If it is the same Nintendo like approach as online gaming I am not worried at all.

@BenAV Last year they confirmed it is still happening. But it is weird it is taking so long. I also expect the just give up. I played the game on Xbox and it is running 30 fps and seems quite complex. I don't see it being a good Switch port. Waiting for the Switch successor would make sense.

Looks amazing to me since the first trailer. Looking forward to 29th September.

No update on Outer Wilds during the Annapurna Interactive Showcase. It was announced for Switch over 2 years ago. Wonder what happend to it.

@samuelvictor The last boss battle was more difficult because of the screen crunch. Reminded me a bit of the first boss in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 But with saving and loading it was doable. Fun to be playing als Tails.

Next game will be Triple Trouble. Thus far Sonic the Hedgehog 1 is still my favourite. I see it is made by Ancient. All the other platformers are made by Aspect.

Just completed Sonic Chaos (without emeralds). Feels a bit chaotic lol. But fun game. But it feels a bit uninspired compared to Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and seems to use the same music but remixed.

The level design in these games are a bit too busy. I like the open space level design of Sonic the Hedgehog 1 more.

@samuelvictor Just started playing Sonic Chaos for the first time. What is different with the SMS version?

@RubyCarbuncle I think the slowdown in the Game Gear games is the same on every platform. I compared the Nintendo Switch with the Sonic Mega Collection Plus on the original Xbox. There Sonic 1 GG runs exactly the same.

The emulation just runs the games exactly like the original hardware. Maybe solving those slowdowns results in other emulation problems?

@samuelvictor I had a lot of fun playing Sonic Origins Plus this weekend. First played and completed the Game Gear version of Sonic the Hedgehog. I still like that one the most, as it was the first Sonic game I experienced. Nostalgia.
In Story Mode I am over 50% and played through Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic CD. First time I completed Sonic CD.

@Banjo For me it is a non issue. While the Game Gear games might sound a bit different I wouldn't have noticed it if I didn't had read about it. What I understand it is the effect of making a mono sound stereo. You could change the sound to Mono in the Switch System Settings and then it sounds normal.

@samuelvictor I am only interested in the 2D games. But also didn't bought the SEGA AGES releases and the SEGA Megadrive Classics because I knew there already was a widescreen version on mobile.

I had that feeling with Sonic Advance on the GBA. Cool to play Sonic on a Nintendo system

@samuelvictor Looking forward to Friday too. Finally a second Sonic game on the Switch after Sonic Mania (Plus). This time I did not double dip, so waiting for the physical of Sonic Origins Plus was a long wait.

@LordBakemono game reveal was in februari 2019 and not during a Xbox showcase. There was also gameplay and a demo that year on the Nintendo E3 Direct.

That it was announced for Game Pass and later also for PS4 and PS5 doesn’t make it more special. The game will be releases when it is ready. Can be on a Nintendo, Xbox or Playstation event. Or will be announced somewhere in between.

@LordBakemono Why? It will be day one on Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and Gamepass. What makes day one on Gamepass more special?

And where can I find this release schedule you are talking about?

If it has the same physics as Sonic Mania then I am optimistic. It will at least be as good or better than Sonic Frontiers.

I always hoped Sonic Mania would become a trilogy like the Sonic Advance series. But if fun to play Sonic Mania, Sonic Origins and Sonic Superstars is still a great collection of 2D Sonic games for the Switch. A few years ago I didn't have any hope for 2D Sonic games.

But if you enjoy Frontiers that is fine. But I am not a fan of the 3D games. I think Sonic works better in 2D.

@RubyCarbuncle The hype is real. It looks fun. But I wouldn’t say it looks ways better than Sonic Mania. I rather have Sonic Mania 2 by Christian Whitehead and his team. The other Sonic games in the last few years weren’t that great. But I do hope that Sonic Team can still make a great 2D platformer.

Crazy. What a huge difference compared to Sonic Mania Plus, which was made by fans for fans.
I already pre-ordered the game. Probably keep it. There is no other way to play these Game Gear titles on the Nintendo Switch. But as a physical collector who prefers to have all the content on the cartridge this is just stupid.

@evan23 KOTOR 2 has native controller support, KOTOR 1 does not. No experience with the Steam Deck. But played the Steam version of KOTOR 2 on my Macbook with an Xbox controller.

@Krysus LRG games are almost always delayed? But when you could pre-order the game from LRG it never said it would contain the DLC on the cartridge. If the description page doesn't mention the Restored Content DLC it is just wishful thinking.

It is not like we played Call of Duty games on Gamecube, Xbox and Playstation 2 hardware. Yes, totally impossible.

Nice for the fans. But I don’t like special editions. I already have the Switch OLED with the white Joy-cons and I think that one is more beautiful.
Thus far I find the different Pro Controller designs boring, I like to see more colors like Xbox and Playstation have.

@Bunkerneath @RudyC3 You can't find the order in your account? I had the same problem till last week, somehow solved now. But couldn't see my order and past orders. But the SNES controllers I ordered this week have arrived.

@Banjo- I didn't have problems with Sonic 1 on the Game Gear. But the first boss in Sonic 2 was really difficult.

I don't have problems with the Game Gear versions, they were my first Sonic games. But an option for the Master System version would be nice to have.

@Everythingnotsaved The SNES controllers I ordered directly when they were available and they arrived Thursday in the Netherlands. Also just ordered the N64 controller.

You didn’t play the Sonic Advance games? Amy Rose is a playable character in those games.

Are there images of the Japanese physical release? The Sonic Mania Plus in Japan looked cool.

@kr0n0tu You can expect that because they release all 12 Game Gear titles. If they where recreated in Christian Whiteheads Engine I would only expect Sonic 1 and 2.

@ketrac I would say that about the N64 controller. But the SNES controller is great for 2D platformers and metroidvania games like Hollow Knight. It has a better D-pad than the Pro controller.

I think with all the features that NSO supports it is fine to have the Pokemon games with the ability to trade Pokemon between Switches. The same experience as in the 90's. Pokemon HOME support is not needed and would solve problems with cloning etc. Just keep the Pokemon games experience separated from the new Pokemon games.

I am interested in this game. Let us know when it gets a normal physical release in Europe.

@Hayter I understand the convenience of having it all on a SD card. But do you finish 58 games in one trip? I can fit 5 extra cartridges in my Switch case and for me that is more than enough on a trip.

The problem with these Switch releases is that it only has English voices. While the Steam versions also have German, French, Russian, Dutch, Norwegian and Swedish.

If you buy it for nostalgia I think it is important that the voices are the same as you experienced the game as a child.

Weird random collection. When are they going to release Freddi Fish 1 and 2 on the eshop?

@broskiplays I can understand the need for a more powerful Switch. But a Pokemon game is definitely not a good example.

I am not sure if it should be more than a 4. Therefore I should buy the game and try it out for myself, but I was never interested in the 3D Sonic games. The people who buy 3D Sonic games anyway will say it is an 8. But if you bought the game before the reviews are out what does it matter?
