Re: Switch Owner Claims To Have Taken Nintendo To Court Over Joy-Con Drift, And Won

Zeldafan79

I've had two pairs of joycons since launch that started drifting really bad pretty early on and after using the contact cleaner method it worked. Yeah the problem did eventually come back but it's only every few months. I can live with that. These things ain't cheap and I'd rather do that than buy new ones so they can start drifting too. I even have a pro controller that started drifting. It ain't just the joycons. Luckily those things don't cost a pantload!

Re: Anniversary: Super Mario Maker Turns 5 Years Old Today

Zeldafan79

@IronMan30
I made a few levels and it was fun trying to see what i could create myself but the randomly generated thing is what i didn't like. about 90% of the time they just seemed awful. Searching for specific users stages was the only way to go. Otherwise it wasn't fun for very long.

Re: Anniversary: Super Mario Maker Turns 5 Years Old Today

Zeldafan79

@IronMan30
I can't even count how many times I'd load up a level and shortly after starting I'd be skipping them because of the bullcrap design. Nothing but troll courses or otherwise poorly crafted BS. I'm like Nope, Nope, Nope, and Nope! I just want back a real 2D mario made by Nintendo.

Re: Video: Take A Closer Look At The New Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros. System

Zeldafan79

How many of you actually owned one of these things back in the day? I sure did! I also remember having those tiger handhelds. I had three games. Karate King, Ninja Gaiden and Double dragon 2! I begged and begged for a Gameboy but at the time it was all my mom could afford. These kids today gotta have games bought for them like candy but in my day we were lucky to have a hand full.

I later eventually for my 12th birthday got my gameboy but before that it was the basic LCD handhelds. Surprisingly it made me happy even if it was a poor kids gameboy.

Re: Rumour: A New Ninja Gaiden Trilogy Could Be Coming To Switch Next Year

Zeldafan79

I don't care if it's modern trilogy or Nes. I love them both! It took years of practice and a whole lot of patience and pattern memorization but i can now beat the Nes series with ease. It's the kind of games that'll kick your ass and you'll say thank you may i have another? The music and gameplay made the games hard to put down.

As for the modern series i love the bad ass combat and the feeling of being basically a super Ninja! When you get really good at the game it's very rewarding! Oh and Razors edge is not bad. The vanilla standard version was the travesty. It's what the game should have been to begin with.

Hope this rumor becomes a reality!

Re: Nintendo Announces Super Mario Remasters In Super Mario Bros. 35th Anniversary Direct

Zeldafan79

I doubted this 3D collection was real but I'm glad i was wrong! I own and have completed every single Main series mario game to date including the RPG's. Well i still have yet to play Mario and Luigi paper Jam but that's the only one i haven't got around to yet.

If nothing else at least this finally gets mario sunshine out there again for those who missed it! Also it's unfortunite that the 3D all stars won't include mario galaxy 2 but whatever. Still happy about this!

Re: Platinum Celebrates The First Anniversary Of Its Switch Exclusive Astral Chain

Zeldafan79

I only just finally played astral chain last may and i had a really good time with it. The combat style took some getting used to. It's not exactly like bayonetta so don't go in expecting that. There were stages that involved stealth that got pretty annoying and the detective segments sometimes seemed to drag on too long. If it was just a straight up action game i probably would have enjoyed it more but overall it was a fun time. I'd welcome a sequel if the gripes i mentioned were ironed out a bit.

Re: Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid Saga Continues Is Coming To Switch This October

Zeldafan79

The karate kid movies have always been special to me. As a kid i was bullied like Daniel and i really identified with the character. It even inspired me to take Karate classes myself. I never got that good at it but it sure did wonders for my self esteem!

As for this game yeah I'll probably wait for some reviews but if it gets anything close to a decent score I'll likely check it out. Oh and for those on the fence about the show don't be. It's totally respectful to the movies and you might as well call it Karate Kid 4 unless you count the one with the girl. Doesn't feel like a spin off at all. Now bring on season 3!

Re: Listing For Prince Of Persia Remake On Nintendo Switch Appears Online

Zeldafan79

Love the sands of time series! Not just the main trilogy either but forgotten sands on wii and PS3 which are actually two entirely different games but still part of the sands of time saga. Sadly people thought those were movie tie ins with the film that released that same year and they were largely ignored. That couldn't be further from the truth. They were legit sequels!

Anyway i hope this rumor is true! A remake seems unneccesary but a modern follow up would be sweet! A new POP with today's graphics? Sign me up!

Re: PlatinumGames Opens Its Own Merch Store, Kicks Things Off With Masks And Logo Tee

Zeldafan79

I was at a Pizza hut recently and people were walking in the building left and right with no masks and not a single one was told to leave. It's just antagonistic and bound to piss people off. The store owners don't wanna deal with it so they let it slide i guess. They don't want a bunch of riff raff or fights breaking out.

I live in Indiana and it's about 50/50. Department stores like Payless, Walmart, Target etc enforce it but where i live there's several restaurants that clearly just don't care.

Re: PlatinumGames Opens Its Own Merch Store, Kicks Things Off With Masks And Logo Tee

Zeldafan79

It's gotten to the point now where it's more like a mask fetish. I've seen people driving or jogging down the street and no where near another living person for miles and wearing masks. When you're doing that it's not for safety. It's a fashion statement. Not to mention restaurants forcing you to wear them while entering the building but not caring if you take them off afterward once you're seated at your table. It's also confusing when some places don't even have the signs on their doors demanding masks but others do. It's like no wonder nobody gives a crap. The rules are different everywhere you go. It's nonsense.

Re: Shigesato Itoi's Company Reveals New Mother Themed Merch

Zeldafan79

Stop teasing us about mother! There likely won't ever be another sequel or heck even a compilation of the existing games yet everytime Shigesato Itoi farts we gotta hear about it.

Let us know when Earthbound is coming to switch or god forbid a U.S. release of mother 3 and then I'll get excited. Mother Nicknacks and do dads ain't gonna cut it, Sorry.

Re: Rumour: Is The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Taking To The Skies On Nintendo Switch?

Zeldafan79

I'm all for skyward sword on switch! Love it! Probably more than BOTW honestly. It actually had a plot and real dungeons for one thing. Oh and i know some of you out there who haven't played it think they can just eliminate the motion controls but trust me that ain't happening. The game would literally be impossible without them. The entire thing is based around motion controls.

Re: Random: At One Point, The Triforce May Have Been Collectable In Zelda: Ocarina Of Time

Zeldafan79

I still have an old 1998 issue of Nintendo power magazine from before the game actually released with early build screenshots of the game and in one particular scene you can clearly see Link stepping up to a pedestal where the triforce is sitting as if to claim it. There's also a scene of a village that looks nothing like anything that exists in the final game. Probably what eventually became Kakariko village. Not a stretch to believe the triforce was once obtainable.

Re: Random: Nintendo Tweaks Mario's Nipples

Zeldafan79

I forget. Did Link in BOTW have nipples? I guess i never stared at his bare chest long enough to remember. It is funny though how just because a woman's are bigger and produce milk they somehow became naughty but on a man it's like, See my chest! See my chest! See my chest while you waltz down the public street shirtless.

Nobody cares cause you're a dude! Those things on your chest might as well be ears!

Re: GoldenEye 25 Shuts Down After Cease And Desist From 007 IP Holder

Zeldafan79

I do get sick of hearing about these illegal fan remakes. I mean duh of course you'd get shut down! What did you think was gonna happen? If you want to make a videogame come up with your own damn ideas and don't be stealing from other peoples work!

The ones that really burn me up is when they use the original assets, music or sprites from whatever game. Then play dumb when they get shut down. These people are simply put, morons.

Re: GoldenEye 25 Shuts Down After Cease And Desist From 007 IP Holder

Zeldafan79

They already made an official remake of this not all that long ago on Wii. The One where they swapped out Pierce brosnan for Daniel craig. It still holds up pretty well even today and it's quite good actually. Unless you really hate Daniel craig or something check it out. Those of you who still have a wii that is.

Re: Paper Mario Producer Says "It's A Necessity" To Change The Combat System In Every Entry

Zeldafan79

I can deal with every entry being different and even not having the same combat system every game but what i can't figure out is these lame restrictions on characters. Why from 1995 (Mario RPG) to 2004 TTYD was it perfectly okay to have the likes of Geno, Mallow, Bow, Watt, Sushie or that one with the Giant Rack Flurrie?

Those games had the charm and fun that they did because of those made up non Mario universe characters. Suddenly now that's not allowed? Nearly a whole decade of made up not specifically mario characters in these games. I don't get it.

Way to suck the fun right outta paper mario.

Re: PlatinumGames Has No Idea If Star Fox Zero Will Be Ported To Switch

Zeldafan79

I for one welcome a re release of this game! Sure it had it's issues but i still quite enjoyed it. Oh and just a little P.S.A. for those who couldn't handle the awkward gamepad aiming thing. I bet you didn't know you can switch to cockpit view just by pressing select which puts it right up on your TV screen. It totally eliminates the need to look down at the gamepad while aiming. This sites very own review of the game failed to mention that.

There you go. Problem solved!

Oh and for those who actually finished the game in the credits there's a little touching tribute to Iwata. It reads, This game is dedicated to our wingman who fell in battle. Neat huh?

Re: The LEGO Nintendo Entertainment System Is Now Available For Purchase

Zeldafan79

As cute as this is I'd rather have a real working Lego Nes. If you can make one of those out of Lego then I'll be impressed. You could probably buy used copy's of every travellers tales Lego game and still wouldn't spend the amount of money this thing costs.

Besides i got into this gaming thing to play games. Not stare at something that looks like a machine that plays games.
