Re: Feature: Nintendo Franchises We Want to See at E3 - Metroid

Williaint

I'd love to see a new 2D Metroid. Sigh...
I'd probably still buy anything "Metroid", though.
ADVANCE WARS. Now that's a series that needs to see some more action.
I'd like to see a new Wario land game, where you can play as Wario and/or Waluigi. I think that would totally make my E3.
Nintendo sort of nonchalantly announced Star Fox, so I'D like to see that.
I'm excited about Xenoblade Chronicles X and LoZ U, but those are things that are almost CERTAINLY going to be there.

I'm looking forward to what Masahiro Sakurai is going to announce on the 14th, other than Lucas.

Re: Poll: Did The Splatoon Global Testfire Hit Its Targets?

Williaint

The only issues I had were the times, which were terrible.
I also didn't think having only an hour to play was a smart plan. When they held the Mario Kart 8 demos, at best buy, they went on for hours!
It's like giving someone a penny, and saying then telling them they have to wait.
Speaking of money, It's over $70? I could buy two games, at that price.

Re: Poll: Which Characters Do You Want to Win the Smash Bros. Fighter Ballot?

Williaint

@OrganSeller I just chose NONE OF THOSE, because I wanted Waluigi (I did put him on the Nintendo Ballot)
Waluigi!
He's got a great Flying move, Down Stomp, Throw (a kick), and even a distance Attack: throwing Bob-bombs. As long as he's not a clone of Luigi or Wario. I picture him as a character that has a large, quick, step but a slower jumps and attack.

My second choice would be: Advance Wars CO! It would be similar to Poke-master, With a Plane, Mech, Mid-tank, Copter...

I'm almost positive, However, that there will be a Wool Yoshi, and/or a rainbow curse Clay Kirby (That would work like Pac-man). Another probable character would be the inklings.
I wouldn't mind seeing more Sonic Characters, Knuckles or Tails could work similarly.

Re: Poll: Which Nintendo Franchises Should be Produced as TV Shows?

Williaint

@Emaan You can make any series 'Saturday Morning'; Even Half Life, or Resident Evil. But you see the problem? It gives children (Or parents with no knowledge) a false vision of these games. This is what happened with Kirby: RBAY! I think Some Nintendo series would be better for a mature audience...
@Speed_Stick_2600 I like Chameleon Twist, too, but that's not actually developed or produced by Nintendo... It's Sunsoft.
@Culex123 Anime is still animation.

Re: Poll: Which Nintendo Franchises Should be Produced as TV Shows?

Williaint

@CanisWolfred Kirby Right Back At Ya is an abomination! It's 10 x worse than the SUPER MARIO BROS. Movie.
@Vindignant No. Disney + Nintendo is a bad IDEA. Wasn't that discussion raised again, LAST WEEK?

Since I love to go through lists:

  • LoZ live action series... There's going to be a lot of Green Screening in this Netflix series.
  • Bring Back anything even close to Kirby RBAY! , and I'll vomit. Or a live action Kirby. I'll vomit even more.
  • I think Kid icarus could work as a live action show, but Animated would probably be better
  • A live action Metroid would be a lot like Alien, and I'd love to see realistic Mother Brain, Metroid, Samus, and Ridley!
  • I would not like to see F-Zero as a TV Show. There is no possible premise that could work well.
  • Star Fox Could work, animated. As funny as it might be, I don't want to see a bunch of characters in fur-suits yelling "DO A BARREL ROLL".
-I'd like to know more about the Splatoon, before I see an animated show. Since it may not lend itself to TV, I couldn't say...
  • The 'Super Mario' series really lends itself to TV. As far as style goes, It would be great to see it "Wario-esque". Speaking of Wario, I'd love to see more Wario and Waluigi. I don't think there needs to be a live action segment, but it could work!
  • Again, I'd hate to see fur-suit Donkey kong, or Diddy! As much as I'd love to see "Banana-slamma" come back, I just don't think having DK come back to TV is wise...

Other ideas:

  • A live action Bayonetta.
  • A live action Punch-Out, like Rocky, but with great characters, like Mike Tyson, and Glass Joe (And don't forget the montages; lots of montages).

Re: Review: The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D (3DS)

Williaint

So, I'm playing the original, that I got from my Wii.
It's still the most tedious LoZ game I've played. I'm even taking into consideration how much repetition was in the Adventure of Link!
There's a very slim chance I'll get this game, even with the New 3DS.

Re: Editorial: Nintendo's YouTube Creators Program 'Beta' Provides Vital Feedback - It Won't Work

Williaint

This deal, it's kind of like 'bribed exposure'.

NINTENDO: Here, take a little money and show us lookin' good!
YOUTUBER: Sounds like a deal, "Friend"!
NINTENDO: Now, you must follow these strict rules. Also, you have to be original.
YOUTUBER: What the... Original? I don't understand!

This bribed exposure will only create a strongly biased outlook on anything submitted, though this program. So, It's not going to help out Nintendo out.

Nintendo PLAY, on their website, seems to be exactly what these "Pewdiepie kids" want.

My solution? Make a web series starring Reggie. His Kick-ass 'tude will get some internet attention. This is marketing money spent much better. An even better idea is Animation. Nintendo's characters look great as cartoons. Create a short series in the same simulated claymation as Kirby's Rainbow curse, to tell people ABOUT the game, and the story. This same idea could work for any series. As long as they don't Sonic-Boom it.

@steamtrain Well Said, steamtrain. Well said. People will find something to complain about, no matter what happens. If there isn't something to complain about, then a problem may be created.

Re: Talking Point: Star Fox for Wii U is an Ongoing and Surprising Mystery

Williaint

@NintyMan Don't hold your breath! The Next Direct will most likely be heavily based on New 3DS, Majora's Mask, and Kirby's Rainbow Curse. It should be within the next two weeks. Wait a second, wasn't that last Direct?
The next Direct probably will happen, within the next two weeks, but I wouldn't be surprised if we don't hear about the new Star Fox until E3.
I would enjoy co-op mode; one player controls weapons, one player steers. Or, One player plays Fox, second player plays as Falco, Peppy, Slippy, or Katt? Or, One player plays Fox, the second controls Great Fox (ROB).
As long as motion controls are optional, I'll probably be happy.

Re: French Health and Safety Body Recommends Children Under 6 Avoid 3D, Report Rubbished By New Scientist Magazine

Williaint

I thought it was Children under 7....
I guess you could say, the 3DS is really not a toy, as it excludes the "Early Childhood" rated games... (Well, it could...)
I usually check out a 3DS game in 3D first, but usually don't leave it on.
@Dinosaurs @Specter_Twilight Great points.
@Dave24 You managed to explain depth perception before eye did...
It gives some people a false sense of vertigo. That's the problem, epicdude.

Re: Soapbox: Sonic, It's Time to Talk

Williaint

I've always been a Nintendo gamer, but I've had a lot of respect for Sonic.
Putting on that Red Scarf has not helped Him in anyway.
Sonic Adventure was fun... they could go back to something like that...

Re: Review: Super Smash Bros. for Wii U (Wii U)

Williaint

@Gridatttack I've only been playing Single Player, and I've had a blast! The only thing bothering me about this game is that my friends are never online at the same time, as me!

@ultraraichu I know what you mean, the stage builder is good, but I've spent hours trying to make something, and accidentally double tapping.

For the most part, the online has been great. I've encountered a couple battles where it was very, very choppy, and once spent at least a half-hour in the pre-battle practice mode, waiting for other fighters...
I'd say it's higher than 9, but I don't think any game should get a 10.

Re: Preview: Having a Brawl With Super Smash Bros. for Wii U

Williaint

@Diddy_kong It wasn't that awful, it was the year of Luigi!
@drewb0203 The reason it's so exciting is because it has so much... content. Unless you aren't a fan of the series, and I know some people aren't, it's hard not to be hyped.
Of course, I'm looking forward to "Zelda U" (who isn't?), and they haven't shown a percentage as much as they have for Smash Bros. 4 Wii U.

Re: Poll: Nintendo Minute Debate - Is Super Mario World or Super Mario Bros. 3 More Influential?

Williaint

My choice is Super Mario World:

  • Koopa Kids were actually named (not the stupid TV show names)....
  • World introduced a "sports" theme... You could say it influenced the hundreds of Mario Sports games to follow, though it probably didn't...
  • Also, As Legend has it, Miyamoto wanted to give Mario a Horse... so Yoshi Probably would have happened, inevitably, but it may not have been a Dinosaur / Dragon.

Super Mario Bros. 3 is influential, only because it came first...

Re: Talking Point: History Shows Us That Nintendo's Here to Stay

Williaint

@DESS-M-8
Now I have nothing else to add! Thanks for beating me to the punch (Now I don't have to write anything) : ) Also, the book "Console wars" is a pretty good historical document.

@Dipper723
The CD format would have made the N64 a lot slower; would you like to change disks after going into every other painting, in Mario 64?

@Jetset
Thanks for the link. That's a great reference.

Gamecube's handle should have been removed... It served no purpose.
