One of the standout games on the Switch is Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. Since launching in August 2017, the Ubisoft title has had tremendous success, shifting more than two million copies worldwide. If you haven't already played this game, now is the perfect opportunity.
In celebration of its two year anniversary - the game, its season pass and all of the DLC for it is currently on sale on the eShop. The season pass is £9.59 / $13.39, the Donkey Kong Adventure DLC is going for £7.19 / $10.04, the regular game is down to £14.99 / $19.79 and the Gold Edition is priced at £22.49 / $26.39. You can also get the Pixel Pack for £2.49 / $2.99 and the Ultra Challenge Pack for £5.80 / $6.99.
So, again, if you haven't already bought this game - now might be time to finally check it out. The sale ends on 10th September. Ubisoft's Rabbids Twitter account also shared the following message:

Great game absolutely! But with almost no replay-ability. I found there was really only a few right ways to play through levels, and finding the way to win was real fun but that's pretty much a one time thing. Totally worth that one playthrough though, it's long enough to be worth it.
@Patron I don't understand remotely your hate to FE3H, it was an awesome game, I have to wonder if your comment is just trying to pick a fight? You're not required to like the game but it's certainly NOT unplayable by any stretch of the imagination.
@heavyarms55, I feel like I saw this person in another article a few days ago. If this is some kind of sarcasm or something? I haven't played FE three houses so I'm in no way entitled to an opinion.
@Lucarianzx Oh, is this that person who made up that nonsense about FE3H being a catastrophic failure? Lol, that explains it. Definite troll.
FE3H is very solid, a lot of fun all around and has some of the best sales the series has ever experienced. To call it a failure is just factually wrong. There is no measure you can reasonably make for that argument. It launched as best seller of the week all over the world, and has sold extremely well over all, it's gotten rave reviews all over. It's not a perfect game and not for everyone, but certainly not a failure or unplayable!
Back on topic, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is great and on sale like this I absolutely recommend it despite it's lack of replayability because the game play is very solid, the visuals are real nice and it's just darn fun!
Mario + Rabbids is my favorite Switch game so far. I might finally get the DK Adventure for that price!
Highly recommended pickup if you haven’t played it yet!
Game is constantly on sale and well worth it for Mario and or xcom fans.
Game is dope, well exceeded my expectations. I'm not a huge fan of the rabbids and their toilet humor but the gameplay was so good that I didn't mind. Totally recommend picking this up if you haven't played already.
Two years?!? Time is flying by. 😟
I love this game and would definitely love a sequel, especially if it did crossovers with some other Nintendo franchises as well. Just imagine a Rabbid Link.
One of my favourite games. I do wish there was an option to just play each level though - wandering around for the additional challenges is a bore.
Also the Donkey Kong DLC is not as balanced as the main game - your characters are far too powerful.
But that said, it’s a gem, and at a discount it’s an utter bargain!
I kind of want to try this...but I have so little time.
Also, I'd encourage everyone to hit the ignore button on @Patron 's posts if they bother you.
I really need to buy this game. This looks so good, and the price finally is compelling me to get it.
As a longtime Fire Emblem fan ... I have to agree that Kingdom Battle is simply the better game. It's got a lot more strategy content, whereas Three Houses reuses the same maps so many times that even a single route of Fates has more maps than the entirety of Three Houses. Awakening has more maps. Heck, the very first game we got in the west, FE7, has more maps than Three Houses. And Hector Mode in that game has more maps unique to it than most routes of Three Houses compared to each other.
Equally important, though, the maps in Mario + Rabbids are just better. They're actually designed very thoughtfully around the player's movement options, leading to satisfying strategies for quick clears. Three Houses, in contrast, feels as though the map designer and abilities designer had a grudge and couldn't stand communicating with each other. The number of maps in Three Houses that are absolutely cheesed by some combination of Stride, Flying, Warp, and Dance is shameful.
As a result, Rabbids feels like a constantly evolving game with new enemies and obstacles that actually impact your strategy, whereas Three Houses is a game that can, on Hard mode, be beaten at least 90% of the way with just the main character - and the other 10% I haven't actually solo'd yet, can at least be done with the aforementioned buddy units to dance/warp/stride your main character once.
All these packs and gold editions and pixel packs and tackon content is really confusing.
@Heavyarms55 IKR!?!?!? I think the game would have been better with more RPG elements. Like allowing you to upgrade weapons, or level up your characters. As well as if they actually let you play with a party of any characters in the game, I can understand why they would force players to have 1 rabbid on the team (Since anyone who plays this game's first thought is to make a full Mario team with no Rabbids) but in that case just add unique abilities to the Rabbis that would make people want to mix them in with other Mario characters. And lastly, there should have been a randomly generated gauntlet mode or something. Or perhaps a survival mode, or just some mode that offers more than the content in the story, which once you've beaten (All on Perfect) you have no reason to want to try those fights again. Even a Boss Rush mode would have been cool.
@kepsux Not at all. The Pixel Pack is just 8-bit styles weapons. The DK pack is a brand new story mode. Ultra Challenge Pack offers a variety of new challenges to play. And the God Edition of the game gives you the full game, as well as the other 3 packs included in it.
@patbacknitro18 Alternate routes or maps would have been nice and more character customization beyond "get Luigi, give Luigi best gun you can afford, next!"
That would have made the game have more replay value. Maybe your first run you play through with a standard team, then next time you try to go shotgun heavy, then a following run, Rabbids only or Mario Bros only... Or a new game plus where you can replay the game but have all the characters and weapons you unlocked from the start and the enemies are stronger.
@Lucarianzx as long as you live in a free country you are able to express an opinion.
Not much of a celebration for the fans who bought the game way back when. 😁
Just bought the Donkey Kong DLC.I didn't know it have a new campaign,I though it just have some new characters in it.
Finally the dlc on sale! The game has been so often on sale but was waiting for the donkey kong pack!
@BarefootBowser of course. I formed my options of the new fire emblem from reviews I read. It just did not seem like the Fire Emblem games I played; it is a strategy game not a fishing, cooking, running around completing tasks game.
The only way for me to get a true opinion of the game is to buy and play it. And on this occasion I did. And while the battle elements are true fire emblem the RPG part is distracting at best and childish at worse. So yes opinions are just that, opinions, and can be questioned.
@zool It’s ok to have opinions that conflict with any popular consensus. I think everyone has those. Just if you are knowingly going against that established consensus, you at least need to have some rationale behind it. The above individual’s comment, was just a clear example of vengeful bile about something they have probably never played.
Those who troll and are contrarian for the sake of it, are just as bad as those who blindly feel the need to praise every aspect of something they like.
I never finished the base game, but at that price I may bite on DK Adventure...
@Patron Trolls gonna troll. Took a look at some of your other comments from your profile page. You really have been owning the libs! 🙄
I bought it and I have really much fun with it.
This game really surprisd me as I never thought I'd like a game with Rabbids in it but I love this.
I would definitely buy a sequel if they ever did one.
First time I've seen the DLC on sale so might cash in
FINALLY.
Bought the DK DLC. I don't know why they waited so long to put the DLC on sale...
The first good game the Switch got. After 5 months of droughts and Splatoon 2, Rabbids was a nice surprise. The Donkey Kong DLC was excellant.
I loved the main gameplay, but a lot of the puzzles felt like useless padding, and what story there was couldn't keep my hooked by itself.
I got about halfway through the main game, I think, and then got stuck playing SMM2. Sometime I'll have to go back - the last boss I got stuck on was amazing.
Can anyone please clarify what the SEASON PASS Pack contains? Does it include Pixel Pack, Ultra Challenge Pack and/or Donkey Kong Adventure DLC? I have the vanilla game and I don't know what DLC / PACK should buy, taking advantage of this eShop Sale, to make it full like the Gold edition.
"Would you like to see a sequel?"
Yes. A Starfox rabbids.
Great to see a season pass on sale hope we get some discounts on others soon.
Great game, that deserves all the credit that it got, and an absolute must-have if you like the turn-based strategy type. I've had tons of fun with it so far.
On a side note: what's this weird continuing trend of not mentioning prices in euros? The British pound is only available in a very small area, while the euro is arguably the world's second most commonly available coin.
And there's a lot of Europeans and expats living in Europe frequenting this site, so it might be a very good idea to start incorporating these prices as well, @Liam_Doolan.
@NotTelevision I get what you are saying, but sometimes someone will have a point of view, but does not express it very well, while others will just post to stir things up.
This above individual, I think has a point, which they have expressed in a rather mundane and maybe aggressive way. But that does not make the point any less valid. If anything they could come across as a troll, or with an inability to make a point without sounding aggressive..That said, most opinions are subjective rather than right or wrong.
My favourite game in the Switches first year was Mario + Rabbids. The strategy was excellent and the puzzle/exploration was ok. Likewise FE3H's strategy battles are excellent but the rest is just avarage. In my opinion.
Fire Emblem three houses could have been so much better and my overall impression is just average. That said it is what it is, and for me it may get better as I proceed through the game.
As an example: take a football game, which I don't play, but if I was to I would pick a team red or blue, green or yellow and play football. I would not be interested in building a team, a strip and any customising. Likewise FE3H',s spends to much time not allowing as to play the battles.
If someone asked me to recommend a strategy game I would recommend Mario + Rabbids over Fire Emblem 3 houses. The above individual I think has a similar feeling about FE as I have, but I hope I have given a more balanced reason.
@zool Yeah I haven’t picked up FE:3H yet, mainly because I don’t have to time to sink into a massive JRPG/SRPG like that.
It sounds like the most recent game was slightly influenced by that Persona lifestyle simulator kind of gameplay. I’m only about 40 or so hours into Persona 5, and I get what you are saying. It doesn’t feel very “gamey” at times and more like you are playing a visual novel, scrolling through endless dialogue text boxes and menu screens.
I like that when I want to relax sometimes though, and I’m happy games like that exist. You just have to be in the right mindset and very patient to enjoy it.
When I’m playing these sorts of games it helps to have one of my favorite beers handy, and just sort of settle into its world.
@NotTelevision I've never played a Persona game but I do understand the endless scrolling through text and I tend to avoid such games, with one acception, Disgaea. My point really is that Fire Emblem was never like that, but I guessed the developers have pleased as many gamers as they have upset.
But I will play more today with a cold Guinness beside me and see if your advice works. ,😀
Still one of my fav Switch games...
Time to get the dlc I think!
I'll finally pick up that Season-Pass then!
Been waiting on a discount for the season pass for quite some time - given the fact that the gold edition wasn't much more expensive I didn't want to pay full price. Wonder if there is ever gonna be a sequel, I am sure it would sell.
