Re: Nintendo Switch System Update 12.0.1 Is Now Live

I used my psychic powers and the patch also introduces support for a new kind of Switch Dock. It's called the Cha Cha Chia Dock. Heh (I thought auto-correct was going to embarrass me there for a sec.) You'll be able to grow a chia pet, while the nutrients from it will charge your Switch. Nintendo is going green! Hehe

Re: Rumour: Is Something Going On Between Microsoft And Nintendo?

I would love to see Nintendo do the portable device and Xbox do the home console. Cross-platform & games from Xbox on switch and vice versa. Big demanding games on the Xbox and lesser demanding games on the Switch. I'd love to see a modern Zelda that would utilize Xbox series x specs and then a different zelda that would run on the portable switch. I dunno, just a thought.

Re: Mini Review: Densha de Go! Hashiro Yamanote Line - Yes, You Just Drive A Train

@COVIDberry I've always wanted to ride an actual train. The only thing I've been on was a Metro but it's definitely not the same. I'd always think of how nice and relaxing it would be to see cities and nature from the viewpoint of a train. This idea actually came from the very first anime I saw as a kid, that was on TV, called Galaxy Express 999.

Edit: Thank you for your kind words.

You know, at first, I was going to joke around how it's funny how Japan gets these really different games and we only get Call of Duty, Fartnight, etc... but then I remembered my late Grandpa, who actually built this big like pool sized miniature train area (can't think of the word). My Grandma said he liked trains and watching them and I think that's pretty cool because he was this tough down to Earth kinda guy (he was former military and used to be a boxer) and had a soft spot for trains. Man I miss him.

Re: Dev Explains Why Nintendo Made Mario's Anniversary Games Limited-Time

Xylnox

Ya, I already said they were doing this on purpose but it's just a burst in sales before they get discontinued. What I want to know is how many games would've been sold up all the way to their next system but unfortunately, we'll never know. To me, Nintendo is losing points in respect by doing it this way. Also, another reason why I hate this, is it will drive up the price of physical copies because now there's only a certain amount available. All this does is "enable" the scalpers more.

Re: The Dungeon Of Naheulbeuk Reminds Us Of Divinity: Original Sin 2, And It's Coming To Switch

Xylnox

I had two really short Dungeons & Dragon's campaigns, that were really funny.

The first one, my buddies and I had started at level 7 and we had some really good gear. We were imprisoned on a ship that was on the way to take us to a prison. Well, we were able to escape on a life boat but before we could get out of range, one of the ship's mages shot a fireball at us. Well, I was the only one that was a mage also. I thought I could use telekinesis to take a big fish out of the water and into the way of the fireball. The problem was I said fish instead of a big fish or something big. The fireball charred the fish, went thru it and blew up the boat and um, we all drowned. All our really nice gear, is now at the bottom of the ocean. :/

The second campaign, we were investigating this island that was an ancient civilization that had died off, a long time ago. We all saw this pyramid, with stairs and decided to investigate the top of it. When we got to the top, I saw this orb or crystall ball looking thing. Being a mage, I sensed that this orb was used before, with a spell, a long time ago. I asked the DM if I could recast the spell using the orb. The DM said sure, and I recast the spell and then this massive amount of energy exploded and killed us all and every living thing on the island. Oops.

Re: Soapbox: I'm Tired Of Ports And Remakes - Where Are All Nintendo's New Ideas?

Xylnox

I for one, love "good" old games getting remastered in HD for example. What I would love to see is more sequels or games in the same universe. New games are cool too but wouldn't it be cool if most good games continued. I would love sequels to Lost Odyssey, more Breath of Fire, The Last Remenant, more Chrono Trigger, Genghis Khan, more Secret of Mana, more Dark Souls, Dragon's Dogma, more Etrian Odyssey, more Emperor of the Fading Suns, more Battletech/Mechwarrior, more Fallout 1 or 2, more Star Fox and others etc.
