It’s been 84 years!! I couldn’t be happier!!

I am all in!! Super excited for the new “world” concept. I think the eind visuals will look beter then what we just saw.

I would be over the moon if “switch 2” launched with a proper 3d dk (or if it releases quickly). Bring back the crocodile, with a charming hub world, beautiful levels and solve the issues that dk 64 had with backtracking and collecting (Although I still love this game so much).

I will grab some popcorn in case “a certain sequel” is not announced.

I feel so dissapointed by a franchise I used to love so much. I just don’t care anymore.

This almost confirms what I believed for a long time. Nintendo wasn't lying when they told us the switch was at the half of it's cycle (in 2022). I am excited, but also won't get my hopes up too much.

I thought it was a really nice recap trailer. Had a little bit of a “direct” vibe with the voice over.

I just like specific dungeon items which also opens op more off the map as you progress. In BOTW you got your abilities in the beginning and the progress is mostly made by weapons and hearts/stamina. I still believe BOTW is amazing, but if they would implement a combination off abilities and items and dungeons and a dark and cool story it could in my opinion be the best zelda game ever!

The dungeons in BOTW and the shrines mostly had the same theme. I would love more variation on this front.

Still no confirmation about dungeons. This gameplay is cool, but could all kind off been guessed by the trailers. I am a die hard zelda fan, but BOTW didn’t have that special spark for me. I want to be intrigued by TOTK!

Although E3 might be less relevant. This year made clear how much I missed it. It's nice to know that everything will be centered around E3. Especially this year with the ''lack'' of Nintendo.

What if Nintendo does this (leaking wrong or incomplete information) on purpuse, just to blow us away with a regular direct? Or at least make a statement that insiders don’t have much information about Nintendo’s own games. Just on 3th parties.

I am also expecting a “partner” direct, just to make it less hard when they actually announce it.

For years I have been hoping a new 3D DK game would be announced. So with the rumours from last year and this year the waiting game is hard.

E3 was the only time we knew a Nintendo direct was coming weeks/months before. I still think it’s happening but I miss that certainty this year.

It's at this point wishfull thinking that the're developping a brand new game. It could have so much potential with de hardware from the switch in comparison with the 3ds.

It would be nice to have a update in which we are reminded that progress is going well. The fact that we didn’t hear about Silksong for so long is at least a little concerning. I personally believe it is still going well. Just taking longer because they are making it a lot bigger (I hope).

Hollow knight Silksong. Just take your time guys. I want it to be the best it can be. Late 2022 or even 2023 is fine by me.

This is very exciting. Always wanted to play the great Ace Attorney games. Still hoping for an AA7 announcement (which was also in de data leak).

I would like our “holiday for games” back. I could live with an all digital event, altough the ambiance from live showes is also part of the fun.

I think the saturation point hasn't been met.
If 2021 is full of brand new games, I think it will surpass 2020.

If they stop doing general directs, they at least need to announce that a new game is coming. This way you can watch the trailer and still be surprised. I am glad they did announce this with SM3W. In this case it was also better to say wich game.
I just miss the feeling of surprise and not knowing what to get with their approach last year. I definitely miss the ''one last thing''.

If there is more then one island per console, sales will decline.
A lot of people don't need a second version any more.

Not a fan of one island per console, but it's a working business strategy.

What a bummer that it is not (yet) officially announced.

The feeling I got when playing red for the first time is among the best of all my gaming memories. They nailed everything. The challenge was so good. That is what kills the current gen for me. it’s just to easy. The graphics are not my greatest problem. Look at what Red and Blue could offer on very limited hardware.

Exactly. BOTW is a sales beast. It legs are amazing for a zelda game. It sold 1.19 this quarter vs 0.65 for odyssey.

It could never hold up to the “big boys” but now it can!

The first time I saw the switch it immediately ''clicked''.

Switch will be here for the long run. And hopefully Nintendo can improve their game output soon.
I personally am praying for a proper DK64 sequel for years now. So much potential if they implement less backtracking.

I wouldn’t mind if the second half contains a lot less. I think we all just want something to look forward too (and I wouldn’t mind footage without a release). Definitelly because this is the most unpredictable time because they released most of the “logic” franchises on the switch. I am so curious that this waiting game is tough. I also hope that they can maintain the momentum they currently have with the switch.

I am starting to think that de release scedule would still be lacking even if this was a “normal” year. The transition from 2 devices to 1 looks harder than most assumed for their output of games.

It's the feeling of not knowing what to expect, while being able to prepare for it. A drop like Paper Mario doesn't have the same appeal for me either. It's the first time my girlfriend find out about a new nintendo game before I did.

I don’t mind waiting longer for this one. Make it good!

I find it interesting that people would rather not wait a few weeks, because normally a large part of this crowd would have bought the original switch this week
