Re: Nintendo Switch Looks Poised To Smash 'Crazy Records' This Holiday Season

Xylnox

I really hope Nintendo keeps selling a lot of the Nintendo Switch. The more Nintendo sells, the more devs will make games for Nintendo Switch. Devs would make more new games and cart over more games because the player base for Switch will be huge and they can reach more people.

Also, I think Microsoft made a big mistake with their Game Pass. I mean, I have friends that are just signing up for game pass for PC, rather than buying games or the new Xbox Series X/S. I also, do not see the point in buying Microsoft's console right now because some of the new games are playable on my Xbox One. There's barely any incentive to buy one yet unless you want better graphics and shorter load times but then it's $500 for the Series X. I'd rather wait until more games or exclusives come out for Xbox Series X.

Re: SNK Has Apparently Been Purchased By The Crown Prince Of Saudi Arabia

Little does anyone know that the Saudi Prince is actually a gamer. In fact, he is the first Saudi Gamer Prince. His vision is to train his army with King of Fighters and Samurai Showdown. After all his army can do Hanzo's disappearing log trick, he decides to buy Japan and starts building the first "real" Gundam mech. Hehe

Re: Random: Some Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity Cases Have Gone A Bit Overboard

Xylnox

What would be cool is that everytime the game said Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, the game has to say it three times, one in each language. In fact, everytime the game has voice dialog, then the game should tell you everything in all three languages, at the same time! Dun dun dunnnnnnn! You'll be able to learn three languages at same time! We just created a new language! It's called Gerenchian, German, French and Italian in one language. Goodbye English, hello Gerenchian!

Re: EA Ignores Nintendo Fans Yet Again As FIFA 21 David Beckham Freebie Skips Switch

Xylnox

Ok, there needs to be something done to let EA know that Switch players aren't going take this. EA will continue doing this until something happens. And why is that? Because EA is no longer a company that is focused on making games but instead they're focused on making a product that will sell. I mean, they can make some cool games but they are all about profit now. If they, as a AAA gaming company, can release a much inferior product on Switch than other consoles, why not? I mean, I started playing EA games on the Commodore 64. Do you think that EA started out this way? No, because a lot of new developers are trying to make something that you will hopefully "like". You can tell the difference between EA and a good dev because if the game has problems, the devs put in a lot more work over trying to make the game better with patches and updates. Case in point, No Man's Sky and Imperator Rome. Both games came out and sucked BUT the people in these two companies listened to feedback, changed a lot of things and now the games are much better. They "care" and that is why I would rather support these two devs over EA. And also, EA will not change unless they start losing money or get hit with bad PR. To me, EA is just a dev or a company but they will never be a great or legendary dev in my eyes.

Re: Team17's Worms Series Celebrates Its 25th Anniversary

Xylnox

My actual favorite Worms game is Worms Forts: Under Siege. The world was 3D and there where 4 players, one in each corner. You had a fort and built buildings and fighting was much cooler in 3D than 2D.

The game is at gog.com for $5.99 if anyone wants to know.

P.S. Team17, you owe me $17,000 for this post. ;P

Re: Random: Not Everyone Is Happy With Cadence Of Hyrule's Interior Artwork

Xylnox

@Yanina The switch physical game is nothing to look at really. It's not like you can display it easy because you need the case. I buy mostly physical and will sometimes own multiple copies because a physical game came out after launch.

Anyway, I just read the article and I am sorry for what I said. I had assumed the article was about something else.

Lady: You betcha I do! I love tooting in my pooty.
Me: ... I thought the virus was deadly?
Lady: Nope! It just gives you horrible gas!

Re: Professor Layton Dev Level-5 Has No Plans For Future Games Outside Of Japan, Says Report

Xylnox

I think Nintendo needs to step up and get involved in this situation. Since, about March of this year, the Nintendo Switch has sold 61,440,000 units while North America sold around 22,130,000 units and Europe was comparable. So, around 45 million outside of Japan and around 16 million units for Japan. That means that about 75% of the Nintendo Switch sales are outside of Japan.

I am quite frankly sick of not seeing a game come out for Europe and North America and only Japan. With a Level 5 being a great company with many great IP's, there should be no reason to cut off 75% of Nintendo Switch users from these wonderful games. I believe Nintendo should help software companies by setting up a small company to help translate big named company games to the rest of the world. Nintendo makes a crap ton of money and this would help your Nintendo Switch owners outside of Japan. Just my two cents though.

Re: Rare Celebrates Its 35th Anniversary

Xylnox

I say, it is rare to have have a rare company that is called Rare that makes Rare games rarely. Maybe if Rare release their rare games from long ago, on the switch, then Rare games wouldn't be so rare. :/

Re: New Video Shows Thwomp In Action At Super Nintendo World

This just in! Four Japanese were in critical condition today after being squished by Thwomp, in the newly opened Super Nintendo World park. Eyewitnesses said that the four Japanese were trying to jump to a different platform but didn't make it and then they got squished. Park managers apologized and offered the four Japanese free tickets to try the course again. Hopefully, they can get to the end of the course this time.

Also in the news, Johnny Smith from American Ninja Warrior has set a new record in the...

Re: 16-Year-Old Student Arrested For Allegedly Threatening To "Blow Up Konami’s Headquarters"

Xylnox

Police: Why did you do this?
Kid: Because of network connectivity problems.
Police: ... ... ... ... So, you threaten to kill people over internet problems?
Kid: Not just internet problems, I lost my match in Pro Evolution Soccer because of network problems. I mean, you would be in my shoes if this happened to you!
Police: Um, no. We wouldn't threaten to kill someone over a video game. A video game is just entertainment like a movie but with a person interacting with it. A person is a unique human being that cannot be replaced. People have a mind, body and soul and are living in a real world while video games are fake made-up worlds. You cannot replicate the real world in a video game.

You know, after the deaths, protesters, destruction etc in the USA over the past couple of weeks and then hearing about this article and a kid threatening to kill people over a video game. Maybe we need to start teaching our kids that every life is important and that each and every person is special, unique and cannot be replaced.

Sorry for using this post to vent a little but I just get tired of seeing this hatred in the world.
