@Novamii How did you transfer over to the Switch OLED? Because a system transfer would be the only way to keep the Play Activity Hours counting correctly.

I still have the Play Activity Hours from 2017 and forward while doing a system transfer to the Switch V2 and Switch OLED.

The backside of the Switch (2) has a slot that helps the docking. If you compare the Switch 1 and Switch 2 you can see that the slot is quite different. I am not surprised that each dock is not compatible with the other Switch generation.

Not interested in this controller since I already have the Switch 1 Pro controller which I bought in a sale. It's so expensive. I am curious how HD Rumble 2 differs from HD Rumble 1.

Ordered one today, I was not invited so couldn't do that before. Also ordered the Nintendo Switch 2 Carrying Case.

Steam Deck seems like a cool device to own. Great that there are options. For me the better option still is the Nintendo Switch. I also could buy both, but there are enough games that keeping me occupied with the Nintendo Switch.

@Sebos I played the game a few years ago. I still had to finish the main campaign so I started off from a really old save game. I did try to start a new game, but didn't want to bother with the levelling system.

I hope so. I am not interested to buy these remasters on the same platform, but would be interested to play Oblivion handheld on the Switch 2.

@sanderev You are correct. But that seems more suitable for those games. If it is technically possible to do the same with Mario Kart World I expect the experience for an action based race game to be subpar.

I think it would be easier to do with a game like Super Mario 3D World, but in the video that game has 4 times the exact same screen?

@SillyG You can't compare Download Play and GameShare in that way. GameShare is streaming. GameShare does not work with a game like Mario Kart World except if everyone has the same view and controls the same kart.

@sanderev It works with Split Fiction because it shares/stream the exact same splitscreen. Mario Kart World is not one of those games that feature GameShare.

I hope EA is going to announce games like the Mass Effect Legendary Edition and Star Wars Jedi. I am not interested in these sport games but it also not surprising they support the Switch 2 with sport games the same way they did with the Switch 1.

I only got the Game Boy Advance on release day. For me it was a great launch with plenty of interesting games to choose from. I got Rayman Advance, F-Zero Maximum Velocity and Konami Krazy Racers. Still great games. I don't know why I wasn't interested in THPS2. When I finished THPS1+2 on Switch I bought the THPS2 cartridge and finished the game also on the Game Boy Advance. Great port.

I didn't worry about that. Still worry about the 2025 release date. I'll believe that when I see it. But still looking forward to play this game someday.

@MrCarlos46 They don't lower their prices so if the would have added the Expansion Pass DLC it would have been 20 dollar more expensive.

Just to be sure. BOTW + Expansion Pass DLC was released on cart, but only in Japan/Asia. I imported it via Amazon Japan and it was more expensive than the regular game.

@MrCarlos46 I read it. Hopefully that is the case. But I want to hear that from Nintendo itself or read it on the Nintendo website. It shouldn't be so vague and I don't think a customer service employee is a good source to rely on. This is the second customer service employee. The other said the opposite.

I just want to pick up a game and enjoy it.

Finally some news about this. But I also don't think this is a confirmation yet. But it seems highly likely. Now we have to wait for an answer from Nintendo or waiting for sad faces when people do an unboxing June 5th.

I also want to know more information about physical games on cartridges, but probably going digital in the coming generation.

I ordered the Switch 2 Mario Kart bundle. I think I will be fine with Mario Kart World for the first few months and I want to complete some Switch 1 backlog first. Also looking forward to news about older third party games like Halo: Combat Evolved. I would be really interested to play that on a Switch 2. First party games like Donkey Kong Bananza look interesting but I don't really like the prices they are asking for these games so I am not in a hurry to play.

Then don't use it? I was already not really interested in the feature. It's mostly because I game when sitting on the couch. Mouse mode doesn't seem practical that way. And also don't play games that are designed for a mouse on a console. But a game like Civilization 7 seems more fun to play with Mouse Mode.

@CStallion It doesn't say download code. Probably is, but that isn't clear.

@MrCarlos46 Another new cartridge besides the faster red cartridge for the Switch 2? It seems easier to just put a Switch 1 cartridge in the box with an upgrade pack download code. Just saying

@Medic_alert It would be interesting if NintendoLife does some investigation on this. The Nintendo website is also vague. But yes if it was just a red cart that includes everything on the cartridge then it wouldn't need al the information on the cover making the artwork uglier.

@Dragwhite Why does that reveal that it is a Switch 2 cart? On the cover it says it is a Switch 1 game.

@HammerGalladeBro I think these physical Switch 2 Editions have the Switch 1 cartridge in the box. If that is the case you can use the game on both systems.

What are we ordering here? On the cover it says it includes the Nintendo Switch game and the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Upgrade pack. Is it just the Switch 1 cartridge and a download code for the upgrade pack in the box?

If I can start with Halo: Combat Evolved on a Switch 2 then that would already be amazing.

@ian_beale I can't help but thinking you are talking nostalgia. But there is nothing wrong with that. I can understand why you prefer Morrowind.

I think Oblivion is more easy to modernise. If something is incredibly dated it would take more effort. Also think the gameplay of Oblivion is a bit more forgiving than Morrowind.

But beside Skyrim we never seen remasters(/remakes) so it is interesting to see it finally happening. Hopefully Morrowind is next and I would also be interested in playing the Fallout games on a Nintendo platform.

@ian_beale Is your opinion based on nostalgia? I started with Oblivion so I rather see a remaster/remake of that. But seeing Morrowind on modern platforms would be interesting as well as I never played it.

I see a lot of negativity. Maybe understandable if you played THPS4 before. But for me it will be the first time playing it. I enjoyed 1+2 a lot so I don't think I will have a problem with the changes. And when people can play the game and form a judgment based on experiencing the game first hand it might not be so bad?

The thing I have with this 3+4 collection is if it is worth to get on Switch when a Switch 2 is around the corner? 1+2 was a good Switch port and I had no problem with lesser graphics in favour of handheld play. But for enjoying this games for the coming years I rather start with a Switch 2 version.

@Dimjimmer I didn't understand that at all. Sparks of Hope trailer just looked like a Switch game. But the one that I saw mention that was a big fan of Youtuber SwitchForce...

I don't know. Hopefully we know more information in April. We don't know any pro's or con's of playing Switch 1 games on the Switch 2. We know it is backwards compatible, but not how it works etc.

I don't think it is worth to sell the Switch after the Switch 2 is out. Also bought a Switch Lite last year. But if I will still use them a lot I can't answer yet.
