Re: Review: Baldo: The Guardian Owls - Exquisite Ghibli-Esque Art Can't Hide Tortuous Gameplay

Xylnox

I believe the difference in difficulty between Baldo and Dark Souls, is that it sounds like Baldo is frustrating when you die a lot because Baldo is a wimp and also because of poor map design. While Dark Souls, depends on your skill of dodging, blocking, attacking etc. To me, it seems like Dark Souls is more dependent on how skilled you are and the timing of your offense and defense skills.

Another thing that is sad, is that Baldo took 15 years to make and its just ridiculous on how bad this game sounds like. What were the leaders and higher-ups doing for the past 15 years? I bet this is just like Destiny and Anthem when they came out. The higher-ups kept changing things so much that we got a crappy or mediocre game on release. Anyway, I blame the higher-ups, as 15 years in development should mean this game should've been a well polished game by now.

Re: New Zelda: Skyward Sword HD Footage Shows Off The Game's Autosave Feature

I don't know why but I just have to make fun of this.

In a deep manly voice
In the year, 2021, there lives these weird sky people that live on clouds or land on top of clouds or they just float on top of clouds and they live happily on their clouds. Not far below the sky people live the not-so-sky people and they also live happily.

But wait, that's not the only happiness here. These people can sleep peacefully at night because of a neat invention called "autosave", which saves the universe automatically at intervals. No more, do people have to worry about their homes being invaded while their out grocery shopping. Now, the universe will automatically save after the bandits take all your valuables.

Re: Rune Factory 5's Local Switch Release Arrives "Early" In 2022

Rune Factory 5 is taking a long time to get translated into English because the team working on translation suddenly forgot the English language. It just happened like BAM and the translation team didn't know English anymore and they were all fired and probably kicked out of Japan. It's a sad day for Japanese translation into English uhh stuff.

Sorry, I couldn't think of anything else to joke about. This will just have to do for now. :/

Re: Soapbox: Game Genres Are Broken

@aaronsullivan ya, I agree. There needs to be some kind of organization. Like those games that get labeled as Dark Souls Like. I'd rather those games be labeled Tough or something because Dark Souls isn't the first hard game ever.

Re: Soapbox: Game Genres Are Broken

I think there should be main labels and then sub labels. To me, all these labels are like disorganized files that need to be put into labeled folders. For example, RPG would be the main label and then subs will be after, like RPG-J, Role Playing Game -Japanese, RPG-J/F, Role Playing Game - Japanese/Fantasy, RPG-J/SF, Role Playing Game - Japanese/Sci-Fi, RPG-W/F, Role Playing Game - Western/Fantasy and maybe RPG-RL, Role Playing Game - Rogue Like.

The main category should be the main focus of the game and the sub part should help to tell you what type of game it is. Maybe Zelda Breath of the Wild could be RPG-E/P, Role Playing Game - Exploration/Puzzles while Fallout 3 would be RPG-E/SF/Ap, Role Playing Game - Exploration/Sci-Fi/Apocalyptic and Skyrim would be RPG-E/F, Role Playing Game - Exploration/Fantasy.

I dunno. Just an idea I have.
