I am so behind on this series. Played the first one lots of times and finished the second. I got the third game on my Wii U but haven't touched it yet and the rest well i'm not starting those until i get caught up. Maybe i better get on that.

I remember this commercial but had no idea that was paul Rudd. I don't think anybody else did either. He wasn't famous yet. I know there's an old Atari Pitfall commercial with Jack black at 12 or something.

So sick of these rumors. Unless the Halo collection is coming to switch or Banjo Threeie who cares? I don't see that happening ever.

I use a program called Hackchi on mine. It lets you install emulators and other mods to your mini. Then you just add whatever games you want. There's tons of videos about how it's done on youtube. It's really simple too. I never modded a console in my life and after watching the tutorials i had it done in 10 minutes!

Yep! Everything from Atari 2600 on up to at least the 16-bit systems will run on it! I've even got some turbo grafx and PS1 games like mega man X4 and Rondo of blood working just fine.

Don't bother with N64 though. The mini systems just don't have the power for that.

Well great. I have the cart too but now it's an inferior version. That's just wonderful. Guess i can always add the patched version to my Snes Mini. Think I'll go do that.

I gotta be honest. I'm glad the first movie succeeded but at the same time i thought it could have been better. Hoping the sequel is one of those sequels that tops the original.

Technically yes but If you're not using the roms for personal gain who's gonna know? Just don't try to sell them or distribute them and you're good. Unless you really have a moral objection.

since this site likes to talk about hacks and mods so much heck you might as well post a link to the sites with the translated rom! Oh i forgot it's only against policy if users mention that stuff.
It's all good. I already bought my repro cart years ago. You people still waiting for an official release might be toothless old farts by the time Nintendo localises it. Good luck with that!

I've seen that in alot of Nintendo games. Mario galaxy 2 and I'm pretty sure DKC tropical freeze asked me to take a break. I was like hey game I'll take a break when I'm good and ready!

Strangely i don't recall any game on playstation ever suggesting i take a break. Maybe in the games booklet but not the game itself.

Heh double dash! Is it just me or is that one underrated?

They're going to have to come up with something pretty special to make mario kart 9 stand out. Otherwise it's just another mario kart.

Oh and before you go.... but the controls. Who here bothered to press the select button and see what that does? Instant cockpit view right on your tv eliminating the need to aim with the gamepad. Even this sites own review on the game failed to mention that.

Oh and since I'm guessing alot of you never finished it there's a nice tribute to Iwata in the credits. It reads, "This game is dedicated to our wingman who fell in battle" That was really sweet!

I'm more curious about how the Genesis largely had awful music by comparison. I mean all that blast processing and they couldn't figure out how to make it have good sound quality?

Yeah okay a small handfull of genesis games had amazing music I'll give it that.

How bout those people who want mother 3 so bad just emulate it or get a repro cart online. It's not hard. I got tired of waiting so that's exactly what i did! Yeah maybe it's a little underhanded but so is not releasing the game so people can legit buy the thing.

Make it available and I'll gladly pay for it but until then i don't feel one bit guilty.

Actually it's time for mario's sonic mania moment. As in a brand new 2-D mario game that stays true to the early games but offers something fresh and original much like sonic mania did. No more mario maker and for goodness sakes no more NSMB!

Call it super mario mania! I mean duh right?

Oh and speaking of which can we get sonic mania 2 already?

At least Sony fans weren't left out. They couldn't even get Cyberpunk to run right on their super ultra high tech system.

I knew the part about Nes and snes aren't streaming but like you said after a while it still requires that you be online. On VC i could download the games to my system and never be online again to play them. That way unless your games get deleted you can own them forever. Once the switch online dies that's it the games are gone! That's the part that i don't like.

I was excited to try this one. I've never played it before and I'd like my first time to leave a good impression so I'll wait. If the issues are resolved I'll definitely buy it. Good on the developers for caring enough to investigate. Here's hoping it's fixed.

Maybe I'm a dinosaur from a bygone era but i don't play games online. Didn't need to then and don't now. Forcing me to be online to play Nes and snes games is beyond stupid. Let alone expecting me to pay for a subscription to do so.

Gee i wonder why it's getting disliked? Maybe because it sucks. I mean this far along and no N64 or even Gamecube games which btw have still to this day not been offered in any digital form? Oh and don't even get me started on the subscription only bs and killing the VC. I guess wanting to actually own the games is asking too much so here you can rent them for a monthly fee. All that money i spent on VC games. Yeah I'll dislike that!

Didn't any Nintendo fan or gamer with a brain stem already own those games on 3D all stars anyway? If you didn't already download it on switch by now that's your loss.

As horrified as i was upon learning that Metroid would become a third person shooter i think i really prefer it that way now. The prime series along with Wind waker are two times i was proven wrong about what i thought i wanted. Sometimes it's good to just let the developers make the game they wanna make. You might be pleasantly surprised!

As for this mockery of a legit metroid game i say bah! Get your own ideas and stop ripping off the work of others you hacks!

I'll gladly try a game you created if it's your own thing and not some copycat business.

Yeah no kidding right? Neither of those even to this day have made it to a Nintendo system. We got Dracula x on snes but as good as I honestly think it is Rondo it ain't.

Pretty sure the worst is the castlevania adventure on Gameboy. The music was pretty good though. You can already enjoy that steaming turd on the castlevania collection on switch.

This limited thing is just really stupid. Hell the whole Nintendo online service has been a joke. Renting Nes and snes games through an app on your switch instead of oh i don't know being able to buy them and keep them forever!

Yeah I'm still mad about the virtual console getting the axe. I bought over 300 games on the Wii and how much money i must have spent i don't even want to know.

The switch might be Nintendo's biggest seller to date but it ain't perfect. Not even close.

I may have to check that out. This is the first time I've heard anything about super mario world having flaws. Platformers especially of the 16-bit variety don't often get brought up when you hear about games with slowdown. Oh and it's super mario world! Everybody loves this one.

As a kid when games seemed to slow down like that i just thought that's the way the games were supposed to be. In Axelay, Contra 3 and Gradius 3 it never really bothered me. Now Mega man 3 however that was definitely an issue! Especially while fighting Needle man.

So what's this about super Mario world having slowdown? I certainly never noticed that. Can anyone tell me at what point it ran slower than it should have?

It's God of war 2-D! Looks kinda cool I guess.

Probably the best RPG on gamecube! I need to replay this one. It's been far too long.

Will be downloading soon but I still say removing it is really dumb. What do i know though. Anybody else miss the virtual console? I hear the first fire emblem is really hard. Is that true? I've played both genesis shining force games without too much trouble.

I don't get the limited thing anyway. Just like that original Nes fire emblem. Why the hell would they remove these games after a certain date? It's ludacris!

I've never played any of the four swords games simply because they are multi player focused. Sure I'd like to try but who has four friends who like zelda? I certainly don't.

It was like being a fan of star wars as a kid. You were lucky if anyone wanted to watch it with you.

Mario 64 used to make me dizzy and close to throwing up. My brain couldn't handle seeing mario in 3D i guess.

Hell every videogame I've ever bought had a warning either in the manual or the game itself about seizures and possibility of nausea. Why is this news? Have we never played a videogame before? I mean duh!

Can't wait! Guess it's a good time to do another run of the first game in preparation. Dare I say I had more fun with it than the original Metroid? Yes I believe I did! Hope the soundtrack in the sequel is just as amazing!

I don't see the big deal myself. I have the original xbox version anyway and the sigma ones have good things too. For one I prefer having the blue classic nes costume and I'm pretty sure that's absent from the non sigma releases. Also I don't think anyone wants the original version of Ninja Gaiden 3. What a disaster!

As for Nes, Snes and N64 I never kept the boxes. They we're paper and usually those just got thrown away. I kept the manuals though. I do have a few of my GBA boxes that I held on to. I guess the original packaging wasn't that big a deal for me as a kid.

I tried that once on my switch and PS4. Didn't do a damn thing! Lesson learned.

Thanks I'll try that. I've been toying with the idea of a range extender for months! Perhaps that's the fix i need.

Well i have been having strange connection issues in my bedroom where i play my switch. I have a PS4 in there also that's connected to wi-fi and it almost never loses contact. The switch on the other hand barely has one bar of strength most of the time undocked and when docked it's a total crap shoot. Sometimes it stays connected other times i can't get a signal for the life of me!

My room is kinda far from my router so maybe that's the problem.

My biggest problem is trying to get a wi-fi signal while docked. I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure the dock shouldn't be blocking the signal yet apparently it's causing issues. I have no trouble getting it going while in handheld mode.

This guy proves that not all long haired unshaven guys are pathetic losers. This dude will brighten anybody's day with his musical talents and dedication. Anytime I need a pick me up I just check out his youtube channel. Plus I love how he has such a crush on his kitty's! Keep on Grooving!

This game came out so long ago I figured at this point it wasn't getting DLC. I mean what are they waiting for?

He so belongs in smash! I don't care if there already is another Ryu! This Ryu could whipe the floor with that Ryu's guts! Besides Ninjas rule! Oh and the Nes is where most fans were introduced to this guy. It's only fitting he should get the invite.
