It's pretty weird the playtest game, can't see it being made into a full release, maybe it's aa test for something like 3D smash bros to test how well having tonnes of players online at once goes, I dunno.

Sorry, couldn't disagree more with this review. The one they made for the OLED model is fantastic. However, for switch 2 the plastic they used feels horrible, like rough sandpaper in your hand. I immediately requested a refund, super disappointed in the quality drop.

I'm just glad this game happened at all, I love THPS3, Peak Hawk

THPS3 is an all time fave gMe for me, grabbed this on Series S and already poured 6 hours in. Think it looses the vibe the OG ones had, feels more off than the 1+2 remake but the gameplay is still as awesome as ever, so no regrets!

I prob would have paid more for OLED but appreciate Nintendo have to consider a price point that won't alienate consumers

I find it kinda chill and relaxing and I guess in a way it's what a lot of ppl asked for - a glorified mission mode.

Just wish it had a structure, a story or that you could drive up to tracks or characters to start races or Grand Prix, now wouldn't that make sense Nintendo?

I haven't bought this partly on principle and partly reviews saying it's boring. Should I change my mind?

I think it's possible to justify a 7, 8 or 9 out of 10 depending how you spin it.

The open world is a pleasant, chill place to be in, basically a souped up mission mode but it has No structure, adventure or hook to make you spend more than a handful of hours there.

The world design is ace, Grand Prix mode offers variety but the driving between tracks detracts from enjoying actual 3 lap tracks and it feels a bit off.

Knockout tour just works though and is a flawless experience, love the lack of interruption and the tracks flow better into each other than in Grand Prix.

Meanwhile battle mode is undercooked.

I think everyone agrees, sadly, it isn't a 10/10. But boy it could have been with a bit more thought and purpose applied to free roam, dangit Nintendo, you have all the ingredients for perfection but undercooked it slightly.

I have ordered Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition to scratch my Zelda itch and hoping it runs awesome

I don't really get the sudden desire to change voice actors, the existing ones were perfectly great and seem like they would happily continue if permitted

So many unlocked by transform via kamek, could take forever to get those ones?

So much racing on switch 2.... Mariokart World, this and F-zero GX, might get this at a later stage cos it feels like racing overkill 😂

I think MK8 is better, had better track designs. This game feels a bit all over the place in grand prix mode and free roam could have been a structured adventure.

Knockout mode is amazing though and I have no idea why but the tracks feel much better in that mode.

Prob an 8/10 for me - it's still Mariokart, still makes me smile and multiplayer is fun as hell, but just feel a bit of disappointment with some of its choices.

THPS3 is one of my favourite games of all time, I'd be all over a remaster/remake.

Even though I've played it countless times, it has the best levels and goals, love it.

Surely the date being 03.04, it would be insane if it wasn't related the the 3rd and fourth games.

And kudos for picking that date

Have the limited run version, was fun to play it again and complete it, because back in the day my save file glitched and erased itself when I reached the final world and I didn't have the will to restart it. So 25 odd years later, I got to do just that and complete the bugger 😂

Now that's a helluva comeback from the Wii U. Comfortably selling over 10x as many consoles 🎉🎊

Don't understand some of the negative comments, all this does is boost the Switch 2 library. Portable Halo, like that's ace.

7 is fair, good game but it's a really mediocre port, should have been brushed up to Tropical Freeze standards, then we could talk about a 9.

The leaks gutted it for sure, every feature down the the U shaped kick stand, "C button" and release trigger for the joycon were not a surprise
