Zelda Breath of the Wild
Guardians won't be able to touch you if you perform this glitch... — Image: Nintendo

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild turned four years old last week, but that doesn't mean fans of the game are anywhere near done with finding new secrets.

A newly discovered glitch named 'Collision Overload' has been discovered, allowing players to walk underwater pretty much wherever they like as well as avoid all enemy attacks. It works by causing Link's collision detection to go haywire, meaning that Guardians, Lynels and the like simply can't touch you with their attacks; on the flip side, you can't damage them, either.

Sadly, pulling off the glitch isn't straightforward. As explained by Gaming Reinvented in the video below, you'll need several multishot bows and Shock Arrows to get started, and then you'll need to follow the steps shown very carefully. There are weapon desync tricks to perform, and you'll need to go ahead and throw these weapons into some water hundreds of times before the glitch comes into full effect. We told you it was complicated...

Once you've done it, though, you'll be able to pose for cool social media posts like this one. Lynels are nothing, right?

We've stumbled across plenty more glitches like this one over the past few months, so be sure to check those out if you're wanting more. In the meantime, let us know if you've ever tried to pull off something like this in the game with a comment below.
