A (since deleted) retail listing has potentially revealed the existence of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag and Assassin’s Creed Rogue Remastered for Nintendo Switch.
The listing was spotted at Greek retailer The Console Club (you can still visit the URL, but a pop-up message states that "the product does not exist"). Thankfully, Resetera user LukarWuff managed to grab a screenshot of the listing before it was removed.
As you can see, the listing suggests that both games would be part of the same release, potentially as a bundle of some sort, and also shows a release date of 6th December - although placeholder retail release dates such as this can never really be trusted. Assassin's Creed III Remastered did release on Switch earlier this year, so it wouldn't be a surprise to see more games of the series appear on the console.
The listing comes just weeks after another Resetera member first mentioned that both games were headed to Switch. We wouldn't ever recommend trusting a comment like this which provides no proof, but now, combining the mumblings it stirred with this retail listing, the whole situation does seem a little more believable.
Who knows, perhaps we'll see an announcement for the game appear in tomorrow's Nintendo Direct?

It might be the best Assasins Creed but its still Assassins Creed. So no buy for me.
Black flag is amazing! Can't wait for this if true.
I quite like Black Flag but I'm not paying a lot to get it bundled with a game I wont play, sell it separately and I'm interested
Awesome if so! One of the few regrets I had when trading my Wii U for Switch. AC3&4, Zelda Twilight/Wind/Skyward, and GBA VC castlevania games I had.
Still hoping for a Zelda bundle sometime
Excellent! Black flag is my personal favorite and I’ve always been interested in Rogue, hope it’s true!
I'd snap black flag up again anyway.
I hope it isn't a bundle, if it is true. (I'll buy it for Rogue, but IV can fall down a well for me) I wish Ubisoft would stop pretending that 1 doesn't exist.
Very mixed feelings about this. Black Flag is my second favorite of the series, but I’m just not super confident they can do a decent port. Crossing my fingers it ends up better than AC3.
Played the heck out of Black Flag on the WiiU. Great game, but I don't want to pay for it again and have it take up precious space. I'm interested in Rogue, but only if it is sold separately.
Black Flag is the best one, but can't we have new games?
This one isn't even that old, not quite six years.
AC4 and Rogue are two I still need to play, so this would be great.
2 more Ubisoft downgrades?
Well, if they're released as a bundle, it'll probably be half physical, half download code again. Better stock up on those micro SD cards, people...
Love 3 on the switch and love them bundling these two together. Have guides for both from playing on Xbox and PS.
Wish they release the trilogy they released on Xbox and ps too.
Rumor started by Nintendo Life. The forum site has to be the source.
I would LOVE blackflag on the Switch! Day one for me! Aaargh!
I may try Black Flag again, something tells me I still won't beat it and eventually get bored with it like last time...But, eh...I miss the pirate ship stuff. lol
Black Flag is great, I'd probably pick that up on sale down the line to play on the Switch.
Loved the free roaming part in Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. Did not like the story-part at all, though.
I played a little bit of Black Flag on Wii U and sold it. I couldn't get the hang of the sailing controls and got frustrated.
Here we go again. Get ready for all the usual people to moan about everything it isn’t compared to its console version lol.
I can’t waiiiit
Here it is.
When Assassins Creed 3 released, everyone complained it wasnt Black Flag and that "they would have bought it if it were Black Flag". Well? Here it is. Let's see if that was truth, or a just a convenient knock against 3.
As for myself, I'm definitely on board. I bought 3, as I bought Revelation back on Vita, because having at least 1 portable AC game in the library is always a must. But a portable hybrid version of Black Flag? Now that's some AC I can seriously get on board with.
Black Flag was my favorite in the series. I'd get it on the Switch and play it again, without hesitation.
Assassin's Creed 3 on Switch was awful...the graphics were totally fine but the game itself (besides how good combat felt) was awful. This game is held in much higher regard, correct?
I hear Black Flag is good. I don't care much for the series in general but if they handle it better than the third one's Switch port then, sure I'll buy.
Did i just heard that??? Buying immediately if true.
Both excellent games.
Oh god no! The last effort was an appauling port please not more!
Very possible purchase if true. Black Flag is my favourite in a series I don’t generally get on well with and Rogue has always looked interesting.
I feel like Black Flag would be a lot more challenging from a performance standpoint, and Rogue is a very whatever AC title.
I am yet to buy AC3.
If they do a nice full physical release I will consider it!
If only they could do Origins or Odyssey ...
As long as they do a better job than they did 3.
@Zuljaras if only the system was more powerful
@sixrings They could just downgrade it like The Switcher 3 but that would mean they also need to hire external team because we all know that UBI devs are not competent enough to do such high quality port.
UBI do not like to spend money on ports.
A real shame.
Played Black Flag to death on PS4. Playing Black Flag on the go is dream come true. Cannot wait. And I never got a chance to play Rogue. This is awesome.
Only will consider if they fix the framerate. AC: 3 Remastered was utter garbage performance wise on Switch.
Odyssey is the only AC game I’ve played. Going back from that awesome combat system to AC Rogue and Black Flag is not very appealing, especially considering that AC 3 didn’t port well to Switch.
Fine by me if it's true. Black Flag kept me busy for many hours, and I've always wanted to play AC: Rogue.
I'd also like to see the earlier games that came before III also make the Switch.
Too many games. So much stuff on my waiting list.
@carlos82 Why though, Rogue is a great game
Bad enough I already double dipped, I won't triple dip, but I do recommend Black Flag.
I still don't get how the hell, with the level of automation and what they risk with the publisher (essentially a total black list), how the hell such leaks keep happening with online stores.
@Woosh193 There's no denying it runs like hot garbage on Wii U and Switch lol
It’s a nice idea to bundle a few assassins creed games together. Wish Liberation was sold separately on the switch
the only AC game i need right now on the switch is Animal Crossing:))
Sweet! Black Flag was great, I'd definitely consider playing that again. I'd never heard of Rogue but it sounds good if it's still got ships n whatnot.
The only other AC game I've played is 3 but I pretty much hated it. It was so slow and nowhere near as much fun as being a pirate.
@Dang69 Yeah, ACIII is considered to be one of the worst and Black Flag is considered to be one of the best. I absolutely loved Black Flag.
Nope...gave Ubisoft too many chances, not this time. They already failed remastering Assassin's Creed 3 so no buy for me. That's too bad cause Black Flag is one of Ubisoft's better game. I'll stick with Uplay...don't really like that either but pick your poison I guess.
I think people are reluctant to jump right in because the AC3 switch port is so bad
@TIND indeed no one can be excited after the AC3 poor release
Interested, but I still have Black Flag for the Wii U sealed/shrinkwrapped sitting on my shelf. Never played it on any platform 🥴
When I got AC3 it ran fine and looked good. The problem with that game is the game just sucks. There is literally a sequence where you auto-ride a carriage, and press the L button for people to auto attack for you. You get to stand around and eaves drop and do nothing for minutes constantly. You Ubisoft-narrative-sequence-slow-walk constantly, inside bars, during exposition dumps, etc. It's the most "game that doesn't want you to play it" of any game I've played ever. A shame because the combat (when it actually gives you combat experience unless you're trolling soldiers) felt really good. Gave it until the open frontier, then traded it in and got back half of the "on sale" money. Can't believe they'd rerelease this and tarnish the brand in a way that Origins seemed to wipe clean.
