We've seen a lot of weird and wonderful GameCube conversions over the years, and the latest design that's got the attention of social media is one that's been transformed into a flower pot.
Yes, YouTuber NitroRad - a guy who has been putting out some excellent videos about retro and indie games for many years now, recently showed off the GameCube flower pot he helped his girlfriend make.
Before anyone gets angry, it's worth noting that this is the shell of an old "busted" GameCube. You can also see some of the damage on the side of the unit in the photos above.
What do you think of this creation? Has it inspired you to make your own Nintendo-themed flower pot, or would you prefer to restore a system like this? Leave a comment down below.

Blasphemous, sad face
That's kinda gross, gotta be honest.
The flowers could be better, but I congratulate them for being creative and making use for broken parts.
Well, that's more than Nintendo's done with the GameCube in 15 years.
I'm glad they did this with a broken system, rather than just tossing it in the trash bin.
I'd like to say I prefer things being repaired, but I don't have the skills for something like that. I know there are plenty of people who do but I've not heard of people ever having much difficulty finding functional Gamecubes. There's still a good number floating around. I have 2 actually. XD
Rest in peace, partner
Look how they massacred my boy
@Noid bruh this is amazing
Now let’s see them turn a flower pot into a GameCube.
Few of us are given a second chance in life. Congratulations, my purple friend. May your 1-ups never end.
Sorry but this is stupid. You could make a flower pot out of almost anything, not really creative.
Looks kinda odd with the disc door open like that. Maybe remove it so it looks more like a pot? I don’t know...seems like an odd choice though.
Great. I live in Colorado and now everyone is going to buy up gamecubes and plant a umm "greenie plant" in it for fun now.
Gosh, I didn't know that a Pikmin amiibo existed aside from Olimar, I feel stupid
I actually did this for my wedding. The gamecube had the wedding flowers in it and the pen for the guest book was where the reset button goes.
EDIT: I found a picture of it:
Curious how well it holds water
Like making a thermos flask out of your grandfathers skull
If anyone got that reference I salute you
He really should have mention it was a broken Gamecube on the original post, he must have gotten a lot of hate tweets between his original post and the clarifying post from the following day.
A whole 24 hours allows for a lot of angry people to message you!
@TsukiDeity It says in one of the attached tweets that it is a "busted" gc.
That looks decent. Perhaps it will look better once the plants are bloomed if they just now planted them but it looks a little basic right now.
@DanTheSausage I know he states it's a broken gamecube in his attached tweet. I'm just saying he should have included it in the original tweet with the pics to avoid having angry tweets sent to him. People tend to be very vocal and angry on twitter (and the internet as a whole).
That's a blooming good idea!
Time to break out my working GameCube, found a use for it finally!
I generally enjoy seeing the articles on NL about people creating gaming related art/objects, but this is not one of them.
Somebody turned Nintendo Life into a pot for storing useless articles.
