Honorable mention for Alien Hominid, maybe the first indie game on a Nintendo system

It really hurts to see someone I’ve supported use words like “porch monkey” and “jewed” and make jokes about black people being criminals. I get it, they’re meant as jokes, whatever. I’m from a mixed family... my sister is black, most of my family is Jewish... and this stuff hurts.

It’s so crazy how people think reviewers get paid to give good reviews. 2K could care less. When I was reviewing games I got a Dragon’s Lair Trilogy memo pad and that was after the review came out!

@PortablexombieV2 Fair, but all they need is an email address to start this game. The rest of the information that you can give them is optional. I don’t think it’s too big of a deal to just give them my email.

I don’t get why this is a big deal. I signed up for an account without even having to go to the website. I just did it through the game. It’s a DRM thing? Ok, that’s dumb maybe, but I still don’t get all the fuss. I’m over here playing Doom and having the time of my life!

I agree with the majority of commenters here. Barring those who haven’t released a game before except in specific circumstances seems wise to me. It may be a blanket way of dealing with it, but it sounds like a good general rule. Plus, it’s been reported before that this is one of Nintendo’s guidelines.

I was disappointed when the Smash reveal wasn’t tied to a new Banjo game, or even an HD remaster. I would love to revisit this series.

I am really liking it. I think we switch gamers are pretty tolerant of these shortcomings. I’ve only noticed a few glitches / rough patches that stood out or affected my enjoyment.

A lot of people I think are confusing the design choices in the sonic movie for laziness. They’re intentional, and they’re not great. It’s like when the directors of the Mario movie decided to make the Mushroom Kingdom into a dark gritty dystopia. At least the rest of it looks like a banal kids movie, destined to be forgotten.

I remember when I first started writing for Nintendo Life back in 2009 or 2010. I had mostly stopped paying attention to video games and I needed to do a lot of research to catch up. Two of the first series about which I saw news stories on here, and which I hadn’t even heard of before, were Phoenix Wright and Professor Layton. So they’ve always occupied a weird space in my brain. I never got around to playing any of the entries on DS or 3DS, but now that Phoenix and potentially this are coming to Switch, I feel excited and almost obligated to play them. I’m glad to finally be giving these series a try!
