@gamecrawler Once I found out there was no couch co-op my interest in the game dropped immensely. Unfortunately the people I would want to play this game with don't own consoles.

Can they also make the music not suck?

Some of the melodrama here is eye-roll worthy.

It's a bummer that the game has been delayed, but if it was so bad that they felt the need to throw everything out and start over from scratch I'd rather wait.

Also, as much as I love Metroid, the Switch was never going to sink or swim based on a Metroid game. The series has never exactly been a major seller compared to other major Nintendo franchises(especially in Nintendo's home country).

The Switch is not "dead".

It's sad we live in an era where developers have to announce they won't have loot boxes and micro transactions in their games.

@MeloMan the reviews I've seen so far are people who were fans of the first two games and they're really disappointed with it and just can't really bring themselves to care about it.

That alone is a red flag to me.

My order for Tales of Vesperia got delayed until Monday, so right now I'm just alternating between Monster Hunter World on PC and Mario Rabbids.

Mario Rabbids is very good, I'm glad I finally sat down and played it a bit.

@Heavyarms55 They're more fun to watch than play.

Used to play Dragon's Lair 2 and Space Ace on my uncle's CD-i and they can be very frustrating experiences if you don't know what you're doing.

I'll be honest, main reason I clicked on the article is because I saw Magic Knight Rayearth.

That's a blast from the past right there.

This music is fantastic.

Well this felt random.

Not that I'm complaining because it's great we finally have a date. It's just weird seeing something like this announced outside of a direct.

Whatever the next step after the Switch is, I think they should stick with the hybrid console concept. Going back to having a console exclusively tethered to a TV would feel like a step back(for me at least).

I've become more of a handheld gamer over the last 7 years or so. The pick up and play nature of the systems just makes everything more convenient. And it's great for the occasional power outages.

Totaka's song has always been one of my favorite video game easter eggs ever since I originally discovered it back in Mario Paint. It was just so fascinating how it kept showing up in other games.

@Spectra I'm still hoping for an FFVI remake from the Octopath Traveler team.

I've been thinking for a while that 2019 is gonna be a big year for the Switch in general.

Should be interesting seeing how the January direct goes.

@NintendoFan4Lyf If he does come back to do the music I hope it's more in the vein of Streets of Rage 2 than 3 because... yikes 3's soundtrack is grating.

@Preposterous Even if you're comparing the quality of the games I'd have to say Persona 5 still has the edge over Xenoblade 2. Having played both, Persona 5 has better presentation, voice acting and overall game design.

Persona 5 is overall a better game as far as I'm concerned.

Well I wasn't expecting this to happen so quickly.

Glad to see the Switch is doing so well.

@Preposterous Doesn't stand a chance? That makes no sense, Persona 5 is a much more well known game than Xenoblade and sold extremely well on PS4 (there were several non-JRPG fans that the game pulled in as well).

I can guarantee if it comes to Switch it'll sell gangbusters.

I always go physical if I can because:

1. I like having the case
2. It uses less digital storage(unlike PS4 physical copies)
3. I still get a 20% discount on games through Best Buy until September 2019

Although we are at a point now in gaming where you dont even get the full games in retail releases anymore. Either because publishers are too cheap, the games need patches to fix issues, or as some draconian form of DRM like the recent news that the entirety of Kingdom Hearts 3 isnt even on the disc.

I really feel like I'm among a dying breed of gamers at times.

I remember when I was a kid watching shows like Cow & Chicken where the main villain was literally the devil walking around with his butt cheeks hanging out.

And that was on Cartoon Network.

I'm willing to bet if it was an ad for an FPS where people are getting shot they would've been fine with it though.

This is hilariously amazing and it'll be a shame when it's patched.

I grew up with an Atari 2600, it was never something that really grabbed me. Once I got my SNES I never touched the thing again.

The main character is "Joker" because of his ability to use the wildcard technique, which allows him to use more than one Persona.

Picked up a copy from Best Buy for $30 over the weekend. Like it so far, not too thrilled by how loud my Switch fan is while playing it though.

Decided to keep the Arwing in the box for now and hang the box on my wall.

2. Persona isn't really obscure anymore, largely because of Persona 5.

Please let this be an indication that Persona 5(and the series in general) is coming to Switch.

@nesrocks The junky Gateway 2000 I had in 1999 emulated the games better on a free version of Bleem! than this PS Classic does.

That was how I played my copy Mega Man X4 before I got my PS2(that or take it to a friend's house who had a PSX).

The PS classic doesn't even have most of the great games I associated with that system. And don't even get me started on the thing using the PAL versions of games(seriously, why do that?)

The SNES classic on the other hand has such a great library and presentation that it's a no brainer.

The ending of season 2 left me really wanting more.

@NintendoFan4Lyf There was also a pinball game I really enjoyed playing on my Uncle's CD-i but I can't remember the name of it.

I just remember one of the tables had a radioactive symbol on it.

Does it even have the original soundtrack?

Because if not then I'm not interested.

At least most of the people I've seen "complaining" about it are doing it in an obviously tongue in cheek way.

Anyway, the demo feels really good. The only problems I have are small nitpicks like the run animation. All in all I think this game is laying a great foundation for future Mega Man games going forward.

I'm looking forward to the X series getting a similar treatment.

Yeah I can imagine if you had to deal with performance like that framerate would be something that would've been more important to people living in Europe back then.

We were really spoiled here in the states.

I don't think I ever even heard the term "framerate" until I was in my 20's.

After checking out the GameXplain footage of the Switch version I'm really excited for this game.

Also I love the little details of the retro rockets firing when the Arwing makes turns.

This is basically what I was hoping Zero would be.

@Moroboshi876 They're a small team, stuff like this takes time and from what they're saying these final two expansions are massive.

I'm bummed by the delay, but I know Yacht Club will deliver like they always do so I'm fine with it.

@Orwellianson I mean he's likely making money off the video/stream, so I don't see how it's any more a waste of time than playing a video game on his own free time. As long as it helps him pay the bills and it's something he enjoys, I don't see the problem with it.

Video games in general are a waste of time, you could be spending your time doing something else "meaningful" instead of playing video games.

@rjejr Well in the case of Shovel Knight, if you own the base game (which has since been upgraded to 'Treasure Trove') you get everything for free as it releases.

I think when the game first came out on 3DS it was around $15 USD.

I beat Bastion on Steam many years ago when it first came out. I've been wanting this one on Switch in particular, so I'm looking forward to it.
