Re: Talking Point: What Do You Want To See From Nintendo At E3 2018?

WreckitRyan

1. Open with a "Metroid Prime 4" trailer, but turns out to be character reveal for Ridley. Hype train off to a great start.
2. Go into some of the things we saw on that leak including Paladins, Fortnite, and Dragon Ball Fighter Z, etc.
3. Pokemon president comes into view, goes over some things we know and don't know about Let's Go. Goes on a little too long, and we all start getting a little antsy.
4. Finally Smash Bros time. Big premiere trailer reveal with actual gameplay. Sakurai on the big screen talking about how his arms are falling off. Name announced as Super Smash Bros: Heroes vs. Villains. Meant to be the ultimate version of smash, featuring a roster for the first time with two halves, heroes on one side and villains on the other. K. Rool and Dixie Kong revealed for new playable characters. About 15 minutes spent here. Release date September 28.
5. Some more third party support and indie games featured next. Classic lightning round style.
6. Time for some Yoshi! About a 5 minute highlight reel of the upcoming game for December 2018.
7. Reveal that Animal Crossing is in the works for an early 2019 release.
8. Wow, how is this still going on? Craziness, but still have about 15 minutes left and now Miyamoto is on screen. Yes, it is finally time for Pikmin 4. Quick gameplay trailer.
9. Only a few minutes left--time for one last character reveal before we head to the treehouse. Yep, it's two veterans returning to Smash: Snake and Ice Climbers. A little underwhelming for some, but most people will be super excited by this. Both are announced to be playable at the Invitational and the Demo.
Hope we all enjoy it Tuesday, sorry for the spoilers

Re: New Splatoon Secret Project Is Set To "Shock The World" Just Days Before E3

I admit that the Battle Royale mode idea was initially super appealing, but after giving it some thought, I just don't know how they could make it really work. The maps would have to be inkredibly huge, and with 100 players (or even 50 for that matter) players inking terrain all over the place, I just can't see how there wouldn't be some sort of lag or frame drops. Also, the kills happen so quickly in Splatoon (even more quick than PUBG and Fortnite) that a one-life system just doesn't seem practical or fun, either.

@TheDragonDAFan Yeah, good point. I meant just more in terms of physical space on the screen. In terms of total characters (including DLC) we went from 12 in the original to 26 in Melee to 39 in Brawl and 58 in 3DS/Wii U. Therefore it's not unreasonable to think we may be getting around 70 characters when this is all done, so I think if there's a way to include clones within one character box it might be a good call organization-wise.

1) Turn clones into alternate costumes for characters to free up some roster space for new additions
2) Break the targets and board the platforms specific to each character
3) Characters that are more challenging to unlock than just playing Vs. mode a bunch of times
4) Adventure/subspace mode that has replayability/alternate paths
5) Shantae

Re: Nintendo Reveals the Ages of Pearl and Marina

@Ardisan Oh, as others have alluded to here, there is a lot of promiscuous artwork of these two out on the interwebs, as per ol' reliable rule 34. It would generally be considered inappropriate if these depictions had been of characters considered underage.

Wow, congrats Nintendo! I have to say though, when playing the Splatfest, the presence of the gamepad screen was sorely missed (I never thought I would be saying that).
