Okay now get TP and Wind waker HD on the switch! Heck port over the 3DS versions of OOT and MM while you're at it! It's just not right that those aren't available on switch yet.

Honestly Skyward sword is my favorite of the 3D games! The whole world seems to want me to believe BOTW is the best ever but I just don't. This one has a real story and being first in the overall timeline it's significant and shouldn't be Missed. Plus I just adored the orchestrated soundtrack! BOTW is kinda disappointing by comparison.

Anyway seriously if you're on the fence just try it. It's sadly underrated. maybe now the motion controls won't have to turn you away this time since they are optional. I hope a few newcomers find their next favorite Zelda game.

It's a remake of a game that was good in the first place and it's been updated to be even better than before. Like duh of course it's good! Oh and besides that it's a zelda game. Have you ever heard of a zelda game that got bad reviews? I sure haven't and I've been around for every single one of them. Played them all too.

Maybe you don't like a certain one as much as another but a bad poorly made zelda game? There is no such thing. Also the CDi ones don't count so don't use that for an example.

I tried taking apart a joycon once and inside there's these really tiny ribbon cables that are extremely difficult to plug back into place if they get yanked out by mistake. The wire is so damn short you can't get a good enough grip on them with your fingers. serious design flaw right there!

I fought with it over an hour just trying to get the thing properly back together, so eventually i got it and said never again! I'll use the good old contact cleaner spray method before i ever open another joycon. It's just not worth the hassle.

Has there ever been a good Smurf game? Yeah I've loved the little critters since I was just a tiny kid but I've never enjoyed a game based on them. I heard Way forward did one a while back but I don't recall anyone talking about liking it. Plus it was based on those awful recent movies.

Every game controller with an analog stick will drift if it gets dirty enough. Nintendo never did anything about my N64, Gamecube, Wii or Wii U sticks drifting so why would they bother with switch?

It's real easy to fix yourself even if only a temporary solution with some contact cleaner spray under the plastic flaps beneath the sticks. If it starts drifting again give it another squirt. Real easy. No repair needed unless it's beyond simple drifting issues.

Nintendo is not going to spend the time or money to revise the controllers when they could just get you to buy another one or send your screwy one to them for a replacement.

As much as I enjoyed BOTW I do miss the traditional style of Zelda game. I don't want the series to stay forever locked in this wannabe assassin's Creed open world thing. You can have both. A more focused narrative and better plot is more enjoyable if you ask me. As for the art I thought people liked a more colorful Zelda. Everybody moaned about Twilight princess being too dark and ugly because of the realistic approach. I personally loved the look of TP!

Anyway is it July 16th yet?

I still love it on Wii warts and all. If these changes and updates will get more people to play it I'm all for it. Too many passed on it first time around and it's a crying shame. You all who did don't know the fun you missed out on. This is a fantastic entry in the series!

Please play it if you didn't before. I don't think you'll regret it. You may even love it.

My switch hasn't left the dock in months. I used to play handheld but then i'm like i got a nice big TV why am i playing on this tiny thing?

Such an underrated gem! For those who didn't play it because of the motion controls or just couldn't be bothered to finish it I envy you. This is one of those games I'd love to experience for the first time all over again.

Wish I had one of those men in black memory flashy things. I adore this game!

Sorry I've been playing videogames for 42 years i forgot what reality is. I think it's something i try to avoid as much as i can so i game to get away from it.

So the fact that the switch still doesn't have a new DK game of any kind doesn't bother you in the slightest? Every Nintendo system thus far since the Nes has had one or two. Even gamecube got jungle beat. Tropical freeze is a wii u game so it doesn't count.

Woopie three games! 35 years of zelda and switch has three of them available from an app that's locked under a pay wall. Would it kill them to add N64?
I guess you can buy and own breath of the wild, Links awakening and soon skyward sword so that's something.

I've never seen so many people frothing at the mouth over some rumor they read on the internet. Then going so far as to say they'd call it new Nintendo switch or Switch pro or it'll be as powerful as PS5 blah blah blah! Writing articles about it every week isn't going to make it suddenly become real so on behalf of all of us who are sick and tired of the BS, KNOCK IT OFF!

Now go play your plain old boring regular switch and be happy you have that.

The switch pro was never a thing. It's just some nerd in his mom's basement having a laugh, he spread the rumor and sites like this fell for it. It's called click bait. Nothing more!

At this point what is the point? The true successor is likely right around the corner anyway. Give or take a couple years. Can't you people wait?

I recently played the original again and soon I'll get started on the 2nd one. I hope the third one sells well so the series can continue.

Sounds like your kids would rather watch videos than play games. Should have bought them a fire stick instead. They are probably watching those stupid let's plays instead of actually playing games.

In my day we played games on our game systems. We have plenty of other devices to watch the garbage on Netflix or whatever you have. Why would I wanna waste my switch to watch movies when I could be gaming on it?

Funny how this site always finds an excuse to write articles about earthbound despite there being no actual news that's really noteworthy like new games in development or mother 3 being localized. Keep that dead franchise alive i guess!

Yeah I totally forgot about that. The other day I was playing and tried to create a team of Mario, Luigi and peach but it wouldn't let me. You have to put at least one rabbid character in your group. I was like seriously? I hope that is an option this time.

I recently got back into the first one after the announcement. Gotta finally finish all those extra challenges and unlock everything. One of the biggest surprises on switch that nobody thought would be good. Definitely a hidden gem in the library!

I've been able to download again for almost a week but maybe now it's working for everyone. I thought fixing the problem would have required another firmware update but apparently not. I'll be alot more hesitant to download future updates from now on that's for sure.

Stability my butt!

Star fox zero was not the train wreck it's made out to be but it would be nice to have a simple straightforward control scheme without the gimmicky stuff. I hate when they had the DS and those touch controls were shoved down everyones throats.

I was gonna pass on this but now I'm rethinking that. With so many metroidvanias it's hard to know which ones stand out or are worthy of your time.

Still got my Wii U and when the mood strikes I'll keep playing it. If you think it's a bad system you weren't around for stuff like sega saturn, Virtual boy or Atari Jaquar. Dark times indeed.

Oh and Wii U had a Virtual console where you could buy Nes, Snes, N64, GBA and turbografx games and they weren't tied to some online subscription service either.

Any system with all that available on it can't be bad! Heck a modded one is even better! You can put anything from NES on up to Wii U on there making it the ultimate Nintendo retro box!

What the hell is a V tuber?

I just remember a friend telling me about the code back in the Nes days. I also remember seeing it in Nintendo power so that's probably where my buddy heard about it. I always wondered if that was somebody who made the game but you also hear the one about Just in bailey meaning just in a bathing suit or something.

Still remember my mom getting down on the floor to play tony hawk with me and my brother as teens. She never had touched a videogame in her life and she was actually doing pretty well too! Good times!

I don't care what anyone says. I still had alot of good times with my Wii U and hey it's got Virtual console and you get to keep the games and play them without being connected to the internet. Switch online just isn't the same. It's a rental service. Basically netflix for games and that just sucks.

Bought those on my Wii U years ago. Heck i still have my GBA carts. Since the announcement I've gone Metroid crazy! I'm currently doing a run of the entire series. All except the spinoffs. I will probably go through the prime games too but i was kinda hoping the trilogy would be on switch at some point before Prime 4 releases. It has to right? It just makes sense.

My mom let me pick either an N64 or playstation for my 18th birthday. Two neighbor kids I was friends with back then kept telling me I should get a playstation because discs were better and N64 was for babies. I chose N64 and I stand by my decision! I bet you can guess which game made me choose N64.

Oh and I still have the very same one. Best birthday ever!

This series was mediocre to begin with. Never got What was so great about it.

I thought metroid dread was the most talked about. BOTW 2 is neat and all but it's a bit longer of a wait. There's not much to say other than what's the title and when can i play it.

The best 2D sonic is Sonic 3 with knuckles duh! No other answer is acceptable. Sonic mania is really close though.

The Japan one is rather boring. She's in the same pose almost from return of samus and there's too much red.

Metroid marathon! I'll be playing the whole series Prime and other m included. Obviously that'll take more than a weekend but I've got until october for Metroid dread so that's plenty of time.

Ugh! This is just like those people who go around predicting when the world will end then when the date they said arrives and nothing happens they say oh well actually it'll be next month, No the month after that, No seriously the month after that! I really mean it this time. I'm super cerial!

Why do people always act like 2-D games should only be cheap? As if somehow it's a lesser quality game because it's made in the old style of pixel art or side scrolling. Alot of modern fancy 3D games aren't worth 30 bucks but they always slap those with the standard 60 dollar price tag and nobody complains.

A new modern high profile game comes out and everyone is like shut up and take my money!

I don't get it. If your old school 2D game is well made and loaded with content then surely it's worth a higher price. You can beat Donkey Kong country in an hour but you still had to pay 60 dollars. I don't recall people throwing a fit over that.

People have been saying Nintendo was behind the times since the N64. Everyone and their brother was so convinced we were getting a switch pro. Thanks largely to sites like this posting daily click bait articles about it and how it totally must exist because the internet rumor mill said so.

that'll just make more people cry foul. Investors will start their talk about how Nintendo needs to upgrade or they'll be irrelevent in a year blah blah blah. I've heard it all so many times before and the funny thing is Nintendo is still standing.

If it's mostly about a new switch and 3 noteworthy games I'll puke.

If it's about a DKC sequel, BOTW 2, Mario Galaxy 3, Bayonetta 3 and Metroid Prime 4 I'll die of a heart attack right there.
