Interesting! I remember when I first saw the Switch trailer, I was incredibly underwhelmed with the gameplay, but the soundtrack was cool.

I agree with what both of you said. It's a game that you can of course go back to, but it feels a lot "emptier" since all of the usual updates and Splatfests we had become accustomed to ran dry. Still one of my favorite games though, and I'll be looking forward to the eventual Splatoon 3.

This just makes me want a Shantae amiibo that much more. Never really got the appeal of these things.

These sets are definitely growing on me. I just wish they had classic minifigs for the Mario characters.

Thank you for making this poll, and for the kind soul who highlighted my comment to the NL staff to make it.

I'll preface this by saying this is one of the greatest sandbox games I have played, and I am absolutely loving it. But please, NO MORE EGGS. Let me wear a bunny costume if I want to hunt eggs, and when I take it off, I can get back to fishing actual fish.

@Kalmaro I did the exact same thing! I wanted to clarify that, because I know people will read this guide and smash all their rocks.

This guide is not entirely correct. Only 1 rock respawns every day, so if you want the best long-term farming, only smash 1 rock per day after mining them all.

Pretty much a no-brainer, and you get 1 gold coin back for the digital purchase so it's pretty much only 8 cents!

Download digital and then pick up the case later on if you want it for collection. Always my go to for these type of games!

As others have said here, Dante (from DMC) is definitely most likely at this point based on the date. I wouldn't personally be that excited for him but would be excited for those who wanted him.

Art style is great for the overall tone of the game! A nice surprise announcement to start off the Direct.

A game that's fun in short bursts, but takes longer than you'd think to actually have a decent play session. This is the irony of Dauntless.

Well, that's enough internet for one day...

There's something to be said about gathering around a table with friends and playing a board game. But sometimes, setting up and taking down all the pieces can be a bit cumbersome, so I love that Asmodee is bringing board games to the Switch and hope they do not stop anytime soon.

FF XIV, after they essentially rebooted it, is actually a fantastic MMORPG experience--if you don't mind a TON of dialogue and cutscenes. I thoroughly enjoyed playing it for a bit.

They are not the same though... the last wasn’t a Direct because it wasn’t live streamed, but this one is! Excited to say the least, I expect to fill some of the holes from the highlights.

So it's not a Nintendo Direct so can we at least change that part of the title? And it doesn't even seem to be a Nindies Showcase, so maybe we'll still get one of those later on this year?
