higher

Re: Yes, Folders Are Now On Switch, Here Are Some Quick Tips

danemord

I really hope they'll give us a choice later to make the folders available directly in "all software". I get that it makes sense to not have folders on the home screen, but I think it would work if it was in "all software" instead of having this subpart by pressing L. It just feels very unnecessary

Re: Rumour: Are We Getting A New Eeveelution In Pokémon Scarlet And Violet?

danemord

Sounds like a plot twist that she can't evolve Eevee. It's not like for example Pikachu who just refuses to evolve, so it sounds very odd if they stick with it. It's very likely that they're gonna introduce a new Eeveelution this way.
Wasn't there a rumor as well that there would be a new type in gen 9 or some kind of type changing? Don't know how probable that is, but it would be interesting to an Eevee take use of that

Re: Atlus Announces Soul Hackers 2, But It's Not Coming To Switch

@ShadowofTwilight22 I don't think he said it runs flawlessly (at least not here). I would say though that I also think it runs great, everything considered. It's doesn't run perfectly of course, but it's definitely in the high end for games with demanding graphics.
I guess I just get tired of channels like Digital Foundry since way too many people use it for hate preaching, even though the majority would never have notised or been bothered by most technical issues in games if it wasn't directly pointed out to them

Re: Atlus Announces Soul Hackers 2, But It's Not Coming To Switch

@Itachi2099

Gamer: This looks really good for a Switch game
Digital Foundry: It has some technical stutters
Gamer: IT RUNS REALLY BAD!!!

Seriously, most of technical issues people point out is mostly nitpicking (for some reason, way more people nowadays claim to get eye disorders and vision problems for any less than 60fps than in the Playstation era). I know that It's Digital Foundry's to go deep into graphical technicalities but way too many take they words as gospel

Re: Round Up: The Pokémon Legends: Arceus Reviews Are In

danemord

When I was a young gamer lad, i never would have imagined that a tree in a game some day could become such a huge issue 🧐 a generational change of priorities, I suppose.

Good to see some positive reviews, it makes me even more excited for playing it this friday

Re: Persona 4 Arena Ultimax Brings The Fight To Nintendo Switch Next Year

danemord

Niiice... Guess that it'll be a new fighting game for our game nights

Still irritated though that I can't play P4G beside on my worse-than-a-toaster laptop (3 years old but lags and shuts down the game a lot)

My predictions for the ret of the Persona anniversary:

  • lots of merchandise like pens and stickers
  • Persona dance game for Nintendo Switch
  • Shin Megami Tensei V plus Persona 3, 4, and 6 for PS5 just to add some extra salt

Re: Datamine Uncovers References To PS4 And PC In Switch Exclusive Shin Megami Tensei V

danemord

Couldn't care less that other gamers will get to play this masterpiece... if it wasn't because we only have indication of double standards! Like others have said, Persona has been "locked" on playstation for years without any sign of it changing, while we see preparation for other platforms here directly in the code, i.e. that they've already prepared for it sometime during the development. There will be an outrage if Atlus' next Switch announcement is just the Persona dancing game, but we'll see if they can redeem themselves in december.

On the other hand, I wonder if it could be leftovers from the unreal engine? I'm not expert in that field, so I have no idea

Re: YouTube Is Hiding The Dislike Count, Good News For Switch Online's Video Team

danemord

@Debo626 and that's also okay. Maybe I wasn't clear about what I meant (it's not my first language, so it's not always perfectly written), but I definitely think there are legitimate reasons to dislike something without being "edgy" I believe the bad cases will be less likely without a dislike count visible for the public, since it's not as "fun" when you can't see your results. the good thing is that companies like Nintendo can still see the dislikes, and I'm pretty sure they still want to compare it for statistics

Re: YouTube Is Hiding The Dislike Count, Good News For Switch Online's Video Team

danemord

@SuperCharr I would say that it doesn't matter that way. People and companies will still look at the statistics, so your voices is still heard. However, companies couldn't care less about dislikes as long as people still pay (NSO is a great example of that). People don't really realize that a dislike doesn't really matter as long as you pay up. However, it does affect content creators where it's used for cyber bullying, and that's not okay. If you, want to show a company that something's not okay, show them where it actually hurts. It's quite ironic how people barked about how horrible Pkmn sw/sh and NSO were for example, but apparently very few showed it with their wallets
