@oats-81 I haven't played in handheld yet, but I also haven't had any issues with the split direction buttons for a long time now. The X collection was the big test for me to see if it works and it does, so I imagine it won't be too bad in the Zero games either.
There are plenty of people who do get help and it still isn't enough. Mental illness is insidious in the ways it can warp people's thinking. Rationality starts to go out the window.
Saying "they don't want help" is just as dismissive and damaging as telling someone with depression that they should just be happy.
@Bdawg1226 I just skipped the dialogue and went right for the gameplay. So far so good, it's at 30fps so it looks a bit choppy and there's no anti-aliasing so there's tons of shimmering, but I'm mostly going to be playing handheld anyway so the shimmering won't bother me much.
My main concern right now is that we still don't have a Western release date.
Having played the demo (can't read Japanese so I just skipped the dialogue) from what I've seen this game is a full on sequel to Persona 5.
There's lots of big spoilers for the events of the original game in the demo alone.
@Bdawg1226
You got a source for this information, or is it all just speculation? Whenever I see people claim mainline Persona is Sony exclusive it's always just people speculating there's an exclusivity deal without any actual proof to back it up.
@HammerKirby It's mostly people who have become accustomed to having JRPGs on a portable console and they want one of the best ones from the recent console generation on a portable console.
I've beaten the game on PS4 and would still like a Switch port for the portability and convenience.
I got Joker, Banjo & Kazooie and Terry freaking Bogard. Anything else would have been icing on the cake.
I was a bit disappointed that it wasn't Dante like everyone thought it was going to be, but we've got 6 more characters on the way and the roster is already so far beyond what my wildest childhood dreams could have been... so I'm content.
@First_Amendment I don't know how you expect people to be able to read this mess. At least make the effort to break it up into paragraphs so it's legible.
It's not the overall length that matters to me in an old school platformer, it's the replayability.
Some of my favorite games of all time can be beaten within the space of an afternoon, but they often offer different routes or different ways to tackle parts of the game.
If Mega Man X (or even Shovel Knight) was 20-40 hours for a single playthrough it would have outstayed its welcome very quickly.
@kenyowa Anyone hating on the devs themselves are idiots. It's the suits in charge of the company that people should be angry with, not the people making the actual games.
Unfortunately said suits are untouchable and don't care what we or their employees think as long as they still have more money than any one person on the planet would know what to do with.
None of the games at Blizzcon even had tentative release dates.
These announcements were basically Blizzard dangling keys in front of everyone's faces in the hopes that people would forget about the whole Hong Kong fiasco.
If the reactions I've seen online are any indicator it worked.
RE5 is a great couch co-op game and I will always stand by that.
It's also so gloriously stupid and over the top that you can't help but laugh at it. The boulder scene is one of my fondest gaming memories. I laughed for a good 5 minutes straight.
@CoastersPaul He also cosplays as video game and anime characters for matches and has named some of his moves after games. Like the V-Trigger and his finisher The One Winged Angel.
Planescape: Torment has some of the most engrossing writing I've ever seen in a video game.
I'm curious how this will play on console though. Historically CRPG's don't make the transfer from M&KB to controller very well. (Knights of The Old Republic and Dragon Age: Origins being an example).
@nessisonett that boulder scene is honestly one of my favorite gaming memories.
It was just so silly and over the top that I couldn't help but break down laughing. I was playing co-op with a friend the first time I saw it and we ended up dying because I was on the floor, writhing in laughter unable to breathe.

@GamerDad66 Fortunately all the games in the collection are on the cart this time.

Re: Review: Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection - A Superb Selection Of Retro Classics
@Jokerwolf Zero 1 is such a brutal experience and actually killed my interest in the Zero series for years up until this collection.
Think I'll use save assist for now until I learn the games enough to be able to break them over my knee like I can with the first 4 X games.
Re: Review: Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection - A Superb Selection Of Retro Classics
@Dualmask The thing I remember throwing me off the most was the hitboxes were so much different with the Zero games compared to X4.
The Z-Saber doesn't have as much range as X4-6 Zero, so that's something I'll have to adjust to when my copy gets here.

Re: Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition Gets Rated In South Korea
Really looking forward to this. Never really got too far into the original on my Wii U.
The Xenoblade combat system is always difficult for me to wrap my head around.

Re: Netflix Raises Hell With Castlevania's Season 3 Trailer
Sypha is what would happen if Avatar: The Last Airbender was TV-MA.
Also I'm incredibly excited this is coming soon. Been patiently waiting since the end of season 2.
Re: Capcom's Third And Final Feature For Devil May Cry 3 On Switch Is Bloody Palace Local Co-Op
@Bizzyb No they wouldn't, you would need to download them off the Japanese Eshop.
The games come in English on the Japanese Eshop though, so it would work out.
Re: Atlus Says Its Survey Asking About Switch Ports Exceeded Expectations
Atlus: "Hey guys, do you want our games on Switch?"
Everyone: "YES! We've been asking for the last three years!"
Atlus: "Wow, really?
… you guys sure?"
Re: Bandai Namco Announces Dragon Ball FighterZ Season 3, Kefla Joins The Battle This Month
@Heavyarms55 I think she almost turned Super Saiyan once when she spilled her ice cream.
My memory is a bit fuzzy, I haven't watched GT since I was in high school about 16 years ago.

Ok that Amaterasu figure is adorable.

All of us: "Yes"

Re: Persona 5 Scramble Japanese Demo Goes Live On Nintendo Switch
@Bdawg1226 I personally do believe it'll eventually get ported, but if it doesn't oh well.
I'm more than happy to settle for Scramble in the meantime.
Re: Persona 5 Scramble Japanese Demo Goes Live On Nintendo Switch
@Bdawg1226 Final Fantasy was Nintendo exclusive until it wasn't. And then it was Sony exclusive until it wasn't.
There is a precedent for this sort of thing in gaming. Not saying it's likely, but never say never.

I'll be getting the pass eventually, but not immediately.
Holding off until the first character is out.
Re: Byleth Is Available In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Right Now
I like the character so far, a bit slow for my tastes though.
Insanely hard hitting, I was knocking characters off the map with that Down B when they were just at 20%.
Re: Skies Of Arcadia Dev "Really" Wants To Make A Sequel
Never played Skies of Arcadia, but I really want to.
Been hoping for this to get a port to a modern platform for a long time.

This is hilarious.
Personally I got Joker, Banjo & Kazooie and freaking Terry Bogard. So anything else on top of that would have just been icing on the cake.
Well there's still 6 more characters to come, so we'll see who they end up being.

Not even bothering to invade or destroy the planet because they know we'll eventually destroy ourselves anyway?

@SalvorHardin Kenny Omega is just a really big fan of Undertale. His entrance for his final match in New Japan was a direct reference to the game.
Re: Port Specialist Virtuos Convinced Obsidian To Bring The Outer Worlds To Switch
If it's a good port I'll gladly buy it. Been enjoying it through game pass, even if my PC isn't quite strong enough to play it at a solid frame rate.
Re: Modification Cards Designed For Nintendo's e-Reader Return In The Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection
I look forward to finally playing these games on a bigger screen than my 3DS and hopefully actually get good at them.
I adore Mega Man X, but the Zero games never quite clicked with me for some reason.
