Fantasy Life i is easily my #1 Switch GOTY. So much fun, so much to do, the exact game I look for on a hybrid console. Xenoblade X is a close #2. For overall GOTY, Expedition 33 takes the crown.

I'm still working on the Game Boy Advance. I'm hoping in a few more years once I clear my backlog, I can finally move onto the Nintendo DS.

Man, I just wish they could get back to the feel of those GameCube physics. It's good if this game feels closer than the other recent titles, but still a bummer that it is not "quite" up to snuff.

I would love to see FFXIV on the Switch 2. Despite having poured most of my MMO hours into WoW, I do think FFXIV as it exists now is the best MMO ever made.

Please, PLEASE ditch the unfinished, buggy, glitchy, performance-issue-laden, unpolished MESS that was Scarlet and Violet. First time I ever couldn't finish a mainline Pokemon game because it was so hideously awful. I expect more from Game Freak and Nintendo. As a long-time fan, it’s disheartening to see the series I love treated with such little care.

Absolutely awesome game. Just pure fun! Once I did beat it though, I didn't necessarily feel compelled to go back for more runs (like I did in Slay the Spire and Hades).

I fully anticipate this game being in GOTY conversations for this year.

The fact that we have to purchase each one individually and it takes several minutes to get a whole set is just absurd. And now they still insist on charging Platinum points for these?! How can Nintendo be so backwards when it comes to online?

Good! Pokemon has been sitting on its laurels for too long. It's past time for other game developers to push them to do better.

As you can see in the comments, this game is incredibly polarizing. It was one of my favorite games of 2023.. and for others, it was a massive disappointment. For what it's worth, I do agree that the story was pretty much nonexistent, but the combat (and the art) were awesome and that's what I care about most in my Fire Emblem games.

Man, I loved Papers, Please. Just a fantastic, dystopian game. The mechanics for this one may be loosely based on it, but.. that's about it.

Completely agree with others saying Ultimate Deluxe to Switch 2 as the next step. Add like 2-3 echo fighters or new characters and a new mode and there you have it!

WarioWare is an AUTOMATIC day one purchase for me. Despite all the negative feedback that "Get It Together" got, I absolutely love that game too. In fact... there's never been a WarioWare game that hasn't hit for me. Bring it on!!!!!

Zubat is on the list, but not Drifblim (who abducts innocent children), Spiritomb (a collection of evil spirits), or Shedinja (a literal floating shell of a giant dead insect)? Come on, man! 😂
